Rendylwin had spent a few days traveling around Lonea Lake. He came across a small village that seemed modest and fair. Rendylwin stared and thought, then decided to enter. He found a pleasant restaurant named 'Feel Like a .' Rendylwin found himself a bit tired and definitely . Lately he had been taking a few small jobs here and there as a private mercenary to earn money. He used a small spell to make his ears appear round other than pointed to those who lacked skill with magic. Rendylwin sat at a table by himself until a waitress came along. She was middle-aged with short brown hair. He exchanged a few words with her and she disappeared in the back. Rendylwin grumpiliy waited with his head resting on his fist. After some time, the waitress finally came out with a deliciously seasoned fish with a side dish of salad. She came to his table and apologized for the wait and she handed him the dish. Rendylwin nodded and excused the wait. The restaurant was full of people of course, so he naturally had no reason to be angered. He started eating the fish. It tasted like heaven compared to what he had to live on for the last week. Rendylwin was grateful for the meal. However, this meal could not bring a real smile to his lips. Rendylwin looked to the left, thinking on his plans for this week. Of course he wasn't living this kind of life without a reason, but he figured he could always use some extra coins before continuing his search. Rendylwin had been able to chat with some good people the last few weeks, but none of them really mattered. He felt loneliness tearing slowly at him, but he knew the best he could do was ignore it. Rendylwin's eyes searched the room for any interesting matters going on. Boredom tore at him as well.

Barthis watched with an amused expression from his bookshelf perch as an elf entered the restaurant he had drifted into in order to people watch. The elf shifted it's ears to rounded tips to all but those with magical abilities. Barthis snickered lightly, he could see. He shifted his wings and began petting the mouse witting next to him. It was roughly the size of a small dog in comparison to him, but in reality, it was a completely normal sized mouse. It squeaked lightly and Barthis shushed it as the elf took a seat at a nearby empty table. A waitress brought the elf food. Curious, the Fairie placed the mouse upon his head and quickly flitted down, and alighted very near to the edge of the table, but well within the elf's field of view.
"Hello," Barthis greeted, "I am Barthis, Prince of Fairies. Not Fairy with a 'y'. Fairie with an 'ie'. A Pixie-Fairie. I have to make that clear, lest you confuse me with a more...insignifigant species, since we all look quite similar. Oh, I'm rambling aren't I? My apologies. However, amend my curiosity. What might an elf be doing here?"

(( I love your character and the drawing you made of him xD)) Rendylwin continued taking slow bites until he found a fairie joining him at his table. Hmm. Looks like I have some company today... Rendylwin listened to Barthis's introduction speech. He smirked at the fairie's need to explain that he was both pixie and fairy. Rendylwin wondered what the mouse was for. "Pleased to meet you, Barthis. I am Rendylwin. Funny we meet in place like this, full of common folk." Rendylwin started. In fact, it was even more unlikely to meet a fairie here, especially one who'd dare declare himself a prince. Rendylwin noticed some people were staring. He probably looked insane and like he was talking to himself. "Anyway, truth be told, I've been searching for a place...or a person...I took a break from my search however so I could earn money, in case I run into troubles or don't feel like eating what nature offers." Rendylwin continued casually. Whether or not he looked crazy, it was nice talking to someone again. "And may I ask what you might be doing here? Especially announcing yourself as a prince? No offense of course, it just doesn't fit together without a good explanation." Rendylwin curiously looked to the little guy. Unlike some humans, he was unimpressed and did not feel lucky, being accustomed to dealing with magic. Though, he did find this situation interesting. Rendylwin wondered if Barthis made an effort to conceal his identity to humans as well.

The tiny fairie listened to Rendylwin's introduction with his continuous grin. He couldn't help but snicker lightly as the elf noticed people staring, he was currently invisible to any eye that wasn't magically enhanced. It made him wonder if it looked like his furry friend was floating and decided that it would be best to set the little beast down beside him.
Barthis momentarily frowned as the elf finished his introduction, "Well, truth-be-told, I suppose I shouldn't be announcing myself as a Prince. Call it a habit, that is how I was raised to introduce myself." He sighed, "Actually I was banished for a crime I didn't commit, so now I'm wandering about with my only loyal friend." He gestured toward the mouse. Barthis shook his head and regained his previous disposition. "Come to think of it though, I suppose there are a few fairies who believe me. Not likely though. It amazes me that my won mother and father would think me capable of such an act..." The fairie trailed off and became momentarily lost in thought, a very focused expression on his face. The mouse squeaked.

Rendylwin watched as Barthis set the mouse down, he chuckled slightly. Noticing this, Rendylwin figured Barthis couldn't be seen just by anyone either. Rendylwin looked to his side dish of cheese and crackers. He slid a piece of cheese to the squeeky mouse, wondering if it was . "Hmm. That's quite the situation you're wrapped in." Rendylwin thought about the Fairie's tight situation. "Is there any way to prove your innocence in this matter? And I don't know if you're , but I don't mind ordering a small meal for you or sharing some of my dish." Rendylwin looked at his fish and took another bite. Ironic that I should find a real prince in this restaraunt...Feel Like a .Rendylwin took a sip of his drink and looked around again. Some people gave up staring and tried to ignore Rendylwin. Rendylwin smirked. If they knew what was going on, things would really take a turn. Rendylwin felt a bit sorry for the little fairie. He had to of seperated from loved ones and a whole kingdom. Rendylwin thought how strangely similar it sounded to the affairs of kingdoms of other living beings. Rendylwin looked at the tame mouse again. "That your pet?" Rendylwin asked. He heard of some small beings counting small animals as friends. He even heard rumors that a few could communicate with them.

Skeekers instantly and happily began devouring the cheese as Barthis listened intently to what the elf was saying. "Well, only if I could find the sacred egg could I prove it...However, seeing as it has incredible magical abilities it can't seem to be tracked or found, by magical means at least. The resicdents of the forest hadn't seen what happened to it either when I asked them. And um, thank you, but I'm not entirely right now." The fairie slid his gave to the mouse and then back to the elf to answer his question, "He's not so much a pet as my only loyal friend. Though, I suppose you could call him that." The little beast squeaked through it's cheese and Barthis' gaze jumped to it as he grinned and muttered something under his breath to the rodent.

"Ah. I see. I'm sorry I haven't heard of this egg either." Rendylwin responded. He expected as much, he was never interested in too many objects or artifacts during his studies. Rendylwin didn't know too much about fairies either. Sometimes he wondered if he should have tried to be a better student.
"So," Rendylwin tried to make sure he didn't sound offensive. "Have you had any problems protecting yourself? I don't know much about fairies, sorry."

"Hmm." Barthis sounded thoughtful for a moment, then looked up at the elf, "Occasionally, depending on the situtation. As all fairies, I can shift to a... more human size, however my bones still remain hollow and incredibly fragile. If an ogre or something similar were to attack me, I'm not entirely sure whether I would survive such. That is why I tend to stay near or in human villages and towns." The fairie smiled, "Not that it matters, you're probubly busy, aren't you?"

"Mmm," Rendylwin nodded with understanding. Rendywlin chuckled and grinned. "An elf has much for time than what humans would call a lifetime," He muttered, leaning a bit forward so only Barthis could hear. Rendylwin sat back into his seat. He cut through more of his fish and cleaned up the rest of his plate. He looked around for the waitress, but it was too crowded and he doubted the wait would be short before she came to offer him a dessert.
"Yup. Haven't really been actually busy since my schooling. I am looking for someone, but I haven't the slightest idea where to head." Rendylwin tipped his empty glass back and forth and thought for a minute. His eyes returned to Barthis. "Do you have a reason why you ask so?" He asked boredly.
