Physical Description/Summary on Gria: Vetis is a member of the Gria race. Gria are a human-like race that develop a scaled tail and a pair of small dragon-like wings on their back. Their tails are on the shorter side and pointed at the end. Mainly used for balance for the wings, the tail is also fairly strong and can be used to temporarily fend off enemies.
There are not many pure Gria that populate the world due to the lack of male Gria that exist (Something to do with the way chromosomes mix). There are however a good number of half-Gria in the world.
A Gria's wings, while representing that of a dragon's wings, are not very large at all. They come in a variety of colours and in Vetis' case, they are a faded red where the webbing is and a deeper red where the flesh structure of the wings are.
As far as size goes, Grias are generally smaller than humans and therefore tend to fall for the more agile and/or magic related classes.
Here is an image of a Gria, P.S. This isn't Vetis, just an image
Character Personality/Background: Vetis can easily be thought of as a villain by many, and rightfully so. Being over a hundred years old, Vetis has had a long time to develop and understand the world. And as far as he is concerned, times change and things change...a lot. In all his years, Vetis has decided that whatever path leads to what he wants the way he wants it to, is the right path. Due to this thought process, Vetis pretty much does whatever he wants, getting him into some trouble with the "righteous" every once in a while.
Vetis has a very open mind and he tries to keep it open although he does have a few pieces of hard knowledge ingrained into his head...
1. Humans are some of the craziest types of people out there. Vetis has seen many races and hung around allot of bad people who think of pretty nasty plots. In the end, it is the humans who can do the worst things to other people, including themselves.
2. Any ends justify any means.
3. Don't worry about what other people think, its what I think that matters most!
4. You can do what you want as long as you don't get caught!
Vetis is also intrigued by and loves to hear quotes. Yes, the kind of quotes that people make when they tell you how to live your life, how you should think, or how much the world sucks. Two of his favorite quotes are as follows:
“Whenever I'm caught between two evils, I take the one I've never tried.” - May Whistlethun, accomplished pub dancer from Tamasha.
“We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell” - Oscarus Wildehorn, popular Gria scribe and writer of "How to Deal with Humans of the Evil Persuasion"
(( For good measure, These are actual quotes fyi ))
Background: Vetis, as stated before, has been around for quite a while....
Unfortunately, Vetis prefers to keep his background and origins unbeknown to others, for he rather dislikes his childhood and aside from that, prefers to keep others guessing)
NOTE: Although Gria's have wings, they cannot fly the way a bird or dragon can. The small size of the wings allow a Gria to quickly rise into the air and hover a few meters off the ground, but it is impossible for a Gria to fly high in the sky and for hours on end the way a bird can. A Gria's wings are not meant to be used as a way of going long distances but rather from place to place in combat or off ledges.
