Etzam sat down on a fishing dock. He was the only person to be seen for ways away. Not far from him, there was an old stone house, durable, yet deserted. He had discovered this place months ago, and took time to sit and think here. He had searched an empty bit of desert for days, but found no remedies or enchantments to get rid of the demon in side of him. Needing to stock up on supplies and get back to civilization, he started to come back and came across this peticular spot once again.
Etzam stretched his arms and leaned back, looking at the sun's reflection in the water. There were clouds and a slight breeze as well. He frowned as the breeze seemed to play with his shaggy hair pulling at it here and there. Etzam sighed. Maybe I should just focus on how to live like this...I've found no cure so far and who knows if there's any. He leaned until he was on his back, considering the options he had.
I'll just have to learn how to better control myself then.... He decided. Etzam knew he couldn't keep aimlessly searching. Life couldn't just hand lemons when they were wanted. Etzam almost smirked at the thought, then sat straight up again. He noticed some pebbles by him and picked one up that seemed flat enough.
Etzam held it back, then flung it towards the horizon. It seemed plopped into the water. He hadn't skipped stones since he was a kid and his older brother took him out to do so. Etzam bit his lip almost hearing his brother laugh and tell him, "C'mon Etz! Didn't I teach you better than that?" He looked up, knowing that it was just a thought. He took another pebble and fiddled with it in his hand, then threw it with more perfection. This time it hit the water three times before sinking. He sadly smiled.
