Carthee was astonished to see James begin to change. At first, Carthe assumed the elf was about to faint, leaving Carthe to fight the criminal paladin himself. Thats when the Elf really began to change.
The next thing Carthe knew, the elf no longer looked like his former self. Thats when, to Carthe's surprise, the elf bent down and began tearing the flesh from the dead guard's neck and sucking the blood. Holy nuts! though Carthe. This guy has definitely lost it!
Realizing that James was no longer who he was five minutes earlier, Carthe decided it was best for him to fade into the shadows and let the two before him duke it out.
Carthe kept his swords at the ready as he stepped back into the darkness, observing the coming fight. He decided he would jump in only if the elf began to lose but he had a feeling the elf was not the same one he had met earlier in the mountains. He had the look of murder in his eyes and the way he had eaten the dead corpse of the guard suggested to Carthe the elf was a dangerous person to be around at the moment.

Gilashi smirked, the Paladin standing in shock. HE twirled his blade nimbly with his fingers, wiping the blood form his lips on the back of his sleeve. "So, an ex-holy man? Ha, nothing I enjoy more than seeing one of god's faithful stoop so low." he said, the smooth voice covering a dark poisonus power. He began walking toward the Paladin slowly, smiling ear to ear dragging his sword along the ground. The Paladin walked backwards, nearly stumbling over himself, sneering. "I'll have you know that you are dealing with the greatest paladin to ever lived you fool!" the Paladin shouted, trying to act fierce, but the fear seeping through his voice. GIlashi laughed deeply, stopping in his tracks and lurching over, holding his sides. He finally stood back up, scratching his head. "Wow, that's a bit of a stretch isn't it? YOu may have been the best old man, but I highly doubt it. DOesn't matter now, you're just an oldcoot who god has betrayed." he laughed, the red energy beginning to swirl around the blade of his sword. The paladin mustered up his courage and ran forward, raising his sword. "Shut up and die!" GIlashi simply stood and waited for the man to reach him, when he brought up his sword in a superhuman fluid movement, knocking the paladin off blanace and leaving a perfectly clean slice int he man's armor. GIlashi smiled and propped his sword on his shoulder. "This is going to be a good warm up."
