Name: Nazam
Age:10589
Race:Obsidian
Physical Description: i158.photobucket.com/albums/t118/vermoens/ObsidianDestroyer.jpg
Description:A giant being of living stone. It has a lower body like a powerfully-built feline, with a pair of great black wings. Its upper body is humanoid, with a shriveled, lich-like face containing lion characteristics. It wields a pair of unusual ebon morningstars in its foremost limbs. They are specially made out of obsidian. The flesh of a Destroyer has the appearance of obsidian, hence its name. When an Obsidian Destroyer stands still, it fools people into believing it is nothing more than a large statue. An Obsidian Destroyer enjoys wearing crowns and other ostentatious headdresses.
Born from the mystical transformation of an obsidian statue, this strange magical beast is drawn to mana. Because of its appearance, an unmoving obsidian destroyer can easily pass itself off as a statue as long as it keeps its eyes closed. It can thus fool people into believing it is nothing more than a harmless piece of decoration. Most obsidian destroyers enjoy wearing crowns and other ostentatious headdresses that make them appear regal. An obsidian destroyer almost always has see invisibility active. Since it can always see the auras of spells and magic items as its enemies approach, the creature makes good use of its greater dispel magic ability, frequently using it on a target as its first offensive action. Though not a graceful flyer, an obsidian destroyer attacks from the air, targeting the weakest-looking opponents first. If its enemies flee before it gets a kill, an obsidian destroyer pursues the slowest target relentlessly until it renders him helpless
Personality: Calm and wise unlike other of his race. Obsidian's are mostly aggresive and dangerous. But Nazam resembles more a scholar. He rather avoids battle and have a conversation instead. Nazam has a dislike towards weapons and aggresive people. Altough this Obsidian is someone that will help someone rather quickly, he is rahter distrustfull. This is because most people don't like his kind.
Powers
Shift: This is a non-combat ability. Nazam shifts into a human form. The skin is created with magic and the obsidian flesh is hidden beneath it. If someone would cut him they will see the obsidian material.
Drain Mana: Because Nazam is made out of stone brought to life he doesn't have his own magical energies. So before he can use any of his own magic spells he needs to drain the magic of his opponent. Nazam doesn't drain all magical energies of his opponent. Just a small bit is enough for him to create more.
Summon Mana Fiend: Demons made out of mana(magical energy). When Nazam has drained the magic of his opponent he can form these in living creatures that follow his command. Nazam can take back the mana of these creatures by completly draining them thus killing them.
Turn to Stone: This ability doesn't require mana. Nazam's body turns completyl into obsidian, turning him into a statue. He can't be hurt in this state neither can he move.
Elite Spell: Shadow: Shadow Storm: A more powerfull spell. It creates a dangerous storm filled with shadow magic. Lightning crashes down, powerfull enough to rip the earth open. Nazam is unaffected by lightning because he is made of stone.
Elite Spell:Fire: Hellfire: Opens a portal to the plane of fire. Huge waves of fire burst out, like a vulcano, wich consumes the land and burns everything in seconds.
Elite Spell: Obsidian: Mark Of Nazam: When the target of this spell is killed, it will crumble into small obsidian chunks. After that the body will come together again as an obsidian statue and flesh starts to regerate again, turning the target back into the state before it was killed. This can only be used on recently dead bodies.
Weaknesses: Nazam's flesh is made out of obsidian and because of that very hard to damage, both with phsycal might as with magical. But there are some weak points. The shoulders and the ankles are the only one, these parts are less sturdy because the shoulders move all the time and the ankles supports his heavy body. If the shoulders are struck his arms can get jammed for a small period of time. If the ankles are struck, his feet could slip away from beneath him and make Nazam fall down.
If Nazam gets out of balance and falls down it is almost unlikely he'll get up quick by his own because of the weight of his body. Also Nazam has no magic energies of himself, so he has to steal it from another magic user before he can cast thus rendering his spells useless against someone without magic affinity. still his physical might is not to be taken lightly. Also elite spells are very tiresome and only one can be cast in a certain period of time. If Nazam casts an elite spell, he can't cast another for 4 hours.
If someone really sought to destroy him then there are two ways. The hardest way is to dispel the magical core, that functions as Nazams hearth, in his body. But one has to be a mage to do this first and it has to be done from the inside. The second and more easy way is shattering the small gem, wich supports the magical core, in the back of his neck. If his magical core or this gem is destroyed, Nazam will turn into a lifeless statue till someone else imbues him with magic once again.
History: A time so long ago that eventhe most ancient elves have troubleto recall it. A magician called Avec sought domination over Valear. He didn't want to hire an army because they could betray him. Avec did something everyone thought was impossible. He found a way to create life in stone. Thus the Obsidian race was born. The first desgins were sloppy and mostly failed in combat. Than after long years the first obsidian fighters were born called Anubisaths . Statues of incredible size and might resembling the god Anubis.
Though imbued with minimal intelligence, the colossal warriors proved to be highly effective killing machines. And the invasion could begin. Avec's armor charged trough the land, the anubisaths destroying everything on their path. A lone Anubisath often smashed trough a whole legion of Elven soldiers. Then the forces of Valer found a way to destroy these statues, with magic. Soon the anubisaths didn't prove to be any threat and Avec was quickly pushed back.
Right before the night Avec seemed to lose the war, he created a new obsidian type, called Destroyers. And the first one of these was Nazam. The destroyers seemed highly effective against the mages. Altough the Destroyers were unqiue among their obsidian brothers, Nazam was even more special. He had the ability to further develop his skills without the help of Avec. And also it seemed Nazam was more disloyal than the others. It seemed he had his own will. Avec started to distrust Nazam, suspecting him of high treason. And he was right. One night Nazam charged at Avec and smashed him beneath his morning stars.
After that Nazam said against his Obsidian brothers that they were finaly free but it seemed that only Nazam had his own will for now the obsidians followed only Nazam. Saddened by this, Nazam hid the obsidians in a tomb deep under the Dermun desert sands to maek sure no one could use them ever again. Now Nazam travells Valear, teaching on his almost uneinding wisdom gathered trough the years
