The monk, with his sword in its sheath, kicked up a stick, which was just as tall as he was, from the ground. He looked down at the dog, although the typical, goofy grin did not show on his face. A small wind blew by and his jugs of wine clanked against each other. “The emperor from my kingdom has sent many of his imperial guards after me,” He told them both, as he looked over the hill. He spun the stick around at fast speed. “Hmm, I got a new staff…It won’t last but at least it’s something.”

Airkhasil nodded and casually scratched her neck.

"The thing is, little one. If they should find us, I want you to go, get the others and run. That way they won't go after you. The Bone Stealer and I shall take care of it," The monk explained. He petted the dog on the head and gazed on at the valley's enchanting scene. He handed the dog a small biscuit and looked back at the burning village. Personally, he was kind of getting of the smell of burning wood. The bodies also seemed to stink the place up abit.

Airkhasiel just stared into the horizon, her black fur blowing with the wind, she understood what she had to do and closed her eyes to enjoy the soft breeze on her face.

A part of me really hopes they do come. I could do with a bit of sport really. But what about you, monk? You look a little apprehensive at their coming. Any misgivings?

The monk grinned, being banished he could commit some sins if he wanted to but he felt not to right now. Although he's already ate meat. "How's this. who ever has the most kills by the end of our journy together, wins," The monk said.

The harsh rasping sound that passed for his laughter wheezed from Vor'lekar's bony chest. I do enjoy a good challenge. Why not? It would be nice to have some motive for killing. Makes it seem more satisfying. Vor'lekar stood at full height. He could taste the mixed emotions in the air, a delectable thingytail of psyche and feeling. Turning his head back to the monk, his permanent grin seemed somehow wider. Let the best killer win.

The monk grinned as he reached into his robes and pulled out a strange weapon. There was a curved blade on the end of a chain, Similar to his roped weapons. He also pulled out two small, metal chop sticks, that had been sharpened at the end. He nodded to the bone stealer's comment and looked into the distance, as a good few imperial guards came through the trees. "Dog, run." He said.

Raising himself to full height, Vor'lekar let out an unnatural growl. Fear was his favorite weapon, and only an enemy immersed in dread was in danger of becoming another "skin", but his claws worked just as well. Backed by his above average strength, armor was of little protection. As the first guard came through the trees, Vor'lekar jumped back, hiding in the surrounding greenery. Why don't you go ahead and take the first few? It's only fair. Heheheheheh.

Airkhasiel saw the strange beast run off but she wasn't about to leave the monk on his own. She looked into the monks eyes with a concearned but determined look, these people helped her now it's her turn to help them. Airkhasiel sniffed the rotten air, the creature had resorted to nature...her greatest ally. Airkhasiel could smell that thing from a mile away and growled in it's direction.
