Name: Rune
Age: 20 years old
Race: Human/Unknown
Physical Description: Rune is a height of 6"2, very lean as well. She isn't very muscular at and anyone who looks at her would simply think she didn't have much strength. Her hair is a dark brown that reaches down her mid-back. However, Rune's hair is parted into two braids which are nearly always pulled to the front. Her eyes are a brownish-yellow with thin pupil causing her to be able to see a good bit of distance away from her. Her skin is a light tan with only three scars marring the color on the back; scars are a whitish tan. Her tail is a bit thick but not that long; it is also a light tan color but doesn't have any spikes or anything of that sort. Rune's teeth are a tiny bit sharper then the average human's; made it easier to eat meat, whether cooked or raw. Her clothes are very light weight seeing as they are made of cloth. She wears but a simple shirt and pants; both a dark brown color. Rune would have worn shoes, but found that shoes hinder her speed so decided against wearing them. A light weight quiver is also another item on her but does nothing to her speed.
Personality: Rune's personality is a loyal yet independent. If there is a leader near her, Rune is known to listen to the leader well and obey the orders without the slightest argument. Seeing as she learned about the type of....'monster' she is like, she decided to follow how they act in her semi-human form as well. Even if people looked at her strange and what not about her behavior, she'll take it with stride. Rune's independence comes from when she's not in a group and doesn't have what you call a lead alpha or leader as others call it. She is, however, very calm and laid back. When in a dire situation, she doesn't panic or freak but handles it the best way she can, whether a winning or...losing situation; though she best prefers a winning one. Her lack of talking can happen from time to time seeing as how she's not really used to talking or interacting with people that much.
History: It is understood that, even if time or history has changed, there are some narrow minded people in the world. Sadly, Rune was born into a family and place where her appearance caused the utmost trouble. Her mother's name was Alice, who was born into an average type of family, and her fathers name was Galen, a wealthy merchant. However, Alice had a secret which Galen never knew....the moment Galen had met Alice, he thought she was beautiful. Alice, had also fallen in love with Galen, but, she was of a demon....no monster who had mastered the form of human. Deeming that Alice wanted to spend the rest of her life with the human, she decided to never tell him her true race until she was sure that he would accept her for what she was. They married and lived for three years together without any problems....the dark secret still kept secret. When an event that was supposed to be joyous and full of cheer happened, Alice had mourned and worried instead....she was pregnant. Galen was ecstatic at the thought of having a child while Alice tried to comfort herself saying that maybe the child would be more human then monster.
Though Galen had said such terrible things to Alice, he didn't kick her out to the street but simply ignored her very existence. Alice instead focused on raising Rune to be a daughter that would catch Galen's interest and come back to them. She worked on raising Rune up to the age of seven years old when things took another worst turn. Alice and Rune were in the library of the house working on Rune's studies.
Rune soon had to have strange markings on her to stop her from certain death. Her mother, Alice, applied them on with ease while taking the utmost care not to mess one up. Even though it took awhile for the marks to be applied, they started to sink into Rune's skin and ease any pain she could of had...also guaranteeing her life. After a while, Rune had stayed under her mother's care for seven more years, making her fourteen. Sadly, her mother, Alice, went int a....bit crazy and started to blame Galen's death onto Rune. She called Rune horrible names....among them were monster, despicable creature, disgusting, conniving witch, etc. Rune was soon kicked out on her own while people didn't trust her the way she looked. Even though she was fourteen years old, she managed to get a few odd jobs away from the town her mother was in. This allowed her to start saving up money to survive. Hitting the age of fifteen years old, she met a kind old woman who told her stories of the old and had no fear of her. Rune stayed with the old woman who taught her much knowledge and added onto Rune's intelligence.
Later on in her age of fifteen, Rune started to practice the art of the bow and long range combat. Hard as it was, she tried to teach herself by practicing long hours while also learning from the old woman. After spending two years with the kind old woman, Rune set off to be by herself once again and to travel. She ran into a man named Alan who trained her even more with the bow. Alan basically took Rune under his wing and trained her to be like guard, he didn't even care of her appearance. Rune stayed by his side, protecting and carrying out his orders, until she was nineteen years old. Alan was struck by a terrible disease causing him to die and also making Rune by herself once more.

Galen was ecstatic at the thought of having a child while Alice tried to comfort herself saying that maybe the child would be more human then monster.
It hurt and felt as if she were going to die, but she heard the encouraging of the two ladies around her telling her not to give up. Was this really worth a child? This disgusting pain to give birth to another life was terrible....Alice will be damned if she ever did this again. With an agonizing scream ripping from her pale lips, the pain started to slow and a small wail bounced off the walls of the room. Alice sunk back into the comforting pillow behind her with relief that it was over. Now all she wanted to do was to see her child, to see if her child looked like a human so that everything will be okay.
"She is so beautiful, madam," said the midwife with a soothing voice while holding the child.
"She is a girl?" asked Alice with delight and throwing out her arms wanting to hold her baby," Give her to me."
"Yes madam," the midwife said in a soft tone while smiling at Alice and handed over the child.
"What shall you call her?" asked the maid girl who had helped with the birth.
Alice didn't say anything at first as she looked at her beautiful little girl. The little baby looked almost exactly like a human baby....however, there were three tiny scars on her back. Alice didn't worry too much about the scars, she was sure that it was going to be fine. She'll simply tell her husband that an accident had occurred during the birth. Looking at her child with warm, relief eyes, Alice responded," Her name shall be Rune...always with protection and power." The other two women in the room watched with happiness in their eyes until something ruined everything. Her little baby girl, Rune, opened her eyes....but instead of the forest green eyes her father had, they were a hauntingly brownish-yellow; a demons eyes. The midwife gasped at the sight of the eyes while the maid girl screeched in horror running out of the room. Galen came running in to see what was wrong, to see if his wife was alright and so was his child. Galen immediately came to a halt at the door staring at the child in his wife's hands. No, that was definitely not his child.
Upon seeing Galen's face, Alice quickly started to speak of how it's not a bad thing. Words upon words came out of her mouth in a panic to soothe Galen, to make him understand the love she felt, and the torture of giving birth so they can to have a beautiful child. The words came to a halt and the color of her face turned a deathly pale when Galen said in a chilling tone," That is not my child and you are not my wife." Tears poor from her eyes while she clutched her baby daughter to her as if to give protection.

She worked on raising Rune up to the age of seven years old when things took another worst turn. Alice and Rune were in the library of the house working on Rune's studies.
Alice sat on a padded cushion chair near the libraries fire with Rune sitting on her lap. Her daughter had grown quite a bit up to the age of seven. A tail had started to grow to represent one of her forms while Rune's teeth started to sharpen and the scars had grown a bit bigger on her back. Her form was very skinny and too lean for a child of seven to be. Her skin was a light tan causing her brown hair and brownish-yellow eyes to stand out. Rune was in a light blue dress that ended around her knees if she were to stand up. Alice gazed at her daughter with a bit of worry and warmth, she would have to start doing a spell so that the forms don't kill her daughter. Also to keep her as human as she can get to please Galen. As if knowing Alice was thinking about him, Galen entered the library with the slam of the door. He looked angry mixed with a bit of fear and resolution while holding a gun in his hands.
"Galen...," Alice said in a whisper while her eyes locked onto the gun knowing what he came to do. She felt her heart break even more then it already was inside. Snapping out of her gaze from Rune shifting in her lap as the little girl knew something was wrong. Alice ran her hand through Rune's hair, soothing her as she does it. She soon stood up holding Rune to her and then turned, putting her child down on the chair. Alice soon faced Galen, who watched her with wariness while starting to aim the gun at her.
"You are both disgusting creatures," Galen said with a bit of malice in his voice.
"We are your wife and child," Alice said patiently with her eyes trained on the man she loved in front of her.
"No...Never," Galen said with a tone of finality.
"I see," Alice said sadly,"Then let me not make a mistake this time." She moved very fast forward that Galen couldn't even comprehend her speed. A loud tear sounded in the room as Rune sat in the chair watching with curious and wide eyes. Alice had turned into a form of a raptor that was attacking Galen with a fast speed causing blood to covering much of the floor while the body of Galen slowly starts to disappear. The gun that was held now laid on the floor looking as though it were never touched. Alice soon was done with her attacking frenzy but stayed in her raptor form. Yellow eyes met with smaller brownish-yellow ones causing Rune to automatically know who she was. The raptor Alice moved quickly over to her daughter with clicks on the floor from the larger claws on the feet. She gently bit the cloth on the back of Rune's dress and picked her up so that her daughter was hanging in the air. With speed shown earlier, they were both gone and not seen in the village again.
