Samuel glanced up. The warm sun beat down against his pale skin, illuminating his bright blue eyes. Giving in to the heat, he slowly removed his jacket, revealing the end of a long scar that ran over his right eye and round his neck, finishing on his left collar bone.
He'd had the scar from birth, or since he could remember. It was a mystery to him, and his family.
Despite the warm and calm weather, he couldn't help the feeling something sinister was heading his way. Being born half demon had given him the ability to sense things, though he couldn't see exactly what it was. He darted his attention to his right, beginning to get paranoid. Then again to his left. "Who's there!?" He shouted, drawing a long, slender sword.

Catelyn wiped the sweat from her forehead and glanzed annoyed up at the sun. She drew a deep breath and started moving again. Shading her eyes with her hand, she saw a figure. Not far from her, the reflextion from the steel dazzled her for a moment.
- Nothing more than a lonley wanderer, put down your sword, Sire. I want no fight with you.
The white shirt lay sticky of sweat against her sunkissed skin. Women did not sweat as men, no instead of flods, the sweat covered the body in forms of pearls and made her skin all glossy. Besides the wet silkshirt the woman was dressed in simple brown pants.

He rolled quickly to his left, starlted by the noise. He searched for the owner of the voice.
"Very well." He replied, though still with caution. He slowly placed his sword back into its hilt before, moving round to see the stranger.
"May I ask who is there?" He asked, still being weary.

She pulls him in under she shades of a gove. She'd a firm and stady hold on his shoulders. And tried to look him in the eyes. If he wanted to shake her hands of him, she would let him. Catelyn only purpose for holding him was to keep him on his feet.
- My name is Catelyn. What is yours?
Her greyish-blue eye were filled with worry. Some would say not to worry for a stranger, or call her naive for doing so. But just as long this man was not a wellknown criminal or had tried to hurt her, she'd no reason to not to worry for him.
- How are you doing? We're not far from the forest, if you just stay here in the shades, I'll go for some water for ya'.

The sudden movement had made him slightly dizzy. The heat and lack of water had dehidrated him and now the most sudden movement could cause him to collapse.
"Samuel." He replied, rolling his shoulders to signal her to let go. He looked back up at her, searching for an expression of how she was feeling. All he could see was worry.
"I'm no harm. You'd get more harm from a hawk than me." He added, reasurring her. Her offer for water was most appriciated.

Catelyn left him there, under the cooling shades of some young oaks. She made her way to the forest. While under the tick roof of leaves and branch it was nice and cool. Only a warm breeze reminded her of the heat. She found her campsite and bug out some bottles, went down to the stream bubbling with the melthingyers from the mountains and filled them up. She was in a hurry and was back at the gove as quickly as she'd could.
She walked over to the man, that called himself for Samuel. Catelyn handes over the water to him.
- Here you go. Don't drink to fast.

Samuel waited while the female vanished. He slumped down against the trunk of a tree, taking deep breaths. Sweat ran down his forehead in the intense heat. Yawning, he wiped it away with his hand and tried to relax.
As much as he tried, he couldn't quite relax fully. He could still feel something sinester heading towards the forest.
The sudden reappeared of Catelyn shocked him a little.
"Thankyou." He smiled, taking a few sips. "Your kind. If I can repay you for this...please tell me."

She blinked suprised.
- What?
Catelyn laughted, but not at him - rather at what he'd said. She was a paladin, she didn't expect anything in return. Unselfish, naive... call it what ever you like. But this woman was good and true.
- I want nothing in return, Samuel.
She sat down beside him. Touched soft and friendly his shoulder with one hand. Catelyn smiled, could not feel what he was sensing. She was more concern over his health.
- How are you feeling?
Her voice were as soft as a caressing breeze. Catelyn's heart was prue - prehaps one of few left in this world, beliving in righteous deeds, not falling for corruption. No wonder she still sat at his side, she was alone.

"Are you sure?" He asked, looking up at her. It wasn't a bother for him. He'd been brought up to be gracious for things.
He wiped his forehead and glanced up at the sky. It wasn't even midday and already the heat was incredible.
"I'm fine. Thankyou, really." He replied, giving her a breif smile. His eyes drifted shut, with warm exhaustion.
Vidid images danced behind his eyes. Fire. Maddness. He sat up suddenly, his a crazed red. His pupil darted around, looking for some invisible creature. His breathing had sped up as if he'd just sprinted a great distance. He glanced down at Catelyn, worry flooding his face.

- Whats wrong?
The paladin was calm, or... tried to keep her calm. Of caurse she was worried about his new behavour. Catelyn rose to her feet.
- Are you all right, Samuel?
The air was vibrating of a unknown force. Streaming. The paladin blinked, tried to follow the strings, but the force was to powerfull, to strange and complicated. Catelyn shoke her head when she saw the strings tie one and another to Samuel. Was it a curse? She didn't understand - she was no highmage och warlock. The spells she knew was easy, any lowleved mage could use better spells then her. But she was a paladin, soldier of the divine Bel'tiai. She backed some steps from him, her hand slowly grasping the sword.
- What are you... seeing?

Samuel stood there, catching his breath. Burning sensations ran the scar on his face and neck. He closed his eyes and collapsed to his knees. He opened his eyes and glanced up at her.
"I'm...sorry." He muttered, shaking. He turned his head back down, staring at the floor. He ran one ran across his face, brushing along the scar.
"There was fire, screaming..." He replied, not daring to lift his head. "I'm sorry, so so sorry." He added in a whisper.

- Where? Samuel, you must tell me where..
She bends down besides him. If he could see danger before it had struck, they'd... she had a chance to stop it. Unsure about him. She grabs his chin and carefully turns his head to her. Talking to him with a composed and soft voice.
- Samuel. Look at me, it's fine. Calm down.
The woman was calm as ever, just like a cooling breeze. But she was concern. Her grip on his face looses and her hand falls down to her knee. Catelyn was looking him in the eyes. Trying to pull him back to reality.
- Did you see where it was burning? Maybe w... then I've a chance of helping them. You must tell me.

He sat frozen, staring at the ground. His attention jerked back reality as her hand clasped around his chin. He shook his head, opening his mouth to speak. He tried to force the words out, though failed. His arms and hands will still shaking with shock. He'd never experienced anything like it before.
"I....I don't know....there were houses.....and a market." He stammered, forcing words out without thinking about them making any sort of sense.
He closed his eyes and once she had let go of his chin, he let his head drop. He watched his hands shake, distraught.

- Please Samuel.
She begged him. Pleed to him. Catelyn takes his hands in her. Holding him in a firm grip. Caressing the back of his hands.
- Samuel. That can be any village in this world. You must reme...
She stoped talking. He was cursed. She saw it. Spreading in his blood. - The vision... Samuel.. you.. we... Come with me.
Her grip hardens and pulls him upp on his feet. Pulls him close to her. Her voice shivering of excitement. It was a race againt time now.
- You must come with me. You've to tell me were to go. We can't let them die.
She was a foolish woman. Had no idea that he might be deceiving her. All she could think of what if his vision would come true. All thoose lives. Better take this risk.

Samuel gasped, coming up for air. His eyes weren't red anymore, thet shone a dark blue. He looked at her, trying to remain calm. It confused him how calm she could be. He was scared out of his wits and she was as calm as ever.
He stayed quiet, his eyes widening with worry as she stopped mid sentence. He stumbled to his feet as she pulled him up, holding him. He forced himself to think back to what he saw.
He began to shake again. The screams were louder this time, closer. He searched the vision for any sort of clue as to where it could be. Every second me remained, watching the vision, he shook ever more violent.
"G...The town of....Grethom.."He muttered, skrewing his eyes tightly.
