The creature seemed to think and calm down a bit. It spoke and then submerged itself under the waters. Deraj didn’t take this as rudeness. He thought that perhaps it needed to be in the water every so often. He lifted his boots and considered. These are probably heavy enough. And he began to walk into the lake to the point that he was complete immersed in the water. It wasn’t like his lungs exactly worked anymore. It might be easier to continue conversation with this confused creature on its own terms.
It had seemed bewildered and confused. He knew he was guilty of lashing out of folk when they woke him up in a strange place. It wasn't too long ago that some foolish adventurers met their untimely end at his hands when they opened his tomb a few hundred years ahead of schedule.

The creature easily swam about the water, circling back over to him. Eyeing him a moment confused, it was an air breather but could hold its breath a few hours at a time. crouching low, claws sunk into the muddy bottom. Such a small lake wasn't the proper habitat. Kurner needed an ocean or thick river. Though speeking under water wasn't a strong ability for it really, soon eyeing a small boat that approached. Down here there were many wreckages many ships and corpses.

Deraj saw that the creature was uncomfortable here in this lake. He also saw the wreckage and aftermath of carnage long since passed. This was indeed a large lake but Deraj was amazed that so many met their end here.
“You are a stranger here too then?”

He nodded rumbling, risking to speak, "I remember much deeper and endless waters.. we nested near warm shores.." he was content to the thought relaxing and taking his gaze from the passing ship.

It tore its gaze from the boat. This relieved Deraj. It may be people coming to hunt down the beast that had slaughtered their fellow man. At least the creature to which he now spoke would not go on another murdering spree.
“So you do not recall how you came to be here?”

He shook his head, "no but it chews at me something important.." he stood strait so his nose broke the surface allowing him to take in a breath of air. Ducking as anouther boat passed nearby, the netting still tangled his tail even binding one of his back legs to its tail. Anouther reason it hated the humans, he got trapped in the nets pften when hunting the small bearly filling to him fish.

Deraj saw the netting as it stuck to the creature. “Let me help you with that” And with the mere gesture of his hand, a corpse rose from its watery grave and cut the net loose. Deraj was amazed that the things rusted saber still had an edge. As soon as the deed was done the corpse went limp and fell to the depths.

Kurner turned towards the corpse, growling low, cautious and unsure of what just happened, but wiggled free of the netting. Soon gesturing on to the shore. he simply needed time to soak and relax. The wet sand would be enough to keep its skin hydrated really.

Deraj laughed as he watched the creature growl at the corpse. Once free, the creature gestured back to the beach. Deraj was a little wary of this idea, lest those on or near the lake saw the beast and attack but he walked out of the water anyway.
Once ashore Deraj asked,"So what are you called?"

He wasnt to threatened by anyone really, he'd outrightly kill them if they came nearby. Though he had his morals, he usually bypassed children. he settled down on the sand and eyed him a moment, woundering if he should give him his name. Soon enough he grunted, "My name is Kurner... I actually reside from a world called Shasysoral... im confused to where I am now..."

Deraj had never heard of Shasysoral. “You lay now on the shore Lonea Lake. However, I doubt that helps much.”

He growled low and nodded, "No it does not..." He takes a moment, looking off to the side, distant. Than hissed, "I remember, there was a storm, it rained many days... I was washed up a ways on land and didnt know where the main source was..." he sighed some, "Must have gone the wrong way... was to tired to move on from here..."

Deraj listened to the unfortunate being. It was hard to follow, as its language seemed a bit choppy and broken. He supposed that he would be the same if he were to plop on another world and try to interact with the locals. He had no idea as to what he could do to help this poor creature.
He had his own affairs to attend to. This rotting flesh wouldn’t preserve itself. To make matters worse, he would have to evade other humans until he managed to make some kind of perfume to again mask the stench of his own decomposing body. He was angry with himself for just walking into the lake. He was wet and smelt like fish now on top of death.
As he wrung out his cloak in frustration, he spoke with the water dweller. “Is there anything I could do to improve the situation with you?”

The beast grunted, "Which way is the sea... if a storm happens to hit here again I can atleast try to make my way back... instead of running out blindly" he growled some, he'd be the litteral term of a fish out of water.

"The sea is to the south of here. I would summon a storm and merely flood the lake if all of these villages weren't here. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help."
Having said this Deraj turned to go.
