Peace and Quiet

[Aoeclald]

Aoeclald chuckled... he fooled her.

Such a simple Assassin... talking with a Changeling. He laughed once more.

"Ahh, Jena. What a... beautiful name. So, where is it you come from and where are you headed? I might be able to give you a hand..."

"I have no destination. I only travel when I'm hired. And thankyou for the comment,"She said softly then said,"It was sweet."

What did he think she was? Some girl he could woe?

"Are you hired now to do something? How do people find you?" Aoeclald asked, sounding interested. More of a ploy to get closer to the Assassin was the real plan...

"No problem. Sweet is what I do." he said, winking.

"Well techniqually they hunt me down,"She said and smiled at his comment. He was a strange one...what was his ajenda? Did he have something up his sleeve?

[Aoeclald]

"Hunt the hunter, how intriguing. Speaking of hunting, I'm getting kind of . Would you like anything... I can cook, y'know. One of my special talents, I suppose." he said, winking. "This forest is home to some of the most delicious animals, I'm sure you could think of something. And, if you don't eat meat, I can forage, as well."

Give her what she wants, and she'll give you what you want. The thought tickled his mind, causing him to smile a toothy smile.

"I'm not a loser girl. I eat meat,"She said only because she was a terrible cook. She could bearly survive on what she ate normally. Then she looked at him smile and said,"What's so funny." She eyed him suspiciously.

"I dunno. I guess I figured that an Assassin would be tough enough to have a little meat and I guess I never really thought about what I was saying when I said it..." A horrible lie, hopefully she wouldn't catch it...

He jumped from the feeble tree limb and morphed into a large kodiak bear. He gave a low growl looking back at Jena, maybe some sort of Bear Laugh? He ran off into the dense forest and went hunting...

This was a strange man. He was obviously up to something and it couldn't be good. He was antys, too nice, and a little annoying. Though she would play his game until he showed his cards, then she'd make a move.
Lazily, she layed back on the tree and waited for him to return.

Aoeclald returned with a deer strung across his back; its head lay limp and bounced along as he he did.

Gruesome fun. he thought to himself, and smiled.

He dropped the prize to the ground and morphed back into a human where he managed to retrieve a flint and tinder where he began the tedious process of lighting a fire.

"Hey, Jena, you wouldn't mind fetching my cooking utensils out of my bag, would you?" he called as the flare caught onto the sticks. He forgot that inside his bag happened to be the gold coins that he stole from her...

Jada smelled the burning wood of the freashly made fire. It was pretty close. She streched her claws and rose from her small patch of grass she used as a bed. Jada's glossy black coat revealed her panther form.

She walked slowly through the forest smelling and searching for the fire. She wanted to find the source. She was craving a good conversation.

She looked up to see a small trail of smoke that had just reached above the tree tops. She was reaching her destination. Jada morphed into her elven form and approached the fire where she saw to firgures one male and the other female. She walked up and caught there attention.

"Hello, I smelled the fire. I was traveling by and i was wonder if you mind i join you?" Jada asked.

She jumped off the tree and landed next to his bag. She kneeled down and opened his bag. Then she grabbed what looked like his cooking utensils and a few coins clinged at the bottom of the bag. Thinking nothing of it, she walked the items to him and sat down next to the fire. Then she picked up a stick in the fire and looked at it.

Aoeclald quickly put the spit over the fire and took his carving knife to the deer.

"This isn't a job for lady work, you might want to sit back. Don't want any lads during my meal." he said, laughing. It was meant as a joke, but it sounded almost too serious.

Seeing the new elven arrival, he looked up and smiled. "Why, of course you can. I have enough deer here for a village of trolls. It is a mighty fine buck. And its skin is so pristine! I might need to make a new coat from it... or boots. I'm sure it would make a fine leather..." he continued to talk about possible choices for the coat in more of a ramble, rather than chatter. He seemed very enthusiastic on the matter.

Jena watched him then jumped when she heard someone else. It was a familiar face yet she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Though the girl had come, it had put a damper on what she had planned for the man.

Jada giggled at his rambling as she took a seat by the fire. Her saphire eyes glowed brightly in the firelight. She looked up to him, " Thank you for your kindness, My name is Jada, may I ask for yours, and your friends?" Jada asked.
