The beautiful blue skies, a cheering crowd standing on the streets and a small puff of smoke. 14 year old Aaron Silas had just concluded his magical performance infront of some town markets. As he quickly held his breath, he moved a few steps back away from the fading dust cloud before him was able to avoid contact.
"Thank you everyone, I hope you enjoyed the show!" Said Aaron.
People from the audience began continuing their business and walked back along the main dirt road. Aaron gathered his things and the little change he had made. He slipped on his messenger bag around him and started walking.
But from the corner of his eye, he spotted a little girl getting picked on by an older boy. He saw the girl was crying. Aaron walked up to them casually. The younger boy was holding a doll above her, high enough she couldn't reach. He kept on laughing, but stopped as Aaron had grabbed it from his grasp. The girl stopped crying and looked up at him. The younger boy snarled at him.
With his other hand that was free, he snapped trice infront of the young boys face and suddenly, in his hand appeared a snake! He screamed and ran away.
Aaron tightly gripped the snake and it poofed away. The little girl continued to stare at Aaron is awe.
Bending down to her height, he handed her the doll back. She was hesitant, but took it back slowly, her gaze not leaving his. Aaron smiled, he moved his hand towards her ear, tugged on her ear lobe and there in his hand appeared a beautiful red rose. The girl gasped in amazement. Aaron then placed the red flower behind her ear and stood up.
The young girl smiled widely and thanked him. His smile grew and patted her head. She ran off and he continued his way.
'Most people here are nice,' Aaron thought as he looked around the street. People were waving at him kindly. 'But there's nothing here that'll bring me closer to them . . . I have keep going.'
After some time, Aaron had made his way out of town and on a trail. He looked back and saw the town shrinking with every step he made. But as he looked up ahead, infront of him a forest began to grow. Selkia Forest was it's name.
It began to get darker, thicker, tree's were closing off the sunlight. Things began to get creepier. But that didn't bother him, he's been through many other forests and came out alive.
It became dead silent. There were no other noises but the sounds of his footsteps. Aaron took a deep breath and looked around. Nothing but tree's and bushes. He noticed his shoe was untied when he looked downward. When he bent down to tie it . . . he gulped as he saw a bush ahead of him begin to rustle.
