((OOC: No problem! And since you're a paid assassin, perhaps you're in town because that's where your target is. Also, I hate to be going beyond my power and moderate again, but camille, you need to wait and have your character approved before posting. However, since I'm sure that'll end up happening soon, I'll go ahead and modify my post to include your entrance))
Taken aback by the sudden confession of the girl that seemed to answer some of the things he was thinking, Felix stared in slight disbelief. However, when he thought about, he did tend to make facial expressions that would match what he was thinking about. This girl must have just read his face and known what he was thinking. He made a mental note to be more conscious of how he acted when he was thinking. Having someone read your thoughts through facial expressions is a serious flaw.
What the girl said next must have meant something to Ainutsa, because she had to take a moment to calm down. Or it could be some elf thing, who knows. Felix shrugged it off. When Ainutsa spoke, however, she brought his attention to the
and revealed to him that she, in fact, was acting a little differently. She responded by leaving promptly.
"Well... this has been a very interesting night." he confessed. "...and I'm about ready to end it here. Maybe elves don't sleep often, but we humans do."
He turned around and took a few steps in the opposite direction of the
, now looking down a road headed deeper into town. He wasn't exactly sure where an inn was, but being able to go walking on his own in the quiet, still town would be a nice welcome after the commotion. Being so late, the town was dead. Nothing moved. It was a little unsettling, but reaching down and resting his left hand on the hilt of his sword brought back the small amount of lost comfort. Besides, he thought with an inward chuckle, who would dare mess with him? He was an intimidating, armed, and imposing figure who knew how to handle himself. A simple gang or drunk would think multiple times before daring to approach him.
"Ainutsa, It was nice meeting you. I never thought that I'd ever see an elf..." he added, trailing off at the end.
With that he began to walk way, moments before the
came back around the corner to rejoin them. He made a half glance to see if it truly was her, but then looked straight ahead and had to suddenly stop, as to not run into to a girl.
"Sorry..." he started to mumble, before realizing that she was
another elf.
Another one...? What is another elf doing out here and at this hour? he thought. He sighed and rubbed his hands slowly down his tired face.
This day just gets stranger and stranger...He glanced down the silent street that he was about to follow, now debating whether to stay or leave. He needed sleep, but staying could prove to be interesting...
His weariness was making it more difficult to think, so Felix chose to get sleep. He passed the new elf and began to walk down the silent street in search of an inn.
