While I wait for Lujayne to get approved, I doodled her up, liked the sketch, and made it a "real" picture.

I now want to stab myself. NEVER AGAIN will I do Lujayne in this way @_@ She looked better in the sketch (baaaw). I might post that up later.

Now I believe I shall go to bed, since it's going on to 3:30 AM, my eyes have been raped and butchered by the bright, near-white colours, and I'm tired.

I like the first picture better personally because the color adds to her innocence in my mind.

Oh, I hated the coloured picture there because of how much work it takes to do it that way XD I prefer proper ("black") linearting with simple colours with cell-shading, for the most part, although I do soft shading a lot, as well

Ha, well she is in the form of a girl, isn't she? I still like the sketch better since she looks creepier, which was the intent. Oh, well XP

It's hard to make a child look disturbing when it's female unless you incorporate something potentially messy. Here, you have too little to really make anything disturbing with. Maybe a scar of some sort?

But then again, I'm a worse artist than you, so you can ignore what I say outright and do something else.

Oh, you have no idea how disturbing you can make a child look I've done it before, and if you take a look at the sketch, she's pretty creepy there, neh? ;P It all depends on how you draw the eyes, on the most part. Haha XD

True, the ones in the redone one are a bit snuffed out by everything else being so dang light.

The colouring was tricky. Maybe a slightly redder skin?
Also, those eyelashes on the side are HUGE.

...though I seriously should shut up right about now.

I'm fairly certain I should be blind right about now, after spending over 2 hours staring at all that bloody white xD Hmmm, redder skin, might work.
I loooooove huge eyelashes ;w; They're so much fun to work with XD;; -fail-

Also, you threw me completely off-guard in the first one...having Kaes in chibi-form is probably not going to allow me to take him seriously anymore

It's probably because it's the only one that shows her properly and not tarting around, haha.

And you're not supposed to take him seriously! He honestly is a very silly devil. He doesn't do anything to cause harm to people- he just does things on a whim. Hence Krae's more-or-less lack of respect towards him. Not that he can't be deadly, he just usually isn't. Think of him like an eccentric uncle.
