 - well, it is based on the old one, as I'm sure you can tell. You may use whichever you like. ^_^ I don't mind either way, it was just something I really wanted to do, a contribution if you will, to offer to a nice RP community. |

Does there exist; perhaps a even more detailed map (with >1 town and area maps etc) or do I make up towns/areas as I go along?

Pretty sure you have the freedom to make it up as you go. This allows for a much wider variety of characters, histories, and interactions.

Yah i see what you mean by the freedom of creating the world yourself which is fairly important to RPing.
On the other side of the argument it can always be helpful to have a little background information on the general areas and the like.
For instance, when your posting your character entrance into an open RP, you tend to have no idea what the creator has in mind. It makes it sketchy to say
"Mr. Whiskers wipes his brow of sweat as he trudges through the Dermun Desert, not far from the nearby town of Kittyville. As he raises his head, he spots a lone figure in the distance."
When in fact the creator of the thread wanted to have a stark and desolate story where the starving adventurers are stranded in the desert, far away from any civilization, including the quaint and homely town of Kittyville.
Edit: left out a space in "for instance"

You can add in other towns and villages as you like. Tamasha is only there because it is a major city of trade in Valear. |
