"Atamis it's me Mav, snap out of it. You damned fool, if you don't regulate your breathing your going to pass out! C'mon can you hear me?" Mav was saying. Lia knelt down beside the two. "Damn!" How did they treat something that wasn't physical? "Well, then. What in the name of Denier was that?" Lia shrugged. "I don't know about this Denier, but I believe this might be mental or internal in some way. Perhaps cursed? I believe that is possible is it not?"
As the man toppled over she realized this could potentially be easy pray,....
she began breathing heavy.....must drink... so ...
eyes wide, "is... he okay?"

"Yes i suppose those are possibilities, we'll have to ask him when he wakes up...."
"is... he okay?"
Mav had completely forgotten about the young girl sitting on the other side of the fire. Looking up he noticed she was breathing heavily, her eyes wide. At that moment he realized how odd this must seem to her, being led into a camp, and a few seconds later watching a man topple over unconscious. It was perfectly reasonable thats she should be somewhat perturbed.
The girl didn't seemed frightened though. Mav couldn't place it, but something about her seemed...... off.
"Yes, he's okay for now. However i have no clue as to when he'll wake up so we may be stuck here till morning or longer. We should probably set up a watch, ill take first shift if no one has any objections."
In the back of his mind, the voice scoffed silently
Fool....

When the girl spoke, Lia jerked her attention to her, cursing that she had allowed herself to forget about the newest member of the camp. She seemed to be struggling, but Lia couldn't place why. It didn't seem like she was disturbed by the Knight's condition, at least not in the way that they were. But then, creatures tended to act strangely in new environments.
"Yes, he's okay for now. However, I have no clue as to when he'll wake up so we may be stuck here till morning or longer. We should probably set up a watch, i'll take first shift if no one has any objections."
Lia nodded her agreement to Mav; they did need a watch. "I think it should just be you and I on watch, Mav. The girl doesn't look well. She needs to rest most of all, I think. Is that acceptable?"

"no,... no no. its fine every one can get some sleep I'm tired but theres no reason for you two to baby me. I'm a big girl i can help...." Lial said, though her attention seemed wholly focused on the inert paladin.
Never one for conflicts, Mav smiled at her enthusiasm and nodded his consent.
"You can have first watch then, in 3 hours wake me up and i will relieve you, then Lia can take final watch. I would suggest you keep the fire burning, it may ward off more than just the cold nights air."
Grabbing his pack Mav walked over and laid down with his back to the fire. Sighing he thought of how long of a night this would be. Having lost the need for sleep just over a century ago he would be forced to lay relatively still for the next three hours to keep up the ruse. N
Not that anyone with half a brain wouldn't stay awake he thought. Being in a camp with three complete strangers (granted one was unconscious and not much of a threat) put you in a poor predicament indeed if they decided that you were more of a asset dead. Mav would bet quite a sum of money that Lia, and Lial if she wasn't as naive as she appeared to be, wouldn't be sleeping a wink tonight.
Resolved to stay lying down until his shift Mav focused on his surroundings, constantly listening for trouble.

Lia scowled when Mav told Lial that she could have first watch. And if she sat close to the fire, or went near Atamis, then she couldn't do much. She was tired after the fight earlier, meaning her guns were nearly useless and her Jian was her only form of protection, and a sword meant close combat. She wouldn't come near the fire, and she refused to use the last of her energy around these strangers.
She glared at Mav as he settled in, and then huffed before she moved to the tree limb she was eying earlier. Her eyes closed and ears hardened, knowing that the girl wouldn't hear the farther dangers if she was as human as she looked. It crossed her mind that she may be too hard on the young girl, but pushed the thought aside. There was no room for trust. For all she knew, Atamis was in a strange trance that would cause him to wake up as soon as everyone's guard is down and kill them all.
Lia sighed and relaxed, leaning into the tree. It would be pointless to think about those things. She couldn't prevent them now without killing everyone, and that just didn't sound very fun to her. Or she could leave, but then she wouldn't get to learn about what they are looking for. Her curiosity overwhelmed the desire to leave. Besides, it promised to be fun in the end, even if any of them tried to kill the others.

Atamis awoke the darkness gone. He could feel again and his head pounded heavily as if his mind were trying to escape its skull
Blinking through blurred vision he saw Lial sitting close by
"What happened to me?"

"uh I well was running from monsters and your brave companion found me, as i came to this gorgeous circle of friends you passed out and started . I was going to take first watch, but your awake now are you feeling okay?"
Inching her self closer to the trembling man

Uhtgard spotted the light from incredibly far off. In the darkness of night, the firelight was more than enough to spot the party and make his way towards their camp. He hoped to get some needed repairs or at least supplies to repair himself with.
As he got closer he noticed a small girl sitting next to a disheveled looking man.
"Hello there!" Uhtgard called out, "Mind if I join your group for the night? Some more protection would be a welcome commodity in these mountains."

As Atamis regained consciousness Mav decided it was time to get up. Feigning grogginess he rose to his feet and quickly made his way over to the sickly warrior. As he approached he heard the short explanation offered by Lial and chuckled to himself. "uh I well was running from monsters and your brave companion found me, as i came to this gorgeous circle of friends you passed out and started . I was going to take first watch, but your awake now are you feeling okay?"Making a quick visual sweep of Atamis he guessed that the paladin would be OK, at least for the time being, and with morning a little more than an hour away began setting up for breakfast. He had barely got the fire going brightly again when a voice called out from the edge of the clearing, "Hello there!, Mind if I join your group for the night? Some more protection would be a welcome commodity in these mountains." Still chuckling to himself Mav stood and addressed the stranger "On the contrary, company seems to come all to easily in these mountains stranger! Feel free to join us though, our dirt is your dirt." Turning back to the fire Mav continued making preparation for the new days journey.

Lia frowned at the newcomer and dropped from her perch and coming over to sit close to the fire, though she still stayed wary of it. She knew that fire was necessary, even if she didn't need it. Watching the group carefully, she spread her wings and let them stretch out.
"What is your plan for this day?" Lia asked Atamis and Mav as everyone settled in to wait for the sun. She looked at Lial. The girl almost seemed to look worse than before. "Are you feeling well? You still don't look well."

Lial's eyes watched every single motion that every one made. She sat shaking in agony , with one hand over her stomach. She would not last long she had to have blood. and with all these people it didnt look like it was going to be easy, as Lia moved from her perched Lial tensed up and shift her eyes towards her.
"What is your plan for this day?" Lia asked Atamis and Mav as everyone settled in to wait for the sun.
Lial stared away from Lia to avoid eye contact.
She looked at Lial. The girl almost seemed to look worse than before. "Are you feeling well? You still don't look well".
She jumped at Lia's question. Looking up still shaking, "I'm cold....thats all" she lowered her gaze. Trembling, she sat on the ground in a ball clenching something in her right hand against her neck. Blood dripped from her hand.
"please.. make the pain and hunger go away father." she said in a whisper.

"What is your plan for this day?" A plan? Mav hadn't really considered a plan. He seldom thought to far ahead because he enjoyed being caught unexpectedly by all the little surprises fate threw his way. However, seeing as the paladin was obviously not well enough to travel immediately he guessed waiting in camp a bit longer wouldn't hurt.
"Personally i am following the paladin, you all are free to leave. I suppose i have to wait until he is recovered enough to travel though."
Casting a sidelong glance at Lial he paused, was it his imagination or did she look paler? That combined wit ht the fact that she was in the fetal position trembling on the ground didn't do much to put his mind at ease.
Standing up he approached her and squatted so that he was at eye level with her.
"Lial, are you OK?"
