When her tone took a seductive flare, it made him wonder for a few moments. . . but he brushed it aside. Temptation was something a young man like him had been traned to resist. Robin's wings slightly awed him for the brief moments she had allowed them to appear. He saw the shadow cast on them. . . but it was not cast on the rest of her. Why?
". . .But you can change your destiny."
The normally placid tone had a vague hopefulness to it, probably from being so young. But maybe four-hundred years of being this way had made her give up. Should he try to help her find a way out? Maybe if she transcended form it would breach a technicality of some kind. And then the deal might become void. . .

Her voice sounded like velvet as she spoke to him, "You can but I can't change mine. If there is a way out, I'll find it. Until then, I have to kill my targets or I give up earth and risk a fate worse than death." She paused, "And I'm already dead." The last sentence sounded maniacal. She then took back on the seductive, velvet tone, "I'm ruled by evil. I'm not evil. That is why I'm not hurt by the cross." She moved closer and looked him the eyes. 'Wow,' she thought as she looked into his crystal blue eyes. Her smile almost faded completely as she took a few steps back. 'Ok, no more looking in the eyes,' she thought.

Leonardo blinked at her movements, thinking them a tad strange for one like her. But then his mind drifted back to her words, how she said them. Everything about her seemed a contradiction of some type or another. It interested him on an itellectual front. . . as much as an eighteen year old priest could have.
"I'm sure you will. . ."
Despite his better judgment, he allowed his hand to rest briefly on her as he finished the sentence. Once his words had concluded, the hand would fall back to his side & the passively mysterious stance would return. It was unknown to him that she found something strange in his eyes. But he intended to have her look him in the eyes. Only out of it bein right for a conversation.
". . .The Lord works in mysterious ways."

She just stared at him for a moment, avoiding his eyes. She was confused. She just didn't have a clue as to what she was confused about. His hand had rested on her shoulder. Most people was scared to touch, especially after learning she was the angel of death. She was 400, but she appeared to be 17 - which was when she died. She guessed people had thought she looked evil. Her black hair and black eyes was intimdating. She ignored his last statement because she thought it ironic to say when she is Satan's right hand. She sighed and looked at him, still avoiding his eyes, "Have any mystical powers, priest?" Her voice was soothing and seductive. No need to compare it too velvet since it was a lot softer.

No longer touching her he merely stood where he had been since the conversation began. A shake came from his head, before a very faint smile came, something not often worn by him. Surely enough, it vanished while he answered her question. An odd feeling was upon him in the way she spoke, trying his best to deny how it sounded. But would all of his secrets get revealed? There may have been a few he knew not of himself.
"Only what the others do. . . which is not very much compared to a mage I suppose. But faith sustains me just fine."
From his point of view, even Satan was not exumed from God's eyes & influence completely. But it was obvious the connection remained distant enough. Could it be from the fact Hell was a neccasary evil to contain those which did evil?

She smiled, "Faith does not protect you from everything." She paused, "I control all forms of dark magic." She pulled out a long black sword with a ruby imbedded in it, "This is my dark sword. It has magic in it also. I can also sense things and read minds." She paused once more and smiled, "Within reason, of course." She knew most people hated the way her voice sounded when speaking. It could be seductive and soothing like velvet and silk or it could be menacing. To her, there wasn't a difference. She was seductive, she couldn't help it.

"Protection is not the only thing Faith offers."
He said softly in reply, not really caring to start an argument over their beliefs. One was a Priest, & the other an Angel of Death. Lives which required similar yet different qualities. But the girl's `gifts` given from the dark sis not seem to impress him at all, even the sword. Each had been obtained through unholy means, making them useless to his eyes. . . since he would never use them himself.
"If you can read minds. . . then what am I thinking right now?"
Leonardo's eyebrow slightly arched. Why was she not looking at his eyes?

Robin sighed and closed her eyes. To have the full effect of reading his mind, she would need to look into his eyes, which she refused to do. She could only give a brief summary.. She opened her eyes, "My dear priest, I didn't tell you of my dark powers or of my sword to impress you. I just wanted to inform you. I also don't care to argue over beliefs since I don't believe in good or evil. I'm an angel of death, yes, but that doesn't mean I believe in what I do."

He looked at where her eyes were, even if she would not look to his for the rest of the time they spoke. Were his eyes repulsive to her? Nonetheless, Robin had correctly poked through most of his thoughts. Part of him believed it good now that he was not succumbing to her voice like others might have done.
"Well done."
Leonardo had no gifts like hers that he knew of at all, if he even had them. Most human beings did not after all, so it was not making him feel left out. At least she could not put thoughts in his head yet, or as of yet she had not at least.

Robin paused. He didn't seem to know it but she could still read his thoughts. She looked him narrowly missing his eyes, "If you want to ask something, ask it. I've been through enough in my time and I've been asked worse. Also, my voice is not meant to sound seductive really, it's just a natural talent." She smiled and laughed. Her laugh was much like her velvet voice, seductive and soothing.

A faint pout seemed to pass through his face at the realization she was still in his thoughts. Could she be kept out of there somehow? Oh well, he had nothing truly worth hiding from her anyway. And was certainly not about to ask about the circumstances of his death. That would place him into a haunting torment for the rest of his life.
"Why do you keep avoiding my eyes then?"
Robin had told him to ask, after all.

Robin broke her contact with his thoughts. She didn't really care all that much what he was thinking. If she needed to know something, she could more than likely find out. The question didn't seem to surprise her. She knew what he was going to ask. She didn't entirely know the answer, however. She smiled, "I'm afraid there will never be a straight answer for that." She paused and laughed, "Although, blue eyes like yours are my weakness. I don't do weaknesses." That was helf of the story. Her love's eyes had been the exact same color. She chose to leave that out. For a minute, she forgot her missing target. She should find him; she just didn't know where to look. Gabriel probally beat her to him any how. Atleast, she hoped he did.

"Ah."
So she could be defeated by his eyes, but not a Silver Cross? Oh the world was full of wonderous mysteries wasn't it. Though Leonardo did not sense her breaking contact with his thoughts. . . he had a feeling she had stopped poking around. Why? Robin no longer seemed to say what he was thinking anymore. For him that was a good thing, enjoying the natural privacy given inside his head.
For some reason the girl was worried about her `target`, yet if the person had been meant for Hell, she should have found them. Or would have at least had an easier time at it. After all, Heaven did not allow those who were evil beyond it's gates.

Robin hated how he had replied. Blue eyes were here weakness, yes. However, all she had to do was avoid them. She supressed a laugh. In all honesty, she was looking for her target and she knew where he was. He knew she was looking for him. She had given him more time and stalled going after him. She hated her job and knew stalling would get her in trouble. Ove the 400 years, her 'master' knew of her attitude but he needed her. She was the only one who would stand up to Gabriel. She didn't fear him. They had history, but she would be the last to admit it. Her target wasn't evil; her 'master' just wanted him before Gabriel got a hold of him. For some reason, this man was important to both Heaven and Hell. They never told her anything. She looked at the man before her, "You're a priest, but you don't seem to always have been one or even destined to be one." Her voice had changed from evil back to seductive.

Leonardo seemed to not try & look her in the eyes anymore, to show he had no intention of making her weak. The girl may have been Lucifer's right hand, but now he knew it was not her choice. She had only wanted to walk the Earth, not cause people to die. And for that reason he slightly sympathized with her over the situation. But still a part of him wondered if there might be a way to free her.
"I chose to be one of my own free will. I made my destiny & will continue to make it my own until the end."
Saint believed in free will, thinking it was what made human beings different from Angels. He felt in his heart that the Lord had given each person that gift for a reason & with it could try to shape the world how they wanted. For his own agenda, Leonardo wanted to change it for the better. And he wanted to leave the world with one less, specific drowl in existance. Despite all the holiness he had been taught. . . the thirst for revenge was still there buried in his heart.
