((OOC: Yurp, sorry guys, hectic week. =\))
Perrin was startled (though his expression was small) when someone responded to the other man's demand and he watched somewhat amusedly as the girl appeared from the trees above. What he didn't see was that Rock was apparently quite unsurprised and looked at the girl in such a way as to figure out who exactly it had been up there in the first place...
His feeling of amusement quickly changed into being taken aback as the girl settled down against the tree. They were out in the wilderness and no one place was really his home. Accordingly, he didn't feel like his acquaintance had been intruding upon some private home when he brought the man to the clearing, but this girl landing straight into it made to be a bit less of a welcome guest.
He was still wondering what to make of the situation when the other man seemed to have met that end more quickly than himself. But then he reclaimed the silent look of amused shock when he was referred to as "the old man" and he studied the man opposite him for a moment as though to figure his seriousness. He hadn't had enough social contact to know whether most people looked at him and saw an old man, but perhaps the walking stick that he didn't put any weight on, or the few early grey hairs on his head were enough to distract from the fact that he didn't have wrinkles.
After his moment of curious gazing, his attention caught on enough to catch the last of the man's talking and he looked back at the girl. He wasn't sure whether there was anything he wished to say to the girl or not, if she would just disappear he would've been perfectly content, but now he was interested to know how she would finish the sentence.
