James smiled, sighing as he watched Naria go. He leaned against the wall once more. "A wise woman you are indeed." he commented as she went off to find her sister. The raucous sound of laughter broke through the thoughts.
"You gotta be kiddin me. You're fallin for her aint ya kid?" Gilashi prodded, as James could feel his presence swirling and moving through his very being. "My god you're hopeless. Seriously, is this why you're sticking around? For some healing freak of nature and a brat?"
"No, I am staying because I can help more people here then by sitting on some throne and telling a lot of people what to do with their lives." James snapped back angrily, searching for GIlashi in his mind. As he closed his eyes, he allowed his spirit to drift, traveling to that all too familiar place in his mind...
James stood in the middle of a pitch black void, devoid entirely of light. Though there was no floor or sky, He stood firm and strong. Directly in front of him,a few yards away another figure stood. He looked very similar to James, but his hair was long enough that it nearly swept the ground, and it was bright silver. His eyes shone through the darkness as blood red rubies, and the black leather vest and pants he wore blended in seamlessly with the darkness.
"Please, you and I know this has nothing to do with you are your daddy issues. This is about you and your pretty little human girl." Gilashi snickered, covering his mouth with a clawed hand in the distance. James merely shook his head and sighed.
"It's true, I have developed feelings for her, but that is not why I stay..."
Gilashi was instantly an inch away from James's face sneering. "Listen kid. It's just you and me, for eternity, that's how it will be. Until your worthless body becomes mine,t here is no way in hell anybody will accept yo for what you are. This little lad is just on a road trip, and you're practically a form of transportation that's easier then the rest." He backed away slightly, smiling his shark like toothy grin. James sighed and shook his head again, angrily.
"Even if that was the case, I will still help them. It's my duty, and it is the right thing to do." He opened his eyes and James was back leaning against the wall. In the split second it took him to blink, he had that conversation with his internal demon. He opened the door and decided to follow Naria to assist in finding Pippa.
