Len's head turned to Saira, since he had looked away while his thinking, and the sudden motion spilt some tea - thankfully, he barely missed himself. "Not that I can remember... ...but from what I've seen, it's a really quiet, peaceful lifestyle, with rather little to do... ...I prefer the wild; always excitement to be had, if you're able to walk on your own two feet." He looked to his own foot, and rolled his eyes, an attempt at comedy just... ...there.

"quiet and peaceful," She repeated, bulling this over a bit in her hear. "It seems nice. But what would you do for fun? Go milk cows? You would be so tied down to one place, you couldn't go off and see the world." that was a big thing for her.. Maybe some day settle down, but she couldn't see it happening. It just seemed so boring compared to the life she lived now. Much less dangerous, most likely, but she figured eventually you would just run out of things to do.

Len blinked. He thought aloud. "I hadn't even considered that, Saira, and you're perfectly correct on that; there's so much to see, still..." His thoughts began going downhill. So much to see... ...and I might not even live to see a good portion of it... He shook his head a little. No. I will make it through the lair of Dragons, and I will talk peace with them. I will see the world, and above all, I will keep by Saira's side! He took a sip of tea, feeling energized again.

Saira noticed the change if emotion in Len.
"Is something wrong?" She asked, concerned. He said it like it was.... She realized with a click. He was worrying about the upcoming trip. There was a lot left to see... But what if he didn't live to see it? But of course he would, and she told him as much. "You'll be fine," She said, unaware that he had in fact already decided he was indeed going to be fine. "And once it's all over we can go see as much of the world as we want." She gave him a reassuring grin.

Len nodded. "You'd better hold me to that, Saira..." He turned his head to Sarora. "...Sarora, you'd better stay around, too. You might be a little irksome now and again, but overall, you're wonderful as well." He turned back to Saira, a gentle smile on his face. "Saira... ...I don't even need to describe you. Miracles caused our meeting, and magic has lead our journeys, and to think of the future holding wonders for us... ...Saira, I'd almost be confident in saying that the world would agree to us being together. I've no living enemies, and I'm not sure about you, aside from the Ice Dragons, so..." He left the question hanging for Saira to resume.

Saira blushed a faint tinge of red. "Other than Ice Dragons, no," She said. As if ice dragons were just a small annoyance. "But I agree. Of all the people one can meet in the world, I don't think it was a coincidence that it was us two. I would venture to say that we could probably stay the rest of our lives together." She did believe Len would be fine in the upcoming visit to the ice dragon's lair. Just the thought of them scared her, but he would be fine.

Len didn't need to say anything more, and allowed the silence to speak a few volumes, as he scooted over to Saira's side, and leaned against her. His tea was basically drained anyways, but he was still holding it. He tried to make sure his gesture wasn't too sudden, in case Saira hadn't finished her own tea. He sighed of comfort, when he leaned, liking the simple contact. It wasn't a very grand gesture, but it was still comforting. He noted the position of the sun, on its way down now, but not too close to the horizon.
(( I was trying too hard, all the previous times... ))

Saira put her own cup down, having also drank her tea. It warmed her from the chill in the air, especially now that it was beginning to get dark out. The sun's warmth was failing to offer much relief from the evening air. She leaned her own head on Len, sighing in comfort. It was a nice evening. Very calm. A wanted break that she fully intended to enjoy and not think about what was to come. That could be dealt with another day, and she shoved it all to the corner of her mind and ignored it. Sarora seemed content too, curling up like a dog with her til draped over her face. She sighed again, closing her eyes briefly. "I'm glad you're here," She told him. She couldn't think of one place she would rather be.

It didn't take long for Len's head to lean atop Saira's head. She had basically said what he wanted to say, but felt too awkward to say at that moment. He smiled, and turned his head to kiss Saira on the crown of her head. "Saira, I know the feeling... ...I'm very glad you're here. This relaxation? Nowhere but beside you is it possible..." He had forgotten his worries for that moment. He absently began doodling on the ground, a small layer of sand over the dirt. When he looked, he merely made two more marks on the ground, and he made a "♥" mark overall. He wrote Saira's name above the heart, and his actual name - Allen - below it. Nobody would recognize the real name there, and the marks would eventually fade anyways.
(( Doesn't look like Saira would recognize it, but... ...there it is, his real name. ))

Saira glanced down idly at what Len was drawing, starting to grow a bit drowsy. The chill breeze had stopped, leaving the air a bit warmer, and very still. The marks he made stayed in the sand, without a wind to scatter them away.
"Allen?" She asked at the name below the heart, a hint of puzzlement in her voice. Sarora peeked at her from behind her tail, an expression in her eyes she couldn't place. She hesitated a moment, putting pieces together in her mind. "Is that your name?" She glanced at him, curiosity written in her face. The name Len was in the name Allen... So, it seemed feasible enough.

Len nodded. "Yes... ...that is indeed my name. I just... ...don't want anyone else to know of it, alright?" He asked seriously, only stumbling because of his own discomfort. As much as he trusted Saira and Sarora, his name was still a difficult thing to manage to entrust others with. Given their location, it was a better time now than later. There was nobody else around, to his knowledge, so it was all the better. "There's... ...history attached."
A convenient fact; some might call it an excuse, but he was honest.

She nodded, and saw his discomfort. She offered a warm smile. "I won't tell anyone," She assured him. "I'm sure if it was available for public knowledge, you wouldn't be going by a different name." Sarora rumbled an agreement. She settled back against him, and in the sand where he had written it, gently swiped away the "Al" portion of his name. "It can remain our secret, forever." She said. To be entirely honest, it pleased her immensely that he would offer her such information about himself. She accepted the explanation easily - If he didn't want to explain why, she wasn't about to ask. There was mild curiosity, but her respect for his privacy was much greater.

Len smiled. "Good, I'd rather not go on about... ...background that may unsettle Sarora..." To put it short... ...two people - one with the name "Allen" and another one just "Al" - didn't have any sense of hospitality... "I'd rather not run and jump like a flea with only one foot available..." His glance happened by the still-roasting, but pretty much well-done rat strips. "...I think the food's done." He shrugged. "I'd get it ready if I were able, but eh... ...won't complain for now."

Unsettling or not, history isn't something to get upset over Sarora rumbled. Saira smirked, knowing that was somewhat hypocritical of her, but said nothing. Of course, I am not saying you need to say anything you don't want to. Just letting you know that you don't need to fear upsetting me.
Saira got up to go fetch the food. They were very cooked, but still edible, and didn't taste too bad either. She handed some of it to Len, wishing that their whole life could be like this - lounging in the comfortable weather, cooking what they caught. It was a nice break, and she put all thoughts of what was to come in the back of her mind.
