The screaming floating woman didn't seem to be distracted by him. Quite the opposite, she seemed to want to kill Silvarn. Quite badly. He'd thought the fire arrow would surely kill her, but instead she ate it.
He burrowed under the snow, worming his way forewords, until he was underneath her. Then he jumped out of it, reaching up to seize her leg. Of course, she easily dodged him. He clenched his teeth in anger; being so unable to do anything was quite irritating.
For a moment, Adrian thought Silvarn was addressing one of them, but that turned out not to be the case as Silvarn tried to strike her down with lightning-Silver lightning-Then clamped her mouth shut, seemingly livid with anger. Adrian took a step back, waiting for anything he could do to help before returning to his position behind Kai and the other with the impressive firey bow, prepared to provide any backup he could.

Kai stumbled, rolling to the side as her ears rung faintly, stinging painfully.
Some times sharp hearing was a 'gift' she wished she didn't have. Eyes narrowing at the woman...she found that it'd be useless to use ice against her...or any other element for that matter. Fire was absorbed...ice was taken and thrust back just as the fae herself did.
...and something else seemed to be feeding it.
It made her wonder....she herself could feed off the cold if she needed....maybe she could feed off -her- through physical touch?
.....the thought was heinous, dangerous, and something if failed, would best serve as a grand distraction.
Distractions and wasting people's time where things the obstinant Faerie liked to think she was good at, something that was ultimately good if it gave silvarn more time to gather some....power and finish things.
But how to go about such? She couldn't simply shrink and fly up to the woman, she'd be most likely eaten, and not be very....imposing.
There was a quick glance to adrian as a something sparked in her devious little mind, but then she second guessed it. She din't wan't to attract too much attention to the wolf's ..
Her eyes then flicked to the clocked figure. noting how he stood, broad shouldered. and his probable weight from how deep he sunk into the snow.
Perfect.
"....Oi..." she padded over to the man, who was withholding a spell;-she could feel the tingle on her fingers when she poked his hard side.
"...Throw me at 'er." Her smile was devious, at best, as she rubbed one of her sound abused ears.
"Nice and hard." she hummed, poking at him again, though paused, seeing the woman start to inhale.
"Now and spare me the wind tunnel please!" she repeated again, the sugary sweet coating her voice melting away into an accented bite of sound.

A scowl appeared on Tals face as the woman seemed to 'eat' his attack. The power of the elements was not working? That was ridiculous! He could accept her being empowered by them, but still... an attack from the opposing element should still hurt her. Especially considering the attack he had used.
He grabbed his sword as he noticed what Adrian was trying to do, though he really doubted it would work on a banshee... well unless he enchanted it, but as she had already shown to be immune to his magic he really doubted that enchanting his sword with that very same magic would work.
Seeing Silvarns anger, Tal could only watch in awe. This mage was really powerful. Still, while it seemed like Silvarn could handle it from here, he was annoyed at his own uselessness. Noticing Adrian stepping behind him, he noticed the man felt the same as he did.
When Kai told him to throw her at the banshee he looked at her with disbelief before sighing. As he was about to grab her with his free arm, he realized he still had a spell at the ready and glanced over to the banshee and back to Kai, quickly calculating the necessary angle. Crouching down, he placed his left hand on the ground, and released his spell.
Normally, this particular spell, would create multiple spires that would rise from the ground to skewer the target. This time, he slightly changed it on the fly. Instead of multiple spires, it was a single one that was much wider then usual and the top was flat, like a platform. The speed with which it rose from the ground was still very fast, and thus when it stopped, Kai was launched towards the banshee with a speed much greater then when he had thrown her.
"That hard enough for you?" He mused softly.

Silvarn watched as the spire ripped itself from the ground, launching Kai straight into the vulnerable banshee. Silvarn held her firmly until Kai struck her, then let the kinetic energy transfer over. Then, using his other hand, plucked Kai off the banshee and roared as he swung the banshee remotely over his head, bringing her crashing down onto one of his flaming trees. Kai landed safely on the ground at the same time the banshee found the top half of an evergreen lancing through her. She screamed a terrible shriek, a deathcry that echoed for several minutes after the banshee exploded into a torrent of ice shards. Silvarn apathetically shielded them all with Twilight.
"Now, then." he growled as the last of the shards fluttered down to the ground as flakes. "While that was certainly an unexpected tactic, I distinctly recall telling you, blue, to leave your gods out of this. Also, who the hell are you?" Silvarn asked the man hunched over like a... "Oh."
He sighed and massaged his forehead. "I believe you all expect me to thank you for saving me from my cryonic prison? I had the situation perfectly covered. Had I been given another moment or two, I would have freed myself on my own."
Admit it, Grey-Eyes, you needed someone to break you out. Scorcahr whined.
"Be quiet," he growled. He glared at each one individually, closed his ancient grey eyes, then sighed heavily. "Fine. Thank you all for assisting me in taking down that banshee. Now, then, it is frigid out here. Where is this save haven you discovered?"
I do not think I have ever seen someone so upset about getting beaten up by a girl. Scorcahr cackled.

Adrian watched in horror, then relief, as Kai was launched as the screaming she-demon and it killed by being thrown into a flaming tree. He sighed, letting out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding, and relaxed, if only slightly. At least the hellish blizzard was gone, and he was at full strength again. Well, full human strength.
"A safe haven would be nice. Though, Silvarn, if you'd like I can go find the supplies you got from the town. I can track them down easily enough," He offered. His senses were still almost those of a wolf. Now that he was used to human's speech again, his voice was light, almost playful, just as the wolf's barking had been, but almost growly at the same time. it was apparent that that the supplies would have had to be dropped during the onslaught of the snowstorm, and they would be particularly helpful, especally now that there was another person in their party.
He watched for silvarn's reaction. Kai hadn't blown up on his when she'd learned he was human; at least, not yet she hadn't. So far, Silvarn hadn't either, but then again, he'd been somewhat caught up in the battle with the...whatever it was. He was ready for any furious remarks, insults, complaints, attacks. It was almost expected. He'd gladly explain himself, but first, fire and food would be nice.
Then, remembering the newcomer, he turned to face him. He nodded and stuck out a hand, studying whoever it was.
"I'm Adrian, by the way," He said, for Kai and Silvarn's benifit as well as this new person. After all, he was still referred to as Mr. Wolf.

Air shifted through her hair as she was launched into the air, her cloak had fluttered off snagging onto a nearby branch. Kai closed her eyes and smiled, shifting her position and tilting her her to the side, making sure that her shoulder would make contact with the other blue haired female.
Impact came with that expected thud, and she let herself go relaxed, almost limp as she felt a hand ghost her;s briefly before sending her to the ground. She landed nimbly in the soft snow, only opening her eyes, to grin at the other three mails as ice shards fell to the ground from the banshee's demise.
She knew she was beaming, but couldn't help it, and actually burst into a set of giggles when Silvarn tried to play it off cooly, before thanking them.
People were just too amusing sometimes!
Her ears perked a little though at silvarn's suggestion, which effectively diverted most of the attention off him in favor of a safe haven.
"Oh-right! You did mention one didn't you...I'd be glad to spend the night out in the open....but we have been...attracting alot of attention lately.....if you don't mind sir." she tapped her bottom lip, long pointed ears flicking back as she stepped a little closer to Talwyn.
"That and I'm very curious.....about the odd....air about you...lots of mixed signals."
She chirped,...and Adrian's offer reached her ears.
"Ah-Mr Wo-" She stopped, actually taking a moment to actually look bashful. "Adrian. I mean. Are you sure you don't mind going on you're own...? I mean-"
She stopped, eyes darting between the three males. Damn. She was starting to feel rather...tiny in comparison. Making a face, she puffed out her chest, crossing her arms.
"If you show me where it is and I'll make it so no one will find it as we eat...and talk." She rubbed her nose.
Compensating? Who's compensating? Really. Even her mind was rolling it's eyes at that thought.

Unfazed by Silvarns railing at him, Tal replied sarcastically with his arms crossed in front of his chest. "First of all, the name is Talwyn, not 'Blue". Second of all, they are not gods, nor did I direct any of the power at the banshee. And lastly, you did not have another moment, let alone two. So unless your plan was to freeze to death, in which case I apologize for hindering such a great idea, your claim of having the situation covered is pretty incorrect. As for the safe haven, it is a small copse near here. I had already found some firewood which I left there, should be enough to start a fire though I doubt it will the night."
As Adrian stuck out his hand, Talwyn did the same. "I'm Talwyn, Talwyn Greyoak." Turning to Kai, he continued with a sigh. Talking about what had happened to him wasn't his favorite topic. Still, he had questions for her as well. "I will try to answer your questions if you are willing to answer mine. But for now, lets head back to the copse we were at earlier and get a fire going before deciding on what to do next because I'm freezing out here."
He hurried back to the copse, and started to neatly pile the firewood the second he arrived. Once done, he quickly lit it by chanting a short incantation, and dropping the small flame that ignited in his hand onto the wood. It was obvious he didn't enjoy the cold as he was almost hugging the flames.
"Now then, about those supplies you mentioned earlier. Where are they and who should we send?"

For once, it was Scorcahr keeping his host from following through on his dark designs.
Simmer down, Grey-Eyes! He is not worth it! Granted he is arrogant, brash, and pretentious, but then, are not we all?
Silvarn snarled in response, both at the blue and at the demon.
His blood still boiling from the battle and burning from the blue's outburst, he began hunting through the snow, searching for something, anything -- anything to keep his mind distracted and occupied. He hoped to find some arcane link between the banshee and the source of her power: the Shrine. Unfortunately, he had destroyed most of the shards the banshee released when she perished, and those that had survived were rapidly diffusing into the snow. He hurried, picking up one and biting his lip against the cold that gnawed through his flesh. His ancient grey eyes flicked across the surface, but the twisting contours and angular reflections made them cross a little.
"Nothing." he grumbled, snapping it in two.
By this time, the others had left, realizing reason had departed from him for a moment. He was thankful for the solitude, it gave him a moment to cool off.
He sighed deeply, rubbing at his itching eyes.
I could have a bear maul the blue one. Scorcahr suggested with wicked glee.
"No, no. I would rather not have his opinion of me be further lowered."
And since when have you cared about the opinions of others?
"Good point. Even so, Kai has taken a liking to him, so I have to treat him nicely to keep her happy enough to lead me through the Fae land and to the Shrine." He opened his eyes again, focusing them on the shards of ice at his feet, arranged in a perfect circle.
Then he looked up at the trees, arranged in a perfect circle.
For the next fifteen minutes, the Twilight devoured snow and ice, revealing brown grass buried under heavy snow. Finally, he felt feedback through the Twilight. Something did not like being touched by magic. He careful cleared around it, then brushed the remaining snow off of the hemispherical stone. If this motif continued -- he looked up to the heavens, spying a ring of stars near the horizon on the left, while Luna glowered down at him from a treetop.
"Alignment. Who knows how long it will take until then, or even how long it will last?" he mused while rubbing at his chin and lips, frowning in concentration, "Frankly, I am more interested in this than the Shrine, now, because this is here and who knows where in Blue Blazes that Shrine is; if, indeed, it even exists. Or, maybe, this place will serve as a guide to the Shrine, and possibly unlock some of its secrets before we ever arrive. Who knows? The excitement is nearly unbearable." he exclaimed in near-monotone.

"Talwyn, They are somewhere on the side of the mountain. I can go get them, He replied. "Kai, it's fine, I don't mind going it alone. I won't be long." He glanced at Silvarn, who seemed to be on the verge of a meltdown. With a quick pointy-toothed grin, he was gone in the trees.
Tearing through the snow at a ridiculously fast pace, he followed Silvarn's scent, his essence, his trail-which was lost to the storm in almost all places, but there were a few faint signs. At one point he stopped, looking around. There were wolves nearby. He wished he could talk to them, ask about the area and the shrieking demon-woman, but necessities were first. He could return later.
He continued, and it was only a few moments before he found the bag. He unburied it form it's covering of snow and tossed it it over his shoulder, nodding in approval when he realized it was fairly hefty. From there, he made a beeline back towards camp.
He walked back instead of running, seeing as it was uphill and he had a pack to carry. He wondered if he should have had Kai come with-after all, as a human he was pretty useless-but so far, nothing had happened. The sudden blizzard had driven off all of the wildlife. Still, he figured that a walking pace was too slow, so he again took off running as smoothly as possible so the stuff in the bag wouldn't be jarred. Almost the whole way, he thought of the demon-woman, and why she seemed to target Silvarn.
Once he reached the camp, he slowed to a walk again and entered opposite the way they'd all left to find Silvarn. "I'm back," He said lightly, his quiet voice carrying to them in the still air. He walked a few steps in and set the pack on the center of the area, before retreating a few steps and sitting cross-legged, somewhat unsure, and kept his eyes down. "Has Silvarn returned at all?" He asked.

Nodding lightly to the wolf, she was soon enough left alone with Talwyn, Kai give a wry smile, moving to sit by the fire, without getting too close. It seemed she preferred it for light rather then warmth.
"Sorry about Silvarn...if he wants what we're going to get...he should be hospitable enough after a bit of time." She snorted to herself. She held no presumptions from their first meeting, that the man had nothing else on his mind at the moment as far as she and the wolf was concerned but getting to the shrine.
...but when they got there, she wasn't sure if he'd be happy with what they would find. She had a bad feeling when ever she herself neared the place last as a girl, a foreboding sense, like as if a spirit had been reaching out and pulling at her body.
".....I don't know why he wants to go there though...it's full of corrupt magic.....meant to hold something in and keep everything else." she frowned. "Not a place to tread at all...if that banshee was any indication..." she mused lightly.
An awkward silence reigned as she gathered herself, trying to find the correct way to ask what she wanted as she absentmindedly twirled a lock of blue hair with a finger. So she waited a bit.
The wolf should take a while...right?
Looking up at Talwyn finally she spoke.
"I'm sorry if this is a bit rude and forwardto ask...but I'm curious. Who turned you to what you are, from..." She paused eyeing the covered figure that left little to go by. "..what ever you are...I highly doubt the aura you give off is natural....like a demon, like a human...yet-"
Adrian's voice cut through, and shaking her head a bit, she stood up with a half smile and waved to the man.
"That was quick! ....and no I haven't seen him since he went off to sulk and brood." She blinked. Was he really that fast...? Or had she zoned out when she had stopped her musings the first time?
....maybe being so near home and the shrine was messing with her? She thought silently, a frown touching her lips.

Tal remained silent at Kai's descriptions of what Silvarn was after, but he shook his head when she apologized for him. "That's alright... looking the way I do I am used to hostile reactions. Besides... while he railed at me for no reason, I probably shouldn't have been so sarcastic about it." Looking at Kai, Tal realized she was gathering up the courage to ask about just what he was. He sort of hoped she couldn't muster enough courage, and thus an awkward silence arose. When she finally did ask, he sighed. He should have known she would ask... they all did. He turned when Adrian called for them and raised his hand in greeting. When the man sat down and asked about Silvarn, Tal merely shook his head. Turning to face Kai, he finally answered her question. "Even if it is rude, I can't blame you. Everyone that finds out wishes to know. You're instincts are very accurate though. Both when we first met and you thought I was a mere golem, and just know when you said my aura was like both a demon and a humans. Because that is precisely what I am. The one who did this calls me a chimera, named after the legendary beast that has a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail. For I to, am a combination of three different creatures. In my case, a human, a varlg demon and finally a rock golem." ((OOC: not entirely happy with it, but at least we can keep the thread moving ))

You can wait all you want, Grey-Eyes, it is not going to happen tonight. Scorcahr whined.
"Still, I very well cannot return to those buffoons and inform the quest is over, based on a hunch. Which reminds me -- the pixie never named her price, as I recall."
Then again, we both know what a terrible memory you have. the demon snickered.
"Regardless, there is a reason I wound up here." he mused as he rubbed at his chin.
Oh, not again with the auspicious conspiracy theory again. Scorcahr moaned.
Silvarn ignored him, staring intensely up at the stars as they mocked him, intentionally withholding their secrets from his piercing gaze. There had to be some way to expedite this waiting.
Wish all you want, Grey-Eyes, but even your power cannot make the stars dance faster. Scorcahr sneered.
"Any idea when the ring of stars will align?"
I would give it about a week, give or take a day.
"Perhaps, then, we could still make our trek to the Shrine?"
Assuming the imp remains compliant.
Silvarn smiled wickedly to himself as he left the grove. He was on the verge of discovering a potent secret -- he could feel it.

Adrian sat just outside of the fire's ring of light. He was silent as he listened to Talwyn's explanation of what he was-human, demon, golem- with interest. The only people he'd ever met until recently were humans. Now, he was with a whole band of people who weren't entirely human. In all truth, it pleased him.
Slowly, the animal sounds began to penetrate the forest once again, now that the deathly blizzard was gone. He heard birds, big cats, the skitters of the small mammals that hung about the trees above them. He even heard the wolves howl, telling one another that it was safe.
After a while, Silvarn still hadn't returned, but he didn't go looking for him. If anything was wrong, the animals wouldn't have come back.
"Talwyn," He said finally, softly. "What brings you to the cold of the Ridge? You don't seem to like the cold much."

"...I see..." The woman mumbled, feeling uneasy...no. Unsettled was more like it.
"Things as such are difficult to reverse without a significant power source...." She mused, before her ears perked a bit when the wolf spoke.
"The trek to get here is quite a trip too....are you after the shrine as well?"
she mumbled lightly...taking a guess as she looked away.
Absently she toyed with a few strands of blue hair with a finger, mouth forming a grim line as that old...familiar tingle swept through her body.
It felt almost like before..... coaxing, pulling, With a false cruel gentleness.
Come to me...let me out and I'll give you what you desire.... It seemed to say,
but she shook it off, bitting her lip hard.
I could bring back your brother,,,you just have to get rid o-
She bit her lip harder, sighing when she tasted blood.
"....anyone have water please?" she asked lightly, pushing the inquiring pull away. Yes...fair folk were immune to almost all mental prodding. However...they were also highly intune with nature, and when ever someone was immersed in such magic...and not intruding by force...
Yelling at a person and invading personal space only causes them to get angry and push them out, ignoring them completely
Whisper and a person listens harder. Approach slowly from a distance and the subject starts to get curious.
She refused to become undone, and would distract herself by whatever means possible.

As Adrian noticed he didn't like the cold to much, Tal laughed . "Indeed I don't. As your companion just noted, one needs a considerable source of power to undo what has been done to me. And even then it is still a question of, is that power able to undo it? I once found an item that had enough power, yet it did not have the ability to change me back. So I came here following a rumor I heard about a great power resting here."
He remained silent for a bit thinking about how to proceed. Could he ask the fae about the shrine? The way she spoke of it he got the impression she hoped he wasn't looking for it. Still... that shrine was the only lead he had at the moment. He had to check it.
"... anyone have water please?" The fae asked suddenly. Handing her his canteen, he decided to just ask. "You asked if I was after the shrine... Am I correct in assuming this means you know where it is? If you do, are you willing to aid me in getting there? I have been searching for the better part of a week by now. If you don't wish to help me get there... could you tell me all you know about it?"
