" Why won't it just go away...please...let me go..."
The words echoed from her mind through out the cave with no response back. But she wasn't alone. Oh no. The spiders that dominated the area un-naturally flocked to Hannah. Something she normally love seeing how it meant she would never be alone.
Till now however. Spider had come to this cave to be alone to fall into the darkness. To forget...about the loss. And the endless pain that came with it. Seeing how suicide was darn near impossible for her to preform. An endless...mindless sleep would be the next best thing.
"Please..."
However the spiders to whom she loved so dearly wouldn't let her go. Every day and night they encased her curled up form with their own bodies and forced her to feed. By biting into all the right spots along her veins. Injecting a unique fluid that all spiders produced within her presents. But regardless of how they did it thought it kept her mind right on the edge of the pit of darkness.
" I just want the pain to go away."
No matter how many times she begged them to stop they never replied back. That was odd as well. Till today. Spider could feel them for hours now coming in small packs biting into her. " Have I not lived through enough pain." by now Hannah could almost see her surroundings area with in her third eye. They had feed her enough at this point as to where they were pulling her back from the darkness.
" We can not Lady of the Spiders. He will come soon."
Spider could almost put a voice to the gasp that filled her lungs. " No! Stop him! I can not face that man. Just let me go with what peace I have left." Once again silence was the response. Perhaps it was all in her mind. It wouldn't be the first time false hopes had tugged at her heart. This however held such a strong reality to it though. So much it ripped fear all the way to her core.
Spider couldn't face Chaz again. Just the thought of looking him in the face an explaining that she couldn't keep their own baby save was too much. The simple idea of it drew thick tears to the rim of her eye lashes. She couldn't protect their baby. What kind of mother was that. It was why she had cut off her mental connection from him a while ago. And now this information was brought forth.
"He can look all he wants. I have place my walls up. The is no way he can find me. And even if he does...he won't like what he finds. "

At the base of one of the centuries old trees that call the heart of Selkia Forest their domain, a bunch of lonely orchids was growing. Phalaenopsis Fervens, famous for its bright red color patterns and its supposed ability to help cure dragonfire burns. A greatly valued commodity on any market due to its rareness, since very few herbalists dare trek so deep into the heart of the forest to gather it, and hiring adventurers to do so comes at a costly prize. One of the flowers suddenly rocked and bent, ever so slightly, as a bright blue butterfly made a landing on top of one of the many beautifully colored petals. It gave a slight flap of its wings as it stuck its tongue inside the orchid and began guzzling down the delicious nectar within, seemingly enjoying it.
Gulping down drop after drop, the little creature, in its blissful feeding frenzy, did not notice the peculiar black shadows creeping up along the peduncle of the flower, covering it in a strange darkness. As they neared the petals at the top of the flower, several shadowy threads suddenly let loose of the peduncle’s surface and, like thin tentacles, slithered further upwards through the air. The tentacles continued to surround the petal in a circular motion, as if surrounding their prey, all the while not making a single sound, covering the area in an eerie silence. Suddenly, just as the butterfly noticed something was amiss and lifted its wings up a bit to flutter off, the tentacles struck and seemingly pierced the small creature like sharp needles. The tiny thing wildly flapped its wings for a while before suddenly coming to a halt, remaining completely motionless. The tentacles let loose and the tiny lifeless body fell to the ground, once again covering the area in silence.
Pruvan circled the area around the tiny corpse for a while before rising up from the ground and looking down upon the once so vivid little creature. The butterfly had turned a pale grey and its beautiful wings were now withered and curled up like burnt paper. Pruvan blinked his glowing green eyes and stared intently at his poor victim. It tasted so happy… So carefree... Pruvan’s vision slightly blurred and became covered in a green, grayish hue as he watched the butterfly slowly being dismembered and carried off to a nearby anthill by several ants. As his vision reverted back to normal, he slowly ran a streak of shadow across the poor little thing’s body, as if caressing it with a hand. It waited so long… So patiently… For such a short period of meaningless bliss… His vision blurred again as he watched the butterfly slowly emerge from its cocoon, cleanse itself and flap its beautiful wings for the first time.
Pruvan felt sort of bad for killing the butterfly. Tasting its lifeforce had proven fatal, as it often does for small creatures like bugs. But when he saw the butterfly sitting there Pruvan became curious to know how it felt; just frolicking about, feeding off the many different kinds of flowers that inhabit this forest without a care in the world... Although he knew sucking the butterfly’s lifeforce was probably going to kill the little thing, somehow he had felt inclined to do so anyway. Pruvan blinked his glowing green eyes again and tilted them slightly, as if tilting a nonexistent head, staring at the tiny corpse in silence for a while.
… Maybe I envied you…
Pruvan leapt back towards the ground and slithered across the grassy floor like a snake’s shadow, away from the dead butterfly and further into the forest. Though he normally floats through the air like a small cloud of shadows, he’s found this way to be much, much faster when crossing long distances. The long, stretched out shadow seemingly flew across the forest’s soil, fast enough to gain on a running man, shooting from shadow to shadow whilst still maintaining a general direction. Some time ago, Pruvan started feeling a strange sensation coming from within the depths of Selkia forest. Mind that it wasn’t the first time he’d sensed a person that was about to die, or had already died, from within this place. In fact, Pruvan liked this forest just because it happened so often around here. A lot of young adventurers come to these woods to measure their skills, and there’s always the loose cannon that gets himself into trouble. But something about this feeling was different…
Pruvan suddenly jumped into the lee of a relatively smaller tree and came to an abrupt halt. As he opened his eyes it almost seemed as though it were the tree’s eyes and not his, for he had completely blended in with the tree’s shadow. The lee of the tree was facing an almost perfectly vertical rocky slope, about 13 feet high, that ran clear through the forest like a stone wall, dividing it in half. On top of it the forest simply continued, hinting that the slope might’ve been formed during an earthquake or shifting of continents or something similar. Pruvan didn’t pay much attention to any of these things though, his eyes were fixed on a narrow crevice that ran from the ground to halfway up the slope and seemed to lead into a pitch-black cave. Whatever was emitting this strange sensation he’d been feeling lately, was in there.
How interesting…
{OOC: I'm gonna wait before entering the cave, in case you want to react. Also, I feel like I typed too much already <.<'}

Hannah could only fight this battle for so long though. As strong as she was the drive of life or whatever it was that made her up. Energy she supposed. Was simply impossible to stop. It hummed through her veins. While the heavy damp smell of the cave filled her nose. It wouldn't be long now till all her senses would come back. Followed by, though, emotions, reality and the pain that came with it.
" You could never understand..."
Or maybe they understood better then she did. It was true she had given up on life. One of the most persistent women simply couldn't fight the good battle anymore. Ages upon ages of pain and lost had finally taken it's toll on her. It was her will that had died not her body. With the dread of failing should she try again hanging over her head. Hannah knew however that she couldn't try again. When she found the Birch elves they had all been slaughtered. Their blood painted the ground in a crimson black carpet.
The time laps from when she had the baby taken away from when she reached the surface was to close in time. There was no way her baby got out of there with her life. Sighing softly Spiders body slowly churned. Thought was coming through clear now. Even a memory or two. Seeing as how she couldn't remember the time laps till now. " The fates could not be any cruller."
The smell of the crisp fresh lively order of the forest mingled into the cave smell now. Along with the gritty texture of the cave floor. Sounds of life chattered in her ears. While the vibration of the moving spiders tickled at her flesh. Instantly everything seemed to click together. Spider's body was alive with feelings and sensations. All she really had to do was open her eyes...and life would be before her. Reality would no long just be nipping at her heals.
Hannah felt the movement of the spider's that lined the walls of the cave but she couldn't see the panic in their movements. It had started out with the local arachnid's fleeing first. They where aware of the creatures of this forest. The others merely fell in step. " You should panic...I should crush you all...for not listening...." Spider's words hissed through the air but no matter how harsh the words where the verbal tone used dripped in sadness. "He comes Lady of the Spiders."
"Enough...no more talk like that."
With out opening her eyes Hannah threw her form forward. Landing hard on the palms of her hands while the dirty blond hair cascaded down and around her neck like a curtain. Every part of her body was shaking in an almost delusional way as the air sparked with her energy. Everything was hitting her all at once as her mind came back together. Piecing the last few months back together like a puzzle. Till it all built one large picture in her minds eye.
"I just wanted it to go away...I just want to quit."
Hannah had promised herself that she would shed no more tears once she entered this cave. A promise she had every intention on keeping to herself. That promise however didn't stop her from screaming. From the top of her lungs she let it all out in almost an primal manor. Throwing all her emotions into it. As it echoed through out the cave rocking right back into her. But she didn't stop till her voiced cracked with pain. Only then did she give up that act...letting the cave have it's silence back.

Pruvan eyed the cave from afar for quite some time before finally heading towards it. Crossing the last few feet across the grasslands, he noticed something odd. It seemed the closer he got to the cave, the less prominent the strange sensation became. While it should, and he safely assumed this hadn’t randomly changed from one day to another, actually be getting stronger. He slowed down as he neared the entrance to the cave, keeping a close eye on it, then came to a halt right before the crevice. His shadowy figure swirled once across the floor before letting loose and rising up from the ground, the many streaks of shadow swirling in what looked like a small local whirlwind. As he reformed his ghostlike appearance, his eyes were once again focused on what the normal eye could not perceive.
His vision blurred and gained the strange green, grayish hue again as he watched the slope shifting and tearing open, forming the crevice he saw in front of him today. Pebbles and rocks shot out of the newly formed opening as the vacuum that had been contained within the now exposed underground caverns escaped, causing an explosion of pressure. When his vision changed back to normal, he had already completely detached himself from the ground and was now hovering in mid-air, a local swirling cloud of shadows with a pair of green eyes inside.
He stared at the cave entrance for a while, as if expecting something to happen in response to his appearance. But since nothing did, he slowly started moving forward inside, his shadowy body trailing behind him like a string of cloud trailing a bird’s wings. He decided it would be best to conceal himself at first, not so much out of fear of being attacked, but rather in fear that he might scare whatever was hiding in here away. As he drifted further into the darkness, he shifted into another layer of reality, this way he couldn’t be seen by anyone. Only the magically gifted could still sense him now, and even then they’d probably just shrug it off as a passing chill.
What happened next, however, still managed to catch him off guard. A horrible, agonizing shriek filled the air and echoed throughout the entire cave. Pruvan quickly moved closer to the wall, surprised at this sudden racket, and started scouring his surroundings. He stayed put for a long time before the screaming finally died off, but even then he didn’t move just yet. He was still contemplating the possibility that his presence might’ve caused this, and whether or not going further in was still a good idea. But his curiosity was now unrestrainable, so going in seemed the inevitable choice at this point.
As the cave started to widen the deeper he went, Pruvan noticed the strange sensation that had brought him here in the first place had all but died off. He didn’t get much time to ponder on this though, since he suddenly started hearing chittering noises coming from up ahead. Sure enough, as he passed around another corner he finally saw what had caused all the commotion. A body was lying on the floor, and surrounding it were dozens, if not hundreds, of small spiders, their chittering echoing throughout the room.
Pruvan let his gaze slide over the countless spiders that littered the floor, but kept most of his attention focused on the body in the middle of the room. As he floated slightly forward, he let a streak of shadow pierce one of the tiny spiders underneath him. What happened next startled him, to say the least, and actually made him stop in his tracks and look down at the spider he had just touched. It had already turned a pale grey and its legs had curled up against its body. The other spiders around it started crawling away, seemingly surprised by its sudden demise. Pruvan was watching it closely though, before finally letting the feeling he had tasted sink into him.
It tasted… caring?
His eyes turned back to face the body in the center of the room, which had barely moved since he arrived. He now moved intently towards the body, circling it from afar at first then coming in closer to hover almost directly above it. He looked down and saw a woman, he assumed human, with long blond hair covering her face. Her body was skinny and pale, presumably from being inside this cave for a long time. And though it was hardly noticeable by now, Pruvan could still sense a strange sensation coming from within her. He watched this peculiar woman whilst continuing to circle her, murmuring to himself.
It’s been so close to death… Walked that frail line that separates the living from the dead… Yet it’s refused to step over…
He glanced back at the spiders for a moment.
… Or has been deprived the opportunity...
He turned back towards the woman and moved a little closer, sharply focusing on the pulsing sensation within her.
Though it seems… Part of you has crossed that line… Hasn’t it?
While the woman had clearly been on the brink of death, something had pulled her back. But even then, it seemed something inside of her had died, like a part of one’s fiery soul being extinguished. It still didn’t explain why this sensation he felt coming from her was so different from the others though, there was something else about it he couldn’t quite put his finger on. Like recalling a name it was on the tip of his tongue, but he just couldn’t spit it out. And why did the spider have such an odd emotion coursing through it? The whole ordeal was confusing at best, but that just enticed Pruvan into it all even more.
Such a fascinating species you are…
For a moment he wondered if he should reveal himself, but thought it better not to just yet. At least not until he figured out what was going on here. He backed up a bit and anxiously watched her from afar, as if anticipating her to do something.

The spider's knew he was there even before he entered the cave. And perhaps even Hannah would have noticed the pressure change that took place through out the rock. But she forced herself not to. In fact she was forcing all her senses to stop. Spider didn't want to hear the life of the forest. Didn't want to taste the sweetness of the air outside. Didn't want to run with the wind. This cave was meant to be her own personal grave. It was high above the forest where part of her felt more comfortable. It was silent. She couldn't hear the joys of other peoples lives. Beyond all those things though this cave was special for one reason alone....
"The darkness..."
The words purred past her lips. Hannah's people had always been fond of the darkness. And so was she even before she was damned. It had a very calming effect on her. Slowly Spider pulled her torso up till she was in a sitting position resting the weight of her body on the back of her legs. Would it still be a comfort to her? It was why she sot to fall into a mindless sleep. Because it was true darkness there. But what if this darkness brought on the same effect. Already the answer past through her thoughts. ' Then I would never leave this cave.'
Racking a shaky hand into her hair Spider pushed back the hair that shrouded her face. All she had to do was open her eyes. But that also meant everything would become real. " I have to know..." whispered over the air. Even if it didn't have the same response as it once did Spider's mind had another act that may very well give her the wish she wanted. That would be if she could move faster then her spider family.
Slow Hannah parted her lids allowing the lashes to pull part gently. They were her shield so to speak... from reality. It was only a heart beat before her eyes were fully open. Even in the dark the emerald's of her eyes sparkled. Everything looked the same...but it didn't feel the same. It felt colder. Seeing clearly wasn't an issue at all every curve and lump in the ground clearly focused into the rocks that they were. Matter of fact Spider could see better in the dark then she could the light. It was a part of the set back on being able to be out in the light.
But no matter what was around her it gave her no comfort. Not like it once had. Shaking her head Spider bit back the tears that weld in her eyes.
"No more tears Hannah...."
All around her the spiders seemed to take great joy in her movements. As they all moved closer in an attempt to care for her. Slowly Hannah pulled her gaze down to the ground around her. Surrounding her form was not only live spider's but also many more who gave their life force to her so that she could stay in this plan of life. All but one that was set off away from the swarm that was gathering before her in praise. Canting her head gently Hannah stared at the shriveled form unable to stop the single tear that drew a path down her cheek.
It didn't matter what it died from..but it wasn't like the other ones around her. Though she couldn't explain how she felt it. The feeling was there. And it beat down on her another strong wave of emotions. More then Spider could take at this moment. As much as she loved the spiders around her...she couldn't see to their wants. But Spider could see to her own for once in her life.
Yanking her muscles into actions Hannah rose to her feet. In a standing position her structure ached to be worked out to feel the rush through the muscles. As it should be her structure cwas perfect for her kind at lest. But no matter how perfect it was it would always have a hole in it's center. As to not send the spiders into alarm Hannah carefully raised her arms up till they were level with her shoulders. Spreading her figures out as far as they could go soon after. This had to be very suttle or they would notice what she was doing. Closing her eyes once again Hannah unlocked the box around her mind and let everything simply flow.
Doing so was very important because she needed her silk. The moment she was an open book her hands erupted into millions of little threads. Shimmering even in the dark they floated through the air with great control on her part. First gently brushing over her spiders ensuring peace to them in a way. While the others swirled and twisted around each other above their heads. Crackling with the energy that projected them.
"There is always more then one way to crush a spider...."
With her eery words the silk threads broke out into a spin quickly weaving into at lest twenty different thorn like spikes. Already the spiders scurried towards her trying to beat the thorns. But no matter how fast they moved she was faster. Plunging the spikes into various points of her body. As hard as it was to believe the silk threads clustered together as they were held as much strength to them as a sword itself. Tearing threw her flesh like a hot knife.
Using them to hurt herself wasn't a bad idea really. One she would bleed a great amount of what blood was still left in her body and the threads would also pulled out the energy they spiders forced upon her. Already blood was pouring out of the holes the threaded spikes had made as she dropped in her knees gurgling in the blood the was bubbling up in her throat.
As fast as the blood flowed the spiders that now jumped and latched onto her were working just as fast to literally sew the wounds closed. They were panic-ed and heart broken pleading for her to live. They needed her to live. Course it would take well over half the spiders in the cave to pulled her back from this jump. From the energy that was pulled from her body simply slipped out into the open making it darn near impossible for them to recapture. And they couldn't go and hunt for her. It was the perfect plan...it could never bring a true death. But it would bring her closer to that darkness she wanted so bad.
Only one thing was made very clear in the darkness of the cave...and it was something almost no other being would ever hear. The endless pleading for Hannah's life from the very spiders that people over looked as mindless insects.
"Please do no take her away from us...Hannah...please do not leave us."

Pruvan’s eyes widened as the woman finally made a sound, whispering something to herself. He edged a little closer and observed her every movement as she brushed the hair out of her face and rose to a sitting position. She sat still with her eyes wide shut for a long time before finally opening them, a pair of large green eyes shimmering with what little light still managed to reflect its way this deep inside the cave. Pruvan stared right into them, enthralled by their hollowness, though she did not stare back. She was just sitting there staring blankly into space, her mind clearly elsewhere. Suddenly she shook her head and stared at the floor, and as she did all the spiders started scurrying towards her, seemingly pleased to see her moving as well.
As they were gathering around her, her eyes slowly turned towards the one dead spider a little further off that Pruvan had killed earlier. Pruvan’s eyes followed hers as he stared at the tiny corpse for a while, wondering if she’d noticed something was off. As he stared back at her he blinked in surprise as he saw a tear roll down her cheek, run along her chin and drop on the floor. He stared at the small wet spot on the ground for a while before slowly looking back up at her face. He was unsure what to think for a moment. Did seeing the dead spider make her sad for some reason? Maybe she cared about these little creatures somehow. Pruvan looked down at the many spiders gathering around her again as he recalled the caring emotion he had tasted from the now dead spider.
All of a sudden the woman rose to her feet, and Pruvan stared at her intently again as she slowly stretched her arms besides her. Pruvan tilted his eyes slightly as she closed her eyes and stood still for a while, then leaned them closer in amazement as the many threads of silk erupted from her hands. They floated gently through the air and continued to flow out of her hands like balls of yarn being unrolled. Pruvan’s eyes followed one of the beautiful threads that was heading in his direction until it reached him, then he slowly separated his shadows a bit to form a hole for the silk to pass through. His eyes turned around as he watched the thread continue to move behind him, through his body, away from the hand it had spawned from. He turned back and gazed around in marvel as the many shining threads filled the room, crisscrossing above one another.
How… enchanting…
Nothing could’ve prepared him for what happened next though. Before Pruvan had good and well realized what she’d said, the silky threads spun together at immense speed into giant spikes and pierced the woman from all sides. As blood gushed out of her wounds and started forming small puddles on the cavern floor, Pruvan hung frozen in mid-air, unable to look away from it all or manage even a single thought. The spiders enwrapped the bleeding body as fast as they could, filling the room with deafening chittering noises as they went. But even they had clearly been caught off guard, since the blood loss was now so immense it was hard to believe she was still alive.
And just as that thought managed to pierce into his mind, he noticed the odd sensation that had begun to radiate off of her again. Now that he was this close, it became so intense in fact that Pruvan finally managed to put his finger on it, to describe what it was, what it felt like. And as he did the scene he saw before him finally started to make more and more sense to him. He blinked in astonishment as the pieces of this complex puzzle came falling together to shape the bloody picture he saw before him. This sudden epiphany made him so enthralled by this peculiar woman that he just couldn’t hold himself back anymore.
”You want to die… But you can’t… Can you?”
As he spoke he slowly started hovering towards her whilst shifting back into normal reality, revealing himself to her. And though it wasn’t clear if the woman could actually hear him or not in her current predicament, he continued talking anyway.
”You desperately seek an escape from life… But Death refuses to offer you its sweet, tender gift…”
He continued to move towards her until he was hanging straight above her head. He looked down upon this woman that managed to stay alive even when she didn’t want to. And though spiders were crawling over her entire body, he could still see her empty green eyes behind their hairy little bodies.
”So you lock yourself away inside your mind… Hoping to bereave yourself from life in a different way…”
He moved a little closer to her face, tilting his eyes slightly.
”But still Fate holds her caring arms firmly folded around you… Sending your little friends to preserve your very existence…”
The spiders seemed agitated by Pruvan’s presence, but nevertheless kept tending and healing the wounds all over her body.
”… Truly the worst friends one can have are the ones that care too much… Hmm?...”
He moved closer towards her face still, and stared into her eyes with his glowing green ones whilst continuing to speak in an almost otherworldly tone of voice. His shadowy body slowly covered the area in front of her until only his eyes remained inside a pitch black darkness.
”Show me… Show me what curse invokes these horrendous torments…”
Over a dozen threads of shadow slipped out of the darkness and slowly slithered past the working spiders towards her head, gently piercing it.
”… Show me what monsters dwell inside the shadows of your mind…”

It seemed like it was all around her. Thickening the air as if that was even possible. But the harder she tried to see the less the picture became clear. Course that wasn't at all surprising her body was racing along with the spiders to heal Hannah's body at an alarming rate. The voice however...was clear as day. Rich and warm like honey yet unearthly in some unexplainable way. But it was welcoming...and even as he slipped into her mind Spider was already opening up the webs that blocked out all others. She was opening up to the darkness... How odd that the body before him was clearly in a horrid condition yet it's mind was abound with life and an indescribable energy. Welcoming him guiding the shadow towards the heart of all this activity. A massive web that seemed to go on and on in all different directions with no end. But it wasn't the web that was important they were simply the paths taken in her live. It was the small light blond haired child the rested in the middle that was important. Extremely tiny yet healthy looking it almost was unrecognizable as being Hannah till the child looked to it's guest. Two massive emerald eyes looked over the shadows that were creeping into it's sanctuary. There was no bought as to whom the eyes belonged to. It was just what shown in them that was shocking. It was a reflection of how happy and care free they were...like she used to be. But more was to this then met the eye. Spider had some odd control of her mind and all who entered it. Though it was odd. It reacted more like a parasite would yet it never attacked. It was the damned side of her accepting his present but not allow him to have total control of it's host. Finally the child slowly stood brushing off the ruffles of the velvet green dress she wore. "So..." a small squeaky voice floated on the air. " you come looking for the monsters?" Canting her head the child seemed to pull more of the Shadow inside her mind. " I do not like you in that form. You remind me of them. The monsters." Pausing the little girl narrowed her eyes. " I shall change that!" The little girl giggled soft with delight. " I do not get to play often." Slowly the psyche took control and willed the Shadow into the wavy form of a shadowy man. Still a shadow none the less. " That is much better." the small Hannah smiled before turning towards the web behind her. It was the gate that locked the monsters away. Reaching out with a petite hand the girl pulled on one of the threads in the center of the web. " Shadow. Please do not allow the monsters to get free...I hate the rage they bring on...." With those ere words hanging in the air the child ripped free the spider thread. The darkness that lurked behind it quickly grabbed a hold of the Shadow cutting it's mental path to the very beginning of Lady Spider.
It was a chaotic setting. Woman and children running and screaming. While men of military status rushed forward belching out orders left and right. Alas, it wasn't the people around them that was important. But the people who were locked hand and hand together. One man massive in height with royal blue robes billowing off his form. Upon his head rested a brilliant gold crown. Intertwined in his arms was what looked to be his wife. Short yet well rounded in her matching cloth. Clearly they were a and .
Hugging onto the queens leg was another small girl this one was different though with brilliant dark mahogany brown hair. But the face shape was similar to someone else and not the parents she clung so tightly too. Turning to the right some...standing with in the door way of a balcony that no bought looked over the town square was her. Hannah. She looked the same. At lest from first glance...slowly as if replaying itself over again the woman turned. It was indeed Hannah. But she was very different. Everything about her seemed plumper if that was possible and her skin was rosy cream color that simply radiated with the life she put into it. Slowly her lips parted.
"Father...they have started throwing the woman and children into a pit....I think they wish to bury them alive!"
The man turned to his little girl with sadness filling his voice. " Tis not a wish my child they will bury them alive." the weight of the world rested on this mans shoulders and it showed. Calmly he pulled his wife closer to his chest. "The Campbells are heartless people...even the devil can not guess what their actions will be next. So pull your spider in now Hannah." Even before the could say another word one of his most trusted sires burst open the door to the kings great hall.
"Lord Spider...they have broken down the gate! We must get you and the royal family out of here before those dogs find you!"
In a fluttering moment everyone's actions seemed to speed up so much that it was hard to see what was happening. The royal family was running holding on to each other for dear life. Screams, and crashing of metal on metal filled the air. Who ever was following them was closing in fast. The tunnel they dashed through was cold and damp and smelled like death already.
The beating of feet not their own soon joined in the echo of the tunnel.
"Vena..." the called as he pulled his family to a halt. "...take the girls and run. The Campbells want the and the they shall get." The woman broke out into tears with his words. " Oiso...I love you...." It was the first smile the man had giving in a couple days and it showed. "I will die in peace knowing my darlings are out of this hell." Gently he leaned in kissing his wife and small daughter before turning to Hannah.
"No matter what happens my little lamb keep you the family safe."
With that the man took off back they way they had just came. His body bursting into threads already as he worked his way to the swords that awaited him. Already the monsters where poking into the past. Ripping the first massive cut of heartache into Hannah's heart. She was the strongest of the Spider people to be born since the third . And her father was the 50th to calm the thrown under the Aicanid family. She should help her father so he would have to die just for them.
"Hannah!" the woman screamed shattering her frozen state. "Take Willow and go...I gave my life to your father. I will not turn my back to those vows now. I love you more then anything...you do know that my baby." With out hesitation the woman took the young Hannah into her arms kissing her hair frantically whispering a safe passage between kisses. The woman's words picked up speed as the vibration in the ground seemed to draw closer. " Your father is in his great form....'sighing she went on' cut down the valley till you reach the big rock. The spiders will take you to the small pocket under the rock. Stay there till it is safe for you both. Then head west till you reach the coast. The Vadicia family clan they will help you from there. "
Yet again the pain and darkness took another slash into Hannah's heart with no time to heal from the last.
"Mother....." the plead wasn't one of the young woman but one of a child.
Once again the past speed up to sicking speeds. Clearing passing over the small details to the monsters that ate away at her soul. Even as it speed along thought there was one thing that was making it's self known. The darkness seemed to get darker? A bitter taste seemed to tainted every inch of everything.
Then it stopped again...fear taking over every sense and fiber of the area.
And the smell of death....
Snarls that clearly gurgled with drool echo through out the air...the picture hesitated some before letting it's scene played out.
"I do not like this part...." the little girl stood silently off to the side apparently she was along for the ride as well.
It was a beach there was no question about that as the waves beat into the shore line. Something that should have been beautiful. But it wasn't. Blood littered the sand in various places. The blood source was from the little girl named Willow.Who dangled by the nook in her spin that was ripped out from it's skin casing. Rocking back and forth on the index figure of a gruesome looking man with pale white skin, sharp claw like nails, a muscle structure of a beast, and long fang like teeth dipping down from his mouth.
"They want you alive....not her..."
With those words he lunged onto Hannah with so much force it pushed blood out from her mouth. The quickly lap at it the moment he had her pinned down. With no more of a warning he yanked her head to her right shoulder exposing her neck...with the savageness of a wolf he ripped into Hannah's neck. Taking in so much blood it sent the tiny body into convulsions. Only then did he raise from her neck slicing open his wrist replacing her blood with his own.
Changing her for ever....taking a way any form of a life she could have ever had....it took her right to die just like every one else.
"I was suppose to keep my sister safe..." the child cried softly before sending them back through the memories. This time it was different...it was if Spider didn't want him to stop on those times and relive them. However she did want them to be know apparently because the little girl quickly explained as they went through.
" They kept me locked up for a while...the vampires. I was their experiment. I was to be their ultimate pet. I was starved from blood and energy. Whipped, beaten, drowned, cut, burned, cut almost in half, gutted alive, and skinned wide wake. Yet...I never died. I always healed.Quicker then them...they did not like that...but planned to us it...." the child's voice seemed to take on an old tone to it yet she remain as a child.
"I feel in love with Risquen...he saved me from the vampires. He did not love me though.
In fact...he like all the rest sought to use me as well. Only he wished to do it for less harmful reasons them most of them. A trade market...apparently they pay a lot of money for a woman like me. Once bought he would have me kill the buyer. Then he would rob the dead. He made me think I loved him...but really he was turning me into a killer. I killed children. Children no old then Willow was..."
Tears rippled down her face the little girl was however no longer little. She had aged into her middle years. As the years rippled past them in so much pain, sorrow, regret, and self hatred. The there were the blood lusts and the uncontrollable out bursts of rage. Rage that had killed friends and people she loved. Hoards of battle and wars with mountains of corpses, plagues and famines . Every where was death.
At one point they snapped into a memory of a man named Ashream. He struck fear into everything as well. He tortured her mentally dragging her back into her past many of times. Using it against her. Ash had planted so much fear into Hannah that when they re lived that part of her life she couldn't even allow his voice to be heard. Only his lips moved... his cruel wicked expression was nearly good enough to see his intents. But all of this was leading up to the newest scar that had finally pushed her over the edge.
The loss of her child...something....she wasn't ready to re live just yet. So with out warning Hannah slammed the door closed to her mind. Pushing out the Shadow with as much force as she mentally could dig up at this point.
Gasping her eyes shot open...she hadn't even realized she had closed them. Looking down most of the spider had left her form leave only fresh pink like marks where they had sewn her back together again. Snapping her head back up Hannah locked her own green eyes into the green eyes of the Shadow. But it wasn't fear that shown her eyes...it was shame...and sorrow...for everything she had already been through....and everything he had seen. "I do wish for death Shadow. But one can not kill that which is already dead." Slowly the tears rolled back down her cheeks as she let the webs that protected her mind weave themselves back together again.

Pruvan stared back at Hannah while his shadowy form shrunk back to a small cloud, and the area around them became visible again. He could hardly believe what he had just seen. To have been tortured in so many ways most people wouldn’t dare imagine… This innocent girl had been doomed from childhood on to live in agony and pain for the rest of her life, and still everyone around her had sought to torment her further still. The fact she managed to hold on to what little sanity she had left was astonishing, he could imagine grown men cracking for less. The way her mind still managed to maintain control, to remain such an innocent core surrounded by hatred and darkness…
Pruvan gazed at Hannah with a sparkle of improper enthusiasm in his eyes, which quickly faded away again when he saw the tears flowing down her face. Here he was, marveling over the fact that he had found someone like her while she could wish nothing more than to have never been born. He tilted his eyes slightly as he couldn’t help but feel a slight hint of sympathy for her. But even then, he had so many questions he wanted to ask her, so many things he wanted to know about her… It was impossible to restrain himself now and just walk away from it all.
His body slowly started spiraling downwards, the many shadows that were swirling around at first now moving closer to one another. As the shadows started condensing, the shape of a small crouching child slowly became visible in front of Hannah. The shadow child was resting its hands on its knees and was now staring at her at her own height, Pruvan’s glowing green eyes being its only visible facial feature, the rest of his face being a clean slate. Tiny streaks of shadow still let loose of its body every now and again, slowly circling around the child before merging with it again at a different location. As it started talking it didn’t sound like a child however, it was still Pruvan’s distinguishable tone of voice that emerged from within.
”Why?...”
The question echoed throughout the cave for several seconds before dying off. The child blinked and tilted his head slightly.
”Why would you want to kill yourself now?...”
The question seemed absurd at best, especially given the things he had just seen. But Pruvan continued anyway, seemingly not expecting an answer yet.
”You’ve lost so much… Endured more than any living being ever should…”
Pruvan paused and blinked again, seemingly pondering for a moment. He tilted his head back and chose his next words carefully.
”… What is there left to lose?...”
Pruvan stared straight into Hannah’s eyes, fully aware of how harsh the remark might’ve sounded, no matter how sincere it was.
”In your darkest hours you were given powers most people could only dream of… You finally have the strength to get back at those who harmed you… To have your revenge on those who beset you… And to live the life you were denied so long ago…”
His voice seemed to soften as the child rose to its feet whilst continuing to stare her straight in the eyes.
”Nothing can make up for the losses you’ve suffered… Not even death… So why do you deny yourself a clean slate?... A chance at a better existence?...”
The child stretched out its small hand at Hannah, offering her help to get up. Though no physical contact was actually possible, Pruvan felt obliged to make the gesture anyway to enforce his statement.
”What fate could life possibly still have for you that’s worse than this?...”

It was odd reaching a hand out to something that really wasn't there. But Hannah couldn't help herself. It was a darling gesture after all. Carefully she placed her hand with in the shadows raising to her feet soon after. Even through the tears she couldn't help but to smile at him. Perhaps he took the form of a child to seem less threatening. Or maybe it was what he was with in the shadows? As always even in the lowest of her lows Spiders mind never stopping think. Course her own questions would have to wait. He had asked his own... Reaching up she used the back of her hands to clear the tears away. " I told myself I wouldn't cry anymore once I entered this cave." It was a plan statement with a monotone voice. Locking her own gaze onto him Hannah paused for a moment thinking out her response. Clearing her voice she slowly slipped her hands to her hips. As the tiny spiders departed towards the walls. Course a handful of others still stayed finishing up on the worse of the wounds. While others went back to biting into her flesh thickening up what blood was left in her body to make it last as long as it could. "You speak to kind of me shadow. For as much damage that has done been done to me I for sure have done the same amount to others. Which is why I do not seek revenge to those who had wronged me. It may be sweet at first but the after taste is always bitter." Her voice was soft almost soothing. It was hard to believe really that a woman so scarred could still hold a caring tone. Yet she did as she canted her head studying him for a moment. " I do not fear you Shadow." The statement was simple nothing complex to it. But to her it was more then that. Perhaps it was the form he was in. When she first took in his image he was the beautiful darkness. She respected and cared for the darkness. It could never put fear into her. "I could never have death...not like a normal person anyways. And it is impossible for me to kill myself. Character flaw to the blood. So it was not death that I truly seek...but the darkness. I have nothing left to loss. I have lost a child...no parent should ever grieve over the loss of their own child before their own death. I have waited a very long time to have a child Shadow...and I shall have to wait another very, very long time before I can have another." There was sadness oozing out of ever word that past over her lips. Yet there was still strength and will that couldn't be hidden in her voice. It was strong and deter mend even it she didn't know it. "As for starting a clean slate..." slowly she turned towards a protruding rock next to her gently leaning her body against it trying to waste less energy as possible now. " I have...many of times. What you saw...was the ending to all those clean slates I started." sighing softly she rested her head to the side of her shoulder some. "I came here seeking an eternal sleep...mindless and emotionless. Because after all how many times does one have to start a clean slate for things to go right for once. Which is almost impossible for one who lives through the pages of time. Wars will never stop. Nor will illnesses and famines. And death will always and forever be at the door of those around me. So why not...seek peace for once." Smiling softly it felt rather good to speak with someone about this. Will kind of. It ripped up the pain lurking in her own shadows. But it had been a while since she had spoke with anyone for that matter. Well other then Nadja. Oh how she missed that girl and hoped she had her freedom. But Hannah couldn't think about that right now...it was painful. So she quickly replaced her thoughts with her questions. "How did you find me Shadow...true I screamed...but we are far to deep in this cave for it to truly have any effect on the outside." Adjusting herself Hannah softly smiled. A smile that seemed to add a warm glow to her cheeks. "And why do you care so passionately about wither I live or sleep forever?" ((ooc: Your post was just fine. Don't over think. ^.^))

The last question made Pruvan quiver a little, he couldn’t make out why exactly, but it did. Maybe because he couldn’t manage a full answer to that question, or worse, because the answer to that question was one she wouldn’t like. He looked up at Hannah, taken aback by her kindness and lack of consternation towards him, something he wasn’t accustomed to. Sure there’s the occasional polite traveler, but usually people feared him before they even knew him. And even then they kept a distance, because politeness by no means equals kindness or trust.
But she… She’d opened her mind to a stranger, an unknown being for that matter, without even questioning his motives. She’d just accepted his presence like a kind visitor, like an old acquaintance… She hadn’t been lying, she really didn’t fear him. And perhaps that’s why Pruvan sought to preserve her, not to let her go so easily. It captivated him.
The shadow child seemed to disintegrate as the multiple shadows that made up its body suddenly let loose and started swirling upwards again, turning back into Pruvan’s shapeless cloud-like state of being. As he opened his eyes he noticed her wounds had all but gone and she was as good as healthy again, physically anyways. Evidence of her healing abilities, and of the afflictions that came with it. He turned his gaze up at her smiling lips, captivated by their unscathed innocence for a moment, before finally speaking.
”The scent of your predicament reached me long before I heard or saw you… As a Shade I’ve the power to sense the dead or soon to die… Yours was a difficult case though… Its complexity allured me and I followed it… It led me straight to you…”
Pruvan trusted she understood what he meant by ’difficult case’. With the easier of two questions out of the way, he continued.
”I suppose I want you alive because… You fascinate me… It would be a shame to let one as rare as you just wither away… I hardly ever meet people who accept me as openly as you do… And we share a common liking for darkness… I want to know more about you…”
He sounded quite eerie at best, and it wasn’t hard to see why most people chose to avoid him. But Pruvan felt Hannah was like a kindred spirit, someone he could talk to, someone who would listen without prejudice. Yet sadly, or ironically, as he revered in this fact, he suddenly found himself without a thing to say. His mind was drawing a blank as he stared at Hannah without managing a word. The silence seemed to last an eternity before he finally managed to bring forth another question.
”… What happened to your child?...”
He recalled how she had suddenly shut him out of her mind as they were reaching a certain memory. One he probably wasn’t allowed to see, which taking into account the things she had let him see meant a lot. It wasn’t hard to figure out what that memory might’ve been about then. It also meant that the loss of her child was a pain far worse than any of the other tortures she’d endured in her entire life, and while most would tactfully avoid the subject for that reason, Pruvan’s innocent yet unpleasant curiosity once again got the better of him. Luckily, this time however he seemed to realize this as well.
”… You needn’t answer… If you do not wish to…”
He quickly added it with a softer tone of voice. Afraid of insulting her privacy or alienating her away from him, he thought it wiser not to ask too many questions about things better left unsaid for now. He quietly awaited her response when suddenly his vision blurred and the distinctive greenish hue enwrapped his vision again. He watched as Hannah was talking to a man he did not recognize. Pruvan couldn’t distinguish the expression on the man’s face, but saw Hannah was crying. A lot. His vision turned back to normal and he quietly mulled over what he had just seen, still awaiting Hannah’s response.

For the briefest moment Spider could have sworn she was blushing at his words. True she had been told she was a rare type before. The words were nothing new. But it was how he said it that made it different. The Shade as he called himself had truly been draw to her and was indeed fascinated by her. And she was almost embarrassed by his intrigue for her. Tho there was no real reason for it. Spider could even taste his energy as he twisted and curled his form back to the beautiful darkness.
Hannah could taste him. His energy. Sweet...reminded her of honey. Just how his voice had done. That was indeed interesting to her. But it wasn't a good thing. Clearly it took a lot of energy for her to heal as quickly as she did. If Spider wanted to compile to his curiosity she need to feed. With out even thinking about...Spider relaxed her body some and let the threads escape from her finger tips. Shimmering even in the darkness they carefully slithered over the rocky ground hastily taking to the walls avoiding the shadow.
There was no telling what would happen if she tasted his energy. Course she could control how she feed that wasn't an issue it was how would her body take to such a different form of energy. His life form really was different from others Hannah had tasted. Before he could ask what she was doing Spider softly replied.
"I need to feed from the life force of the forest if we want to continue this pleasant conversation. Smiling softly Hannah pulled herself up on the rock some as the threads stretched down and out of the cave. Carving a barely visible path threw the forest searching for anything alive. Inside the cave Hannah became quiet as her mind sifted through all that he had just said. "I suppose it is always best to not procrastinate. I did show you all but that anyways...it's natural for you to want to ask."
Clearly it didn't bother him that he had asked. It was forming the right answer that was the problem. Either way she feared she would cry again. But for some odd reason she couldn't hold back her tong from wanting to tell him. As if she needed too. As if it was impossible for her not too.
"I do not know what happened to my son."
Silence followed for some time after those words. At first it could have been taken that the words had chocked her up. But a keen eye one could see that a few of the threads she had only minutes ago dispersed were brighter. Sighing softly in relieve she went on.
"I had dropped and was ready to give birth when they dragged me out of the cell. I remember giving birth...and hearing his cry. Then everything just vanishes. Only to reappear again. Though I am slipping through the crack in a wall in my own shadow form. Then just as quickly I am above the ground. Blood and bodies everywhere. The bodies of my captors..." she nodded softly as if reinforcing her words.
"Our natural bond cut. Even though I couldn't feel him I searched through all the dead bodies." Gasping back on her memories as she raked a hand through her thick hair. As if she was fighting to keep control of her emotions. " Some of the bodies were so bad I couldn't tell who or even what part they were. I never found him. Our connection is broke...leaving only two reasons. He is either dead or under feed to the point where he might as well be dead. A child that young can not come back after a week with no nourishment."
Drawing her attention back to those green eyes that seem to engross her whole body in one view. Finding peace once again in the darkness that he was. Closing her eyes she let it comfort her. While her threads softly brushed against the edges of his ever shifting shadow. It was bliss to have just one breath of peace even if it was only for a short moment. Upon opening her eyes again she saw something questioning in his eyes. If that was even possible. Hannah could poke that question later though she needed to pull away from this part of the conversation for a moment.
"What is you name shadow? Or should I simply call you shadow?"
Pausing her own puzzled look soften her features some.
"You said you were a Shade. I am afraid I have not heard of a Shade till now." Pausing she used the newly acquired strength to pull her weight up some more. A few more hits and she would be able to stand fully on her own. With out the help of a rock. " I have known many who can manipulate shadows. Some who had the power to give them a solid form." Kachiko. That was the woman's name. " Even I can mist and become one with the shadows. But...you....you are much different."
Biting down on her lower lip softly Spider studied him with her gently eyes. Moving over every ripple and twist in his form. He had said he was fascinated by her. But it was she who was quickly spinning with curiosity over him. Using her hands and what strength she had. Hannah slowly pulled herself away from the rock. Attaching the spider threads to the open patch of skin on her outer thigh before carefully taking a few steps closer to him.
"You are not a ghost yet you can not take form like them can you?" Hannah picked that up when he offered to help her up. "Have you tried to take a solid form before Shadow?"
Oh if he couldn't take a form how sad that would be. The emotion of that thought seemed to fill the air. It saddened her that he may very well be missing out on the most simple pleasure in life. Touch. It was hard to explain how she viewed it through her eyes. Perhaps it held importance to her because her senses were so sensitive. Or maybe because under all her strengths...she was a kind and gentle person who took great care of the simple acts in life.

Pruvan’s eyes followed one of the threads until it crept around a corner and moved out of sight, then turned back at Hannah. He wondered if she was planning to hurt herself again for a moment, but she explained her intentions before his mind could dwell on it. Though he was interested in the way she apparently fed, the fact that she was willing to answer his question quickly grabbed his attention back. He had been anxious to hear the story about her son, but as she told her tale he was sort of let down by the fact that she knew so little of what really happened herself. Looking down in slight disappointment, he pondered on what a natural bond would feel like for a while. And how she must’ve felt when she hadn’t managed to find her own child.
Suddenly, he blinked and turned his gaze towards the wall, in the direction of where the entrance of the cave and the forest would be. Having been distracted by Hannah’s story, he hadn’t noticed the sudden scent of death yet that now lingered in the air. Something had died, something close by. He looked back at Hannah and noticed she seemed a tad healthier than before. His gaze fell down and dropped on the many threads again, those beautiful but deadly threads.
He could well imagine now how she used them to feed; they were not dissimilar from the shadowy threads he used. He wondered what she tasted when she fed off creatures, if she could taste their emotions and thoughts like he could, or if she tasted bitter and sweet and sour as they called it like most people do…
The many questions that welled up in his mind were suddenly pushed away by the ones that apparently filled Hannah’s. It had been a long time since last he’d had a conversation this long with anyone, so needless to say he was very excited about his new talking-buddy. Their mutual interest for one another seemed to spark good talking material. He listened carefully at all of her questions, glad to see that she finally managed to stand a bit on her own already. As she stepped closer towards him and asked her final question, he could make out a slight hint of sadness desecrate her smiling lips.
”You can call me… Pruvan… Most people don’t even know Shades exist… So it’s okay…”
He stared at Hannah’s smile again.
”I don’t control shadows though… I think I… Am a shadow… Or something similar…”
He paused for a while before explaining his doubt.
”The truth is I don’t really know what I am myself… Apparently no one seems to know… Not even Shades themselves… I don’t even know how I came to be… Or where I came from…”
He tilted his eyes slightly. He’d given up hope long ago that someone would know what he was, or where he came from. He’d spent many years trying to figure that out, these days he hardly ever thought about it anymore. He tilted his eyes back and simply moved on, seemingly dropping the subject just like that.
”I can blend with the shadows… Shift and shape myself into anything I can imagine… But I can’t control other shadows… Only draw from them… And nothing I turn into can actually touch anything in this world…”
He paused again for a moment, thinking of a good way to explain why. Which was hard to do, because it was another one of those things he didn’t fully understand himself.
”… Have you ever tried touching your own shadow?…”
He continued, not expecting her to actually answer.
”You can’t… You may think you can… But you cannot touch the shadow itself… Only the surface beneath it…”
He looked down at the ground. There was barely any light in the cave, but some shadows from the rocks around them could still be made out.
”When a shadow is cast on the ground, the ground does not feel that shadow… Just like you don’t feel it when one is cast on you… That’s because shadows don’t actually touch you… But they’re there… Perhaps in some different layer of reality… One we can only see… But not feel…”
He glanced back up at Hannah and concluded what he was trying to explain.
”I cannot touch you any more than you can touch your own shadow… I don’t know why… But… That’s how it is… And I’ve grown to accept that…”
He’d theorized on the subject a thousand times before, and so far this was the best explanation he'd come up with. It was a difficult subject, so Pruvan was actually quite interested in other people’s view on the matter. He stared intently at Hannah, awaiting her insight. Perhaps she knew something that could shed some light on the whole ordeal, and if not, he always enjoyed philosophizing about it with someone else.

"Pruvan."
His name lingered on her lips for a moment as she absorbed all he had just told her. It all made sense in fact for a moment she even thought it was silly that she had even asked him if he could take a form. Then she recalled why she had asked. Kachiko. "I knew a woman who was well skilled with not just controlling shadows but giving them form and body. At one point one of her shadows nearly crushed my throat." pausing for a moment Spider narrowed her eyes in her own questions to herself.
"Yes. Kachiko could take energy and encase the shadows with in them. Much like you would do with water in a sack. This not only trapped the shadow inside but it always enabled her to give it any shape or form she wanted. I can not fully recall how she did it tho. It was why I asked you if you could take a form."
Kicking her hip out to the side Spider placed a hand on her hip examining the shadow for a few more moments. The wheels in her head were spinning. " I am sorry you can not take pleasure in the joys of touch Pruvan." smiling softly her warm eyes reflected the sincerity of her words. "What you are is still boggling to the mind tho." Relaxing some Hannah gently cut some of the threads that lead their way out of the cave.
" You seem to have a conscience, and even emotional awareness. Not unusual of a ghost." pausing she took a quick side step to the right before making a complete circle around the shadow. It was fast movements to most but she knew it wasn't nearly as fast as she could move. More damage was done to herself them she expected. That simply thought brought a brief bitter smirk to her lips before she moved on to what she was saying before.
"Yet, your not tainted with the taste of after death as they are. It's almost like your soul took on this form. It is very interesting." Nodding softly as a "mhmm" purred from her throat as she rested back against the rock again. Perhaps saving her strength. "It has been a very long time since I have had a chat with anyone Pruvan." The statement came out of no where. Except for the look in her eyes that gave away the fact that she was deep in thought about him.
" I like you Pruvan. Tho I can not explain why...it is hard not to befriend you. As if I already know you. Which is a feeling I am not accustomed too. For that a lone if you like one day I could take you to Kachiko and she can help you. Perhaps she may even know something more solid about what you are."
Nodding at her words Spider ran a hand threw her hair again fluffing the blond mass softly. Looking out past the shadow for a few moments as something else came into her mind. Chaz was still out there and still looking for her. Hannah couldn't allow him to find her. Even now some of the spiders seemed to be sensing her thoughts and were already making their way out of the cave to be her eyes.
Drawing her own big green eyes back to the pair that stuck out from the ever changing shades of darkness Hannah had to smile again. It felt good to do really. Course she wouldn't have said that out loud. Canting her head to the side it was once again clear the gears in her head were turning once again. The question spinning in her head was kind of haunting really. What would he taste like? What would he feel like?
"One can not touch a shadow...that much is true, But can a shadow touch another shadow?" It wasn't really a question to be answered with words however. Once again Hannah sat herself some up this time tho she didn't look at him. But at her right hand that she placed in front of her. Already it was fading away. Misting and blending into the shadows of the cave till it was a shadow for a second or two. Only then did Hannah look back up to Pruvan.
"Pruvan? I have something to ask of you." lowering her head some she corrected herself. "No, two things really. Only the first one is more of an explanation." Seeming to take in a deep breath of the cave. "Someone is looking for me outside of this cave. Someone I don't want to find me. And the more I think about it. You maybe my only way of hiding from him. But in order to find out I would like to see if I can blend into you in my own shadow form."
Silence filled the cave after her words died off. "The only problem is I have no idea what the after affect will be. For me shadowing with another shadow is a very personal thing for my kind. Specially if the shadow is another person. Which I full believe you are. You just happen to be in a shadow form." sighing softly she finally looked up at Pruvan sadness then fear filled her eyes.
" I can not let him find me Pruvan."

As Hannah spoke of the person called Kachiko, Pruvan was drawn in closer at the mention of her being able to give shadows actual forms and bodies. If this was true then Hannah had just given him a new goal to set, the first one since months. He’d come upon plenty of people before who had some minor shadow-blending powers, like Hannah, but very few actually knew how it worked, or had any actual form of control over other shadows.
From the sounds of it Kachiko had only been giving insentient shadows forms, so it was yet to see if she had any idea what he was or if she could actually help him… But it was worth checking out, especially since, as time had passed, his number of options had steadily decreased after every dead end or misled clue he’d run into.
Pruvan’s eyes followed Hannah for a while as she circled him, studying him from all sides. But just as quickly as she disappeared from one side of his peripheral vision, she reappeared again at the other side. Her movements were so nimble and agile that he hadn’t had the time to follow her. As she leaned back against the rock, her statement that it was hard not to befriend him felt awkwardly unfamiliar to him.
She was right, there’d been an unknown chemistry between the two from the moment he entered her mind. When she offered to one day take him to Kachiko, Pruvan had a hard time not to suggest doing so right now. He was anxious to go meet her as fast as possible, but he was equally anxious to stay with Hannah for as long as possible. She was practically considering him a friend, which was something he wasn’t willing to let go just yet.
This is why he was overcome with such an odd mix of excitement and confusion as Hannah suddenly offered to blend her shadow form with him. He stared at her hand dissolving into the shadows as he let what she had just suggested sink into him. She was suggesting something no one had ever tried, or wanted to try for that matter, doing with him before.
The results could reach from bad to catastrophic, there was no telling how she would react to his being, nor was there a way of telling how he would. A blending of their shadows could equal a blending of their minds, which could render one of them mentally mute, or worse, kill one of them. Though Pruvan wasn’t one to fear death, the fear of killing his newfound friend was one far more powerful. One that drove even him to a state of reluctancy towards the idea. Not to mention the fact that, once blended, they might find un-blending themselves a task more difficult than expected. For all they knew, this was a permanent commitment.
Though as he stared in Hannah’s eyes, his reluctance couldn’t help but ebb away at the sight of utter fear in her eyes for whoever was coming for her. And though he did wonder who this person was that could inspire such fear and drastic measures inside of her, he didn’t care for it that much right now. He stared her dead in the eyes as he let his mind blank and silently analyzed the situation. If there was any hint that she’d die from the process he would’ve sensed something by now… Though the scent of her death could be clouded by the uncertain future revolving around what might happen. And even then, there were fates other than death which were equally unwanted, if not worse.
Then again… He blinked and tilted his eyes ever so slightly. He stared intently at Hannah, silently hovering in midair for a long time, deep inside his thoughts. Finally, his shadows came a little closer together as he moved closer towards her. Several streaks of them bound together and reached out from within the mass at Hannah.
”… Alright.”

Gods only know how long the two stood their in silence. Hannah let him have his silence tho. It was a lot to think about. She was asking a lot of him and knew it. This all could end every badly for both of them. But something inside her screamed that she needed his help. That she had to have his help. And that he would keep her safe just as she would for him. It was the pull of kinship that drew her to him. A closeness that was almost alarming seeing as how she had just met him. But even those facts couldn't stop whatever was taking place between them. It was if it was destiny. They both needed a friend. And when this was all over she would indeed take him to Kachiko. Even if he said no. Pruvan needed to enjoy the pleasures of life. In many ways it was those simple pleasure that had kept her going for so long. It helped to keep her sanity in check. Hannah couldn't even picture what grief he hide from the world because of it. Because no matter what he said about understanding it...there would always be a hole there. But even before she could think that out more he answered her. ”… Alright.”The words forced a gasp past her lips. " Really....you want to help me?" Loyalty. How could she ask anymore of him then what he had just given her. There was no question in her mind now that no matter what happen she would take him to Kachiko. Looking down at the enchanting shadow that reached out a soft whisper breathed past her lips. " Pruvan...". For the first time in a very long time she was scared for someone else. A friend. What if she hurt him once inside. What if they canceled each other out sucking what life energy fueled them dry. Shaking her head softly Spider knew there was only one way to find out. Raising her head till there eyes met Hannah smiled softly at Pruvan. As her body slowly started to fall apart misting gently into the shadows till there was nothing left but a shadowy fog. It was hard for her to keep a human figure in this weaken state. But quickly she pulled herself together floating closely to him. With out her solid form the words seemed to float on the air. But the emotion behind them never faltered in it's strength. "I will not let anything bad happen to you. I promise." There was more behind those words then she said but then again she really didn't have to say them. The moment they came together he would be able to see the meaning behind them. Nothing inside Hannah could be hidden from him. In this form her walls would be down to him. But nearly untraceable by anyone else. Reaching out with her own shadowy form Hannah body seemed to speared and creep along the curves of his shadows almost in a petting nature. Till with out a second to react her shadow melted into his. In a breeze like manor. Spider had expected perhaps some pain or maybe if nothing. But it was more then that. It felt...it like a hug to her. A hug that took up her whole body in a protective way. It was warm and welcoming. Course she wasn't sure how it was effecting him tho. Because even though she was well aware he was all around even in her Hannah hadn't totally figured out how to communicate with in like this. Go figure it seemed simple enough. Yet she couldn't make the words out in her mind. It was at that moment she figured out why she couldn't. Because yet again her body and mind were opening up to him this time more like a flood gate. Unstoppable. It unleashed everything that she was to him. The good the bad the pleasure the pain...everything. But most importantly it showed him whom she was running from. A powerful man...someone she loved so much at one point that she would have given him the world it's self if she could have. He was her light at one time. The only light she had never shunned from. But now...all that was replaced with fear. Pain. And failure. He was the father of the child she couldn't keep alive. Not to mention he left her...for a very long time it would seem. How that all worked out with the pregnancy was odd tho. It was if the eggs in her body sat dormant for a very long time. How weird was that. But then again she wasn't your average person so it couldn't be a surprise. But the point was were ever this man touched her memories there was utter sadness, and fear. Fear for what he would do when he found out she had lost their child. The mans retribution of what he would do sent this powerful woman cowering in fear. "He was such a proud man..." Hannah's words whispered softly all around him as she found his shadow half with in herself. Gently leaning into him as if hugging him. Everything about her soon purred with the energy of a woman ever essence of woman was engraved into her core.It was sensual and tasted like sweetness. It was alarming at first that her body was reaching this way to him. But it couldn't be stopped it was how the half of her acted when it blended with someone else. As if cowering from the memory of this man she quickly changed her thinking so he wouldn't have to lingerer on her pain any more then he had too. "Pruvan...your darkness is beautiful." Once again she seemed to lean into him more for comfort from the torment. Letting all who he was seep into her own body. Finally see the man for whom he really was behind the shadows. Or at lest what he remembered of that man. "Thank you...."
