Class: She's a High Priestess, or she would be if she didn't prefer the life of a Ranger.
Physical Description: At the height of 5'5", she was built for speed and agility, not hard labor and strength. Her hair is the pure color of fresh snow and hangs just past her buttocks, when it's not in a tight braid. Her eyes are a very bright amethyst hue. Sadly, her skin is really very much lighter than that of her kin. Where most have a very dark hued skin, often times almost black, hers is more of a gray with a light tinge of blue. On the left side of her face, a silvery scar runs in a curve from the end of her eyebrow to her jaw bone. Another runs down the back of her calve, beginning three inches under her knee and is six inches long. The last scar starts at her right collar bone and extends to her left hip bone. None of the scars are deep, or very wide. Normally she wears clothing of amethyst, lavender, or lilac hues. If not, it's deer skin. And you never see her without her staff, sword, dagger, and whip.
Personality: She is not the typical Drow. She still treats most men as inferior, but she is usually kind. There have been times, often, where she has given into her fears and allowed her companion to protect her.
Weapons: Staff She carved of willow bark, a line of silver studs spirals counter-clockwise up its length. A large emerald the size of a melon was shaped as a crescent moon and hollowed out and place on the top. Magic Light fills the emerald and dims and brightens at Chalaun's will. It is named Jhul. Charmed.
Dagger Named Umrae, Faith, the blade is of the finest metals and curved like a wolf fang. The hilt is ivory inlaid with amethyst stones and golden studs. The blade is as long as her arm, the hilt is half of that.
Sword It matches the dagger for the most part and is named Hurz, or True. The only difference is that there is a black opal at the top of the hilt. It is a longsword, just so we're all clear.
Whip Just a simple High Priestess whip with seven barbed tassels. It's made of black leather. The hilt is willow wood wrapped in the same black leather. She calls it Sol, Nimble.

The name means Devoted Friend. He's a large demonic wolf with a pelt of pure white. He lost his left eye in a battle long ago. His other eye is gold. He and Chalaun have been together forever. He is very protective of the priestess and does not like men. She will tolerate them and other women when Chalaun tells him to. He, being a Demon, is Immortal and is as tall as Chalaun's elbow at the shoulder.

History

106 years ago, the day after Chalaun's first birthday, her clan, Arabtlar --The Daughters of Mysteries--, was attacked by their neighbors. A strange Demon Wolf had found his way into the Underdark days before and had stalked the city's border. Warriors had kept him at bay, but could not kill him. As the challengers advanced, so did he... Both were focused on one person... The girl-child named Chalaun. One to kill her, the other to protect.

Illiamcryl found her first, when all of her family had rushed to protect the city. Few of the clan survived the attack. Those that did were priestesses and a few male soldier. Chalaun was found in the care of the wolf, who had lost his left eye fighting off the enemy.

Over the next fifty years, the priestesses raised her and taught her the Craft and their ways -- Always under the strict protection of Illiamcryl. But why had the target of that dreadful attack been her? The young Drow had often wondered about that. Never the less, she learned her lessons quickly and advanced up the social ladder with amazing speed.

But good things must end to allow more good. It had been her own parents that provoked the attack, they having snuck into the neighboring clan and assassinated several of their priestesses. With every one of Chalaun's accomplishments, her clan grew more wary of her. Her parents had been successful at killing their enemies, so could not she be as skilled if she wished to kill one of her own?

Eventually the suspicion drove her out of the Underdark into the light, where she took on the life of a Ranger, of sorts, and converted to the alliance of the Mother Goddess. Now she has been one of the Mother's High Priestesses for fifty-two years, traveling when and where she pleases, helping those that she could, with her friend and protector, Illiamcryyl.
