Clouds formed above the forest trees, most animals hid away. They knew a storm was coming. But the air was thick with energy as well. Soon enough In the night. Within the dark clouds red static crackled across the sky. A portal opening up out of sight of those on the ground. Sending a red meteor through the sky and clouds and soon striking the ground deep within the trees. Though upon closer investigation there was nothing but a small crater. A ways off though, a sword had embedded itself deep in a tree. The tree would shrivel up and turn into a black stone.
The tree had long past died, but it kept hold of its own new treasure. Possessive of it now. A slight voice echoing from it though.
More time… More time… Escape… Escape…
Hands grasped the handle. As its been done many times before. This being was able to pull it free of the crumbling tree. Present… The blade sat in a shop now. Its edges dull and color dim. Most just thought it was a decoration at this point. Though they didn’t know the true power which was stirring inside. It had many owners before coming here. Each wielder died because of the sword. Or from its influence or power. Azazell sat in the blank white world. No sign of a wall ceiling or floor. He didn’t seem to be on anything, just floating. A window in front of him. He was weak still. He watched many people look at him through the blade. None saw him of course. None would…
He waited patiently.
I need a wielder… I need to get more power to escape this world. Why am I so week here? The airs energy is to thin…. I need a wielder… I need… A sacrifice

James Tekkarro walked through town with little mind to the goings on around him. After departing from the kingdom, it seemed every task he found himself working upon led to only more trouble for himself. He kept his hand tight on the hilt of Ferinwe, knowing that this world was far too dangerous not to be prepared at all times. He was just thinking about stopping to grab a bite to eat when the all too familiar voice echoed in his head. "Hey kid. Ya feel that? Something is weird around here. I'm feeling something that is definitely not one of those pathetic human souls...Me thinks its your duty to investigate Mr.Hero." James rolled his eyes as Gilashi continued to cackle in his head. Though he was disgusted with him, he was right. There was something off about the town today. A power that seemed very ancient...and very powerful.
Within moments James stopped dead in his tracks. It was as if death himself trailed his cold skeletal finger along his spine. As he looked to his right there was an old weapon shop, looking as though it was in danger of falling to pieces any moment. James was being pulled to that place as he felt a might as if the grip of a behemoth closing around him. Without more than a knowing snicker from Gilashi in his mind, james walked into the shop through the door. He looked upon the wall. THere was no need to search, he already felt what he came in here for. He pointed with a gloved hand, and in a voice that sounded as if two spoke at once, one soft and caring, yet the other brutal and merciless, said, "That sword. I wish to purchase it. Now."

The store keep looked up, an elderly man. He's possibly worked there for years, "Are you sure?" He glanced up, uncaring. "That sword has a curse on it, so unless you can weild it correctly its a bad buy" he chuckled some. He's possibly sold the sword many times. He walked out from behind the counter, waddling over his arms folded behind his back. "Just take it, its possibly the reason why I havng gotten customers."
Unseen eyes watched through the dulled blade, angry at first when the clerk seemed to want to scare off who ever spoke of it. Though he relaxed waiting patiently to be taken off its dusty stand and finally be used for something other than chopping wood.

James nodded sure ignoring all the man said. All he knew is he needed the sword. To explore its origins and what the source was of the strange aura flowing off of it in torrents. He walked to the sword and gripped its hilt as he pulled it from the wall as his eyes went wide and the feeling of broken glass rushing through his veins struck him. The power this sword contained made him uneasy, but he hoped he would be able to handle whatever strange power this blade possessed. He stepped away merely nodding at the shop keep and walking from the store. He began to walk down the street as he began to examine and admire the wicked blade as Gilashi chuckled in his head. 'Be careful with that toy boy, wouldnt want anything happening to my body..." James ignored him as he ran a finger along the dull edge of the sword. "Whats your story..." he muttered in his gentle voice.

The old man nodded, saying a simple good bye than wishing him luck. The blade shuddering to its edge being touched. It seeming to be alive, or something along those lines.though to his mutter, and the blade being taken from the shop. A sudden burning sensaation rushed up his arm and past his shoulder. A sudden attack on his mind, a powerful force thrashing about trying to aquire any information it possibly could about this being. If his eyes didn't stray from the blade. He'd clearly see a pair of silver eyes staring back.

James felt the sensation immediately but instead of dropping the sword he tightened his grip further staring hard at the sword. For a brief moment a pair of eyes seemed to shine in the dull metal. James shivered slightly but other then that showed no sign of his concern over the strange being that he knew now lived in this blade. Once again a mocking laugh echoed in his head. "Told ya kid, bad mojo. Still think your up for the hero stuff?" GIlashi chimed, but James shook him off. He would try to find out what being was in this sword somehow.
James had traveled to his small campsite outside of the town hidden amongst trees. Before him was the sword stabbed into the ground with a circle of multiple herbs of different shapes and colors. James pressed his hands together, rubbing them on each other to prepare for what was to come. Gilashi yawned in his mind. "Okay, ya got me, what are ya planning to do?" James sighed and cracked his neck side to side. "I am going to attempt to loosen the bonding ritual I assume was put on this blade. Enough for the being inside to show himself, temporarily of course, and only if it wishes. But I'm pondering with something that felt that powerful while still trapped in an object would be dying for any chance to get out." James replied. GIlashi laughed. "yeah I know the feeling. I've been stuck with this meat puppet for years." James just ignored him and as he outstretched his hands over the herbs, smoke of several colors began to rise and swirl into one another. Suddenly the smoke became a beam and in a flash struck the hilt of the blade. Now all James had to do was wait.

The sword sat there quietly. Soon a sudden pulse of energy bounced from the blade as it made a low humming noise. A black inky liquid began to bubble up from where the sword had been stabbed into the ground. Dark red sparks lashed about the blade as the liquid rose as misshaped hand grasping the hilt. There was a slight crackling noise as armor formed from the glob of liquid, turning into a humanoid form. The eye sockets of the helmet turned a dark red glowing brightly. The sudden spark of energy withdrawing into the sword.
Azazell breathed in and out a couple of times, getting a few good breaths after so long. He chuckled and laughed some, looking towards the one who released him, “Ah! You must be the one he currently wields me… though I must say..” he drew the sword from the ground as it formed into duel blades chained together at the ends, “It will cost you dearly.” he chuckled some, still weak. The sudden spark of energy from inside the blade withdrew and he stumbled, nearly collapsing, cursing sharply.
Still not enough strength!!

James watched in awe as the shape took form before him. He had no idea what kind of being this was. Is it a demon like Gilashi? Or some kind of elemental? HE shook the thoughts away as the man began to speak. His threat did not startle James, he knew whatever spirit was inside was a malevolent one. He knew the odds when he performed the ritual. He stood stone still until he saw a chance as the man stumbled. In the blink of an eye, James had the tip of Ferinwe to the man juggular vein. The silver blades etched marking began to glow bright white as He clasped the golden handle tighter. The thin blade could pierce this entity at any moment if it was bid to. James whistled a shrill noise to call attention to this strange mans predicament. "Sir, as you can see, I already have a sword that is quite capable. Though, I did purchase your sword in order to see what kind of force Im dealing with here. And judging from your stumbling, your not a threat just yet. Now you can either play nice or I can end whatever plans you have for the future right now." James knew the threats would get through to him, and he only hoped he was ale to be interrogated politely.

Azazell Snarled low, relaxing somewhat, “Fine…” he stood back up strait, glaring towards him somewhat, “For now I am stuck to serving you as a weapon… but as soon as I get my strength back I shall not…” he growled low, changing back into the black liquid and pulling back into the blade. The ground scorched where it had been embedded. He needed more rest, not only that, he just hoped him leaving the safety of the blade, didn’t attract the attention of those who was trying to escape form.
Though before the blade was touched once more to be removed, and after Azazell receded, another inky figure pulled from it before taking a human form, grabbing the blade sheathing it. He took notice to James, giving a slight bow, “My name is Gintama… I guess you’re the one who we serve now?” he had much more energy than Azazell did, being human he didn’t rely on the power and strength his counter-part did.

James frowned and sheathed his sword as the strange man receded to his imprisonment. IT was very curious such an enchantment be placed upon a sword. What need would somebody have of suck a reckless fighter as a weapon? It did not seem to make sense to him. He was about to go forward to retrieve the blade when another presence made itself known. He stood back a bit and let himself take in the form with his eyes. "Gintama, pleasure to meet you. Seems your much more polite than the last one. And I wouldn't say serve, I have no use for either of you...but perhaps I can help you?"

Gintama heasitated, "I don't need any help... though Azazell does and I don't approve to well of his murderous ways..." he tenced the blade sending a shock up along his arm. Azazell was appearently unhappy with his words. Gintama glanced at james a moment, seeming to contemplated something. He spoke up again, "maybe there is some use for you... I fear that we were hunted to even this world..." he sighed, "I of course can't stand a chance against them and Azazell wont be able to fight against them..."
Gin took a somewhat thoughtful gaze though it wasn't directed to james but his own internal conversation. He gave a slight nod before looking to the young man once more, "We will lend you our power in hopes you help us gain much more..." Azazell growled, that wasn't what he wanted asked, Gintama had wounderful skills when it came to weaponry fighting. Though he didn't bother argueing any more, they would need help, and quite soon.

James nodded and sat on a nearby stump, intrigued by this man's story. Gilashi laughed. 'Murderous ways? I could learn to like this guy." James ignored the voice once more but continued to listen. He stood once more and once again drew his sword. letting it glisten in the moonlight. "I will help you of course, for your story is indeed a marvelous and intrigueing one. Though I will not use that sword unfortunately, I will help you gain power as long as it does not break my code of honor..." he walked closer twirling the sword before sheathing it and smirking. "In other words, I will not kill anyone who doesn't deserve it.

Gin gave a slight not, "That is fine with me... there is much that hasn't been told yet though, i'll inform you at a different time, but for now" he glanced around uneased, "I do sence some of our fathers minions are on their way.. its no longer safe to be here..." just as azazell had did he changed the swords shape but more into a bracelt. He would later go on to explain that in order to keep from being destroyed or caught the blade wasn't always in one form for to long.

James nodded and smirked. Gilashi laughed inside. "Daddy issues as well? Damn kid what have you gotten us into?" James looked around also sensing a strange presence. "Yes, I do feel something coming. Not much of a threat though. We will keep you two safe as long as you keep your word about telling us your tale at a later date." James explained, while readying his hand upont he hilt of his sword

He nods, "fair enough, you may lead, I know nothing of these lands..." he chuckled abit, he's been here for years but rarely went very far and in that time hadn't memorized where he just might be. He knew who his father sent, two of his favorite familures. This worried gintama, azazell even more. Though he was quite ready to go.
