Name:Zul'Ras (Zul is a title given in the forest troll community to honourable members of their clan.)
Age: 596
Race: Forest Troll
Occupation Shadow Hunter (Shadow Hunter explanation at end of profile)
Physical Description:His muscular and scarred body reveals a past filled with gruesome conflicts. Altough muscular, Zul'Ras has long body that is very flexible. He has an incredible body heigth, even endwarfing a full grown man when bending over.
He wears a wooden mask with stripes of red paint which covers the features of this tall troll, making his face a fearsome and expressionless one. Long, colorful feathers cover the shoulders of this veteran's simple leather armor, and he holds a weapon of ancient design in his clenched fist.
Personality: Zul'ras is a haughty and confident troll who enjoys tormenting weaker foes. When facing such opponents, he engages them in melee and avoids wasting his spells or the use of his class abilities.
Zul'ras, however, is no fool, and he quickly changes tactics if he misjudged the strength of an enemy. This shadow hunter never hesitates to charge an opponent, but usually uses hindering spells and abilities before doing so.
Zul'ras also employs spells to boost his own strength or that of others, provided he has time to cast them before battle begins. When battling in larger conflicts, he fights wisely and patiently, waiting for the enemy to come to him and preferring to use his healing powers to help as many of his comrades as possible.
Spells: Altough his spells can be powerfull, Zul'Ras can't use them unless he had time to prepare them. He needs atleast 10minutes to establish a link with the Loa.
Hex spells are the voodoo spells a Shadow Hunter gains trough the dark side of the Loa. Alotugh some of them are powerfull, they can be dispelled by any magic user. Also they are just illusions.
Hex: Weaken (Weakens the targets physical strength)
Hex: Blind (Decreases the target's eye-sight from blurry till complete blindness)
Hex: Shadow Pain ( A hex that inflicts tremendous pain on the target, it puts also the target in a trance where it can see Shades Of Zul'Ras)
Bijous are small trinkets carved out of wood or stone decorated with a gem. These are spells that doesn't require the Loa as it uses the gem in the bijou as a medium but they can be only used once. Also their usage should be carefull calculated because they require alot of energy of the user. Zul'ras can't use two bijous in one battle. Normaly are there just 3 types of bijous but Zul'Ras devoloped one of his own.
Gold bijou: Unleashes the power of the Lao Shivervallah the Tiger Primal. It blasts of a destructive energy wave that takes the form of a tiger.
Silver Bijou: Creates a Shade Of Zul'Rak. These can't be seen unless under the Shadow Pain hex. They don't do damage but they tap of the target's mojo, wich is the energie supply for voodoo magic, and transfers it to Zul'Rak. Those who don't use voodoo magic don't suffer any ailments from this
Green Bijou: Summons 4 spirit serpents of Hethiss, the Snake Primal. They just can attack one time each and then disapear. Their poison can paralyze the limb they have bitten.
Black Bijou: This one is the bijou that Zul'Rak created himself. He almost never uses it because it strains the body and he might faint in the process. What it does is brining the Loa spirits to this plane. They appear like black whisp-like creatures. Altough small a simple touch of these beings invokes pain at insane high levels.
Healing Spells are the spells a Shadow Hunter gains from the Light side of the Lao. Its just as it sound. They heal. Altough for these he doesn't need a connection with the Lao. But it doesn't mean he can heal everything. It has it's limits
Weaknesses: So altough his spells can be destructive, Zul'Ras can't use his hex spells unless he has a connection with the Lao. Bijou spells are very powerfull but he can only use it once and his body has to restore itself before another one can be used.
History: (His history how Zul'Ras tells it, he doesn't speak the common language very well so Zul'Rak has some sort of an accent.(It also makes it more fun for me to RP ;D))
So long ago. I still remember lik' it was yesterday. So long ago, da land of me people was one of da biggest. We did not have big palaces like 'da humans now or anything fancy. It was da simple life, we lived in tents. 'Da only big structures we had was da temples for Loa, 'dem was our primal gods. Sometimes it was not da easies' way to live but we wer' happy.
'Till tha day came. We, trolls, weren' an agressive people but other' were. Da elves an' dere allies came to drive us out. we was outnumberd. Then it was our task as da shadow hunters to protect our people. We ask our gods, da Loa, to lend their strenght. Helped us they did. But afta' many years of fightin' we were still driven out. My people was forced out of them own homes. We hid in tha Selkia forest. We still hidin' after all these years. But wese da trolls. We neve' give up, we neve' forget. We neve' die. 'Dis is our land, if 'da elves want to stay, they will stay for we will bury them there.
So basiclly said the forest trolls had a peacefull life untill the elves and their allies took of their land and forced the trolls into Selkia forest. This caused a hatred towards elves and the trolls still hold a grudge, after all those years.
Shadow Hunter Explanation:Of the highest authority of the jungle trolls are the shadow hunters, masters of voodoo magic. Their spirit powers both heal and curse, walking the line of dark and light in hope of saving the future of the jungle trolls. The dark gods will channel themselves through the shadow hunters when they use their ceremonial rush'kah masks.
Like other practitioners of voodoo, shadow hunters deal with the darker aspects of the spirit world. Unlike witch doctors and members of other professions associated with this ancient faith, shadow hunters claim to develop a special bond with voodoo spirits called the Loa. Able to channel the essence of some of these extremely potent beings - and often acting with their blessing - shadow hunters gain special abilities only the Loa can grant. As they grow in experience, the shadow hunters' bond with the Loa strengthens and their connection to these powerful voodoo spirits eventually gives them the ability to curse and heal at a whim.
Brave practitioners of rituals and dark rites, shadow hunters tread a cautious line between darkness and light. Often misunderstood but always respected by those who have witnessed their eerie powers, shadow hunters rely on faith in the Loa and the ability to communicate with them. Through the magic of prayer and ritual, a shadow hunter spends a lot of time maintaining the particular relationship he shares with the Loa.
The shadow hunter's craft originated within jungle troll society. Altough some trolls has taught voodoo to others deemed worthy of the ancient faith. They also taught the shadow hunter craft to a few special individuals who shared a passion for the faith. Some orcs have since then become skilled shadow hunters, but the vast majority of members of this class remain jungle trolls. Shadow hunters may be members of any culture and society, but most are part of the troll tribes. Their intrinsic connection with the Loa and their strong faith in the traditional religion of the jungle trolls make shadow hunters veritable paragons of the faith. Thus, most jungle trolls view shadow hunters as the sacred keepers of their ancient beliefs. As such, shadow hunters ensure that the Loa continue to bless their people by maintaining the age-old traditions and strengthening bonds with the the powerful spirits.
Traditionally, most shadow hunters remain in their homelands, providing sound counsel to tribal chieftains and warriors as well as lending a hand in battle and during other times of need. Today, many shadow hunters roam the world in search of adventure while seeking to further their faith as well as the interests of their people. In olden times, shadow hunters donned special rush'kah masks when performing ceremonies. As they travel throughout the lands of Valear, many shadow hunters wear these unique ceremonial masks to cover their features and inspire fear in others.
Roughly spoken, shadow hunters are former hunters who have gone deeply into the arts of voodoo and Loa. However, they have not forgotten their hunting skills, which makes a shadow hunter very dangerous in combat. They can stand far away from their enemies while throwing weapons at rapid speed, track down enemies with ease, and also heal themselves and allies. Shadow hunters can even use spirit snakes at the enemies. Of all trolls, shadow hunters are the most feared. The traditional shadow hunter weapon is a Fel Glaive, a long, double sword (with a blade set on either end of the handle)
