Even though she had closed her eyes and she felt drained, she did not sleep. Her mind was buzzing with thoughts and her skin was prickling. Goosebumps covered her arms and legs, as if a cold blanket was on her and refused to budge. It was one of the worst nights she had faced. She had never felt so miserable. All the deaths she had caused, so much pain....so much blood. All the children, their mothers and fathers, everyone. No one was given mercy, and her hands had caused their demise. As these thoughts seeped into her mind once more, she felt more tears creep down, mournful tears. She began to murmur 'I'm sorry' under her breath, which was coming in gasps. Everytime she had done something like this, it was the same. She didn't care for people who hurt her but the innocent people who didn't ask for it was what made her heart drop. Time became meaningless as she cried and apologized. She was unsure how long she had been doing it, but after some time when she knew she wasn't going to sleep she got up.
Rubbing her face, which was sticky with sweat and dirt, she sat up on the bed. It was dawn now, as when she looked outside a mist had laid over the town and the sun was beginning to shine. The rain looked like it had come to a halt, more of a reason to leave as it meant that anyone who was due to come to the town but was held back from the rain would come. They had to leave.
Stretching out her hurt wing, she was disappointed to find that it still hurt, making her still not able to fly. A few more hours and she would, but did they have a few hours? She didn't think so, and so decided to get moving, even if it meant she couldn't fly but had to walk. Getting out of the bed, stretching out her legs, which had thankfully healed completely but still felt awkward to walk, she made her way to Minh. Kneeling down, covering herself with her wing, she poked his arm and said, looking at the open door.
"Minh, we have to leave. Try and well...I don't know...'prepare' yourself."

It was a long, lonely night. But at least he slept. Not that Minh's mind wanted to, or felt it was right to, but his body had taken priorities and shut itself down for recovery. A cycle everyone goes through. He hadn't heard Sylvia's sobbing, not at first. But the dreams he had were filled with him walking down long roads, always chasing the fleeting image of a small, sobbing young girl.
"Minh, we have to leave. Try and wel...I don't know...'prepare' yourself."
He heard that moments after he woke up. His first reaction was to groan, and roll over. Then a few moments later, he was awake to the throbbing, dull ache of his chest wound. The Harlequin shuddered and pushed at the ground, moving up to his elbows as he stared around,
"Do you have any more water?" He asked, surprised at his own voice. More that it actually worked, but it was raspy and weaker than he felt. Slowly, Minh sat up, trying to avoid moving his chest at all, and scooted his back against the post of the bed.
The Half-elf's head hung lazily, but moved to look around and out into the bright, blaring sunlight,
"You said we had to move? Why? Where? When?" He asked, voice still raspy and weak. He knew, somewhere in his mind, where rational thoughts were taking a break, that she was right. But at the moment, in the grogginess of sleep, he just wanted to stay there and rest more.

"Hmm, water? Yeah, still have some..." Her mind was on other things so her reply came out in a distracted tone. Reaching for the bucket, which was still in the place she had left it the night before, she raised it to his mouth, and as she had done so before, let around a mouthful run into his mouth before she placed it at his side again. As she looked at him, she felt sorry for him, being so weak. At least she healed quickly, he still had to suffer. How she wished she was trained enough in the medical area to help him, but alas she wasn't.
Standing up once more, she went on to think of how she was going to transport him from here to a village. She could get him to walk, but looking at how he could hardly speak, she doubted he could walk a couple of miles. Perhaps she could build some sort of stretcher to carry him in? But again, she quickly discarded that idea. It would be impossible for her alone to carry him in a stretcher. Her last idea was to carry him. It would be possible, even for her seemingly weak looking body, but it would be a struggle. However, it would be better then sitting around here waiting for someone to come across them, someone to come across her. Plus she just had to carry him into somewhere protected, where she would be able to hide him at least if someone came around. Then she would carry him while she flew, which would be a lot easier.
As she went through her plan, she heard his question. She was about to say 'I already told you!' before she caught her tongue. "So he really couldn't hear me.." She thought to herself. So, acting as if this were the first time, she explained.
"Why? Well because you need someone who can actually help you, someone trained to help people with injuries. I doubt you'll last very long if we stay in this place.
Where? Some village nearby, around here they're usually reasonably near to eachother. We'd make it somewhere by the end of the day if my wing heals, hopefully.
When? Well, right now dummy. I would love to say 'after breakfast', but there's not a lot of time to waste. I'll grab some stuff from the cupboards here and we'll eat in the forest where we'll be safe until my wing heals."

Minh drank the water gratefully, taking gulps of the refreshing liquid like a desert to rain. Quietly, he watched her pace around, seemingly in deep thought about what to do next. Minh grunted in frustration as he tried to pull himself up on to the bed so he could at least sit there and not be laying around the floor anymore.
With an amount of effort and several failed attempts, Minh managed to make it up. Chest burning with pain, the Half Elf huffed a few exasperated breaths in between shifting about to set himself upright. He was determined, if anything, to not look like a useless fool. He'd done enough of that getting his ass handed to him by Demon-Sylvia.
He only vaguely registered what Sylvia was saying in response to his barrage of questions. The young man's head was still swimming with dulled pain, sleep confusion, and hunger. Sylvia mentioned breakfast which made Minh laugh harsly - since it was quickly cut off by the pain of his chest,
"We don't have a breakfast to wait for." He commented dryly. His demeanor had shifted from when they first met. He was more solemn now, as if accepting things he had simply refused before. Resigning himself to fate, and whatever it had in store for him. He felt completely out of control of his world, the world he had forged from loneliness in his youth. Now there wasn't any sort of control, and he was in a sort of shell shock about it. It can be equated to the death of a close relative. You never expect them to go, everything is fine, but then suddenly they're not there anymore. There's nothing you can do about it, you are forced to simply cope with that loss whether you like it or not.
Minh's face was still stained with what the rain hadn't washed away. His harlequin outfit was shredded and torn, especially around the chest area. He had some new scars on his face, and would certainly have a tale to add to his act if he lived through this. The Half Elf grinned,
"You know you're the only one who's seen my face... I may have to kill you for it." he joked, cackling painfully before coughing a bit.
It was then he noticed what he hadn't before. His dizziness was present, but there was something else. It wasn't blood loss dizziness, it was subtly more sinister. He reached a hand up to his forehead as his body shivered - it was burning hot, and that was when Minh realized he was really in trouble,
"We... Much as I hate to say it. You're right... We need to go." He mumbled, letting his hand fall limply onto the bed.

His lame attempt of a threat made her break into a small laughter, replying back in an instant.
"Oh psh, you're the one who took it off back at the fire, your own fault. Plus, you can't do anything like that. ." Her laughter faded away as she remembered their first encounter, her hostility and his calmness. It only a matter of days they had become so close, she had never been so attached to someone her whole life. Would she regret it? Probably, but she usually regretted things she did all the time. How the times had changed since their first meeting.
Breaking from her thoughts as he spoke once more, she noticed how sweat was beginning to drip down his face, more so then usual. It looks like he was getting worse, it was only a matter of time now. As she made her way towards him, she said in a teasing manner.
"God, you're agreeing to something I do. You must really be screwed." Standing beside the bed, she crossed her scrawny arms, wondering how she was going to manage to carry him without causing even more pain then he was in now. It was a tough situation to deal with, but it's not like they had much other options. So, stretching out her arms and rolling her shoulders back, she bent down, her body turned sideways as she reached for Minh, saying loud enough that hopefully he would hear.
"I'm going to carry you now Minh, please just bare with me. It'll probably. . .actually it most like will hurt like hell."

"Well you hadn't left me much of a choice. I was starving already and you wouldn't have let me enjoy such fine company if I had left it on." Minh reasoned. His thoughts and words were more coherent now, but his face was flushed and pale from a growing sickness.
He stood up. It was more a force of will, and his first thought was what a miracle it was he had stood up in the first place. The victory over gravity and fatigue were short-lived, however,
"Nonsense.. I... I'll.. W-wa-" the world became unfocused as small spots danced across his vision. Blackness etched the corners of his eyes and Minh's limbs became heavy. Suddenly his legs gave way, and the Half Elf fell back to the bed with a quickness.
Coughing once and groaning, Minh whined,
"I can... Walk..." his mouth mumbled and moved, but he wasn't having a good time anymore. He just barely made out Sylvia standing over him which forced him to close his eyes tightly and wait for the inevitable.
Damn, stubborn girl...

"Pffft, fine company. I bet you're so glad you stuck around me now. . ." Her voice trailed off as she was surprised by his attempt to stand up. Although she used to word 'attempt' loosely as he lasted for about 5 seconds before he went crashing back down onto the bed.
"Wow, yup, you can definitely walk. You could outwalk me, gosh." Her irritation was beginning to grow, and it could be seen in the way she spoke. She just wanted to get this over with, why did men have to be so damn proud?
Returning to her stature from before, she placed her arms as gently as she could under him and with a deep breath lifted him up. She didn't expect him to be quite so heavy, so she almost dropped him but she regained herself and through many awkward painful moments she eventually got him facing her back.
"I don't care if it hurts Minh, but just try and keep ahold of me with your legs and arms, I can only do so much." She did feel mean for being somewhat tough on him, but she knew there wasn't really any other way. Grabbing his legs and wrapping them around her waist, she began to walk slowly. His weight slowed her down quite a bit, but it was better then nothing, and so she began her very slow trek to the woods. To safety.

Minh laughed weakly, but drooped a bit forward and righted himself. He was too tired to argue, or fight against her trying to pick him up. The Harlequin was struggling to stay awake as it was.
The pain was immense, and served to wake him up a bit more, but the last few days had long since been taking their toll on him. He had pushed every boundary and limit his body posessed, then shattered that and ran with it. He had lost his most precious friend whom was, up until this point, his only friend.
The young Half Elf struggled with consciousness for a while, squnting his eyes as they stepped out into the sunlight, before falling unconscious and probably becoming dead weight on Sylvia's back.

[[ Don't worry about it (: ]]
Each step was like a mile. A very slow mile. A mile that probably took a day or so. Even though it was a tiny step, she couldn't help but feel her energy dwindle at each movement, which in turn caused her frustration to be at a all time high. She hated how she was so slow. With her wings she was so used to be quick and agile. Now she was the complete opposite. It pissed her off big time, but she expected beforehand that it would, which was good as it made her continue, too stubborn to just give up. It was like someone was mocking her, saying she was slow, to which she would speed up just slightly to prove that person wrong.
As she had this battle in her head, although she had become slightly quicker, it did make her completely oblivious to everything around her, which was going to be disastrous as travelers were just outside of the village. Although the murder that she had done would hold them up for a while it would only be a matter of time before they moved further into the village to look for survivors and see her and Minh. And she was completely oblivious to this.
Just stepping out of the village, she began to make the slow trek up a small hill to the forest. As soon as she began to think that they made it, a number of yells broke her concentration. Stopping, turning her head around, she saw people pointing towards her, their yells getting angry. It seemed as though her wings gave her away once more as she heard them faintly saying 'demon'. Fantastic. Brilliant in face.
Cursing, she began to panic slightly as they made their way towards her, their sprints much faster then her walking. There was no way in hell she was going to make it out alive if she stayed here. She couldn't outrun them and she was obviously in no condition to fight. If only she had a distraction, someone to take their anger away. It was then, as she spotted Minh at the side of her, that she mentally kicked herself for being an idiot. She needed Minh to be taken somewhere safely, and because those people had nothing against him, they would surely take him to a nearby village, since he was on the brink of death and all. Without her there, Minh would live. It was perfect.
So, gently taking Minh off, well more like sliding him off since she couldn't stop him as he crashed to the grass below, she began to back away, the travelers moving closer and closer to her. Giving one last glance to Minh in his dreadful state, she couldn't help but whell up with tears. This would perhaps be the last time she ever saw him. But, it was for the best in this situation. If she wanted to see him again, she had to survive, as did he. So, turning around, she made a pathetic run into the forest. Dodging the rocks which they threw at her, she disappeared into the forest, the shadows consuming her and making her invisible.

The villager was beant over the unconscious and prone form of Minh. Staring with contempt into the Half-elf's face, "Look what it left behind!" He called out, bringing a few more around, "Looks like some kind of half-elf.. Probably consorting with the demon!" a voice shouted with unbidden disgust, "Look at him, nearly dead! He probably got what he deserved from those villagers while the pregnant dog killed them all!" The first voice responded. Two more murmured their agreements and the sound of a dagger being drawn was heard. Somewhere off in the direction Sylvia had fled, a voice called out, "It's escaped! The demon is gone!" followed quickly by more voices of concern, anger, frustration, and promises of murder to come. The few gathered around Minh's un-conscious form talked amongst themselves, "Let's just kill him, right here!" The one with the knife ssuggested, "No, just leave him to rot. I'm sure he'll bleed out with that wound." Another spat, "We should take him captive... Lock him in prison and show him the price of his sins. Did you see the demon? Practically no clothes. Wouldn't be surprised if he was her... Lover or something." The man's voice was full of vile disgust now, "Let's take him and teach him a lesson before killing him. Death isn't justice enough..." They decided, "We'll hunt the pregnant dog later. Once we're done with her plaything." He growled. Minh was still unconscious, and knew nothing of the accusations, while still being defenseless against their actions. He would be taken to the next largest town with a prison and probably kept for some time until execution, more than likely by public hanging. Of course, that is permitting he doesn't escape first. [ I suppose this is the end? ._. You've actually given me a VERY interesting idea for my character now :3 Thinking of making him become a Demon Hunter, using that guise to find Sylvia again. And he already vowed to give up blades, now he will simply use a staff instead. Blunt objects all day. ]

[[ Pffft, well it /could/ be the end or we could continue for a bit longer with possible escape routes for Minh when he wakes up or Slyvia seeing the humans and following them to the village to keep an eye on him then seeing him put on for execution and schtuff happens. :'D
Or we could continue with Minh as a demon hunter, which you suggested making him, and make up a story for how he escaped from the village and then he ends up seeing Slyvia again and is like 'WHY DID YOU LEAVEEE MEEEE' and she's like 'WHAT D:>' Ah sure idk, I'll leave the decision up to you, since I'm pretty awful with them.
