“Don't trick me demon!"
"Leave this place... leave my friends in their graves. Then the animals won't attack you, too..."
He could only let out a sigh. He wondered what Vexxus made of this scene. He wanted to laugh himself but it was too volatile a situation. He had to choose his actions and words carefully. It was difficult to take this mess serious when he considered how removed he was from all of these mortal concerns.
It is a shame. Here I am on the cusp of the revelation of the potential of my new freedom and I can’t even enjoy it. I want to laugh. I want to dance… and here is a vulnerable girl who is only beginning to realize how naked she truly is.
It disturbed Deraj that it was so difficult to put himself in her position, to remember what it was to be weak, innocent, and at the mercy of forces he could not begin to comprehend.
What the hell. He let out a hearty and obviously good-natured laugh. He then spoke in a joking manner.
“What wonderful hospitality. You bring me here, quite against my will, with intention of desecrating my corpse only to demand I take my leave when your friends begin to take an interest in my presence. I’ve asked nothing of you. Am I such a horrible guest?”
He continued but in a much more serious and apologetic tone. “In truth, I had no intention of disturbing your cohorts. I’ll put them back to rest if you wish it.” Then Deraj had an idea. “Before I do though, is there anything you wish to say to them or ask of them? This may be the last chance you have or at least for a long while if those stories the priests tell are true.”

Brutos wandered nearby. Sniffing at the air. He smelt food, living and moving. Right now he fallowed the scent. Finding speckles of blood in the snow, he fallowed the drag marks. Leading towards the cave. He snarled low. The noise of wolves got his attention. He stalked in closer. Angled against the cliff face. He wouldn’t see the cave.
Soon once close enough he of course charged out for one of the dogs.

As Vexxus watched and listened, she realized that the only thing the female wanted was to be left alone; unharmed.
“Don't trick me demon!"
"Leave this place... leave my friends in their graves. Then the animals won't attack you, too..."
Vexxus almost laughed out loud. The animals, indeed... She looked at the wolves that were obviously not fed very often, and shook her head. He's not alive, and yet she thinks that these mangy creatures can do him harm...ha.... She relaxed.
Suddenly she heard a snarl; and watched as a Chimera went for one of the wolves.

Brutos could easily catch one of the dogs, grabbing its throat and holding it up. He growled at it as it yelped and whimpered. Ignoring much of the yapping towards his heels. Though soon he noticed the other upset dogs, he raised his clawed foot slamming it down on another. Easily crunching bone but pinning it as well. He blew a wisp of fire at the other to scare it off.
A wonderful hunt! Scrawny but worth eating.
He went back to the meal in his hand. It squirmed and bit at his hand, though it would get no where. He chuckled some, he had his humanity but not all of his sanity. He enjoyed this a little to much. Soon he bit down on the wolfs head. Easily yanking it clean off.

The Chimera began picking off the wolves; even stomping on one that nipped at its' heels. Her eyes widened, and her reflexes came into play. If I defend her "pets", perhaps she will trust me and I can convince her to be in better spirits towards Deraj...Although he could just leave, I would rather her know that he was in honest. Better to make friends than frightened enemies...
She shifted to her dragon form and came down upon the creature, digging claws and teeth into its' flesh. Since it could not see her, she had a slight advantage. However, her massive form wasn't a hard target, whether it was invisible or not.

The beast shrieked out. The sudden heavy force against him and the pain made him drop his meal. Snarling her thrashed about. Eyes flaring he opened his jaws wide a ball of purple light forming. He continued to stagger about trying to get what ever it was off. Blinding groping at the air to grab and dislodge it aswell. That or grab and take aim.
His snapped his jaws shut than open again, a warning shot. The sphere shot a strait beam cutting across the ground and through trees. He was made for as a weapon. Destruction was what he could cause. And had no problem doing it either.

As a beam of purple shot across the forest; taking down several trees with it, Vexxus loosened her grip. Comparing firepower?
Releasing and rising above the beast, she let out a great stream of blue fire landing directly beside it. Then she focused her energy to call forth the surrounding darkness to engulf her form. Attack this.
Something in Vexxus had changed; she was no longer hesitant to show her power, to fight simply because she dared to. A great bestial cry emerged from deep within her and resonated on the ground below.

Willowsong didn't believe her situation. She had only wanted to get through the winter, and seeing how this man seemed dead, where was the harm in eating him? It wasn't like she knew human culture. She had respect for the dead, yes, but he wasn't one of her friends. She'd have buried his skeleton after she and her friends had eaten his flesh.
“What wonderful hospitality. You bring me here, quite against my will, with intention of desecrating my corpse only to demand I take my leave when your friends begin to take an interest in my presence. I’ve asked nothing of you. Am I such a horrible guest?”
"I... I didn't know you were alive..." she stuttered, her knees shaking in panic. If there was one thing she really feared it was the dead coming to her. And not only this Walker, he had turned her cave into an unholy place, rousing her late friends she had buried with her own hands. And now he talked as if she had kidnapped him...
“In truth, I had no intention of disturbing your cohorts. I’ll put them back to rest if you wish it. Before I do though, is there anything you wish to say to them or ask of them? This may be the last chance you have or at least for a long while if those stories the priests tell are true.”
Willowsong gritted her teeth, looking away from the undead. "These aren't my friends... they're your minions. My friends... h-have passed on..." She knew she shouldn't let this Walker speak further. He was a demon, a wielder of unholy magic. It was only a matter of time until ---
She heard one of the wolves outside growl before giving a last yelp before being devoured by a... chimera. Willowsong screamed, looking at the beast before back at the Lich. "No! What have they done to you?!" she demanded, mistaking the chimera for another one of the Walker's summoned minions. He would turn this entire forest into his domain, and Willowsong would be another of his victims.
To make matters worse, a dragon came out of nowhere. A... dragon. Willowsong's eyes widened, as what she knew as home was turned into a battlefield between the Walker's unholy forces. And although the dragon looked less like an unholy creature but more than a friend of light, Willowsong gave Deraj one last fearful glance before jumping over the twitching harpy, and making a run out of the cave, along the rock her cave was carved into, and into the white forest, the surviving wolves and spiders quickly changing their position as they followed the witch.
Willowsong simply panicked, the instinct to survive kicking in as her own stupidity had started a battle between magical, unholy and massive creatures, with her humble domain as their battlefield. Already the first trees fell. For now, she ran as far as she could, with her animal friends accompanying her.

He crouched low snarling towards the new appearance. He stepped from the fire, his own somewhat programming taking hold. He bellowed out challengingly towards the dragon. Though something caught his eye, he thought the wolves were escaping. He opened his jaws firing a beam in front of them. But directly towards Willowsong without thinking. The only thoughts moving through his head is that he was going to eat good today.
Surprisingly he was highly against eating sentient creatures. Though in this current state of survival, food was food. He grabbed the headless wolf where he had dropped it, holding it to his stomach. A second set of jaws opened vacuuming in the corpse than snapping shut. Though as the wolf he stepped on tried wiggling away he raised his tail slamming it down like a club to put it down for good.
He wasnt to worried about the Dragons fire. His armor would atleast hold up against it. Though nor did he have the strength for a full out fight.

Deraj knew he wasn’t making any headway with this woman. His lighthearted jokes and even offering the chance to allow her to fellowship with her friends only made things worse. She jumped over the harpy and fled with most of her woodland brood in the woods. I bet she would be interesting to talk to if she ever stopped being so terrified.
Deraj sighed and bowed his head. Well, if there is any chance of making amends where I may have caused damage, I better let her “friends” rest. With a wave of his hand the skeletal remains of her companions dug back into their graves.
He watched the girl as she fled into the woods so that he could attempt to find her, explain, and apologize later or just avoid her as to not cause her any more problems. Just as he was beginning to feel guilt for chasing her out of her own home and away from all that she owned, Deraj saw a blast of energy heading straight for her. Instinctively, Deraj tensed up and changed his demeanor for conflict. Fearing for her safety, Deraj let a thick bolt of lightning fly out from his arm in hopes that it would intercept the attack and disperse it or at least deflect it.
Then he turned to the crouching beast that had sent the blow. He then saw that Vexxus had quit her hiding and took her impressive dragon form. He was glad to see her again. Deraj knew that she could handle her own but he owed her whatever rest he could manage. He could not begin to imagine the hardships she had endured for his sake. He smiled when he thought of her and might have actually shed a tear of joy if his body was still capable of producing tears.
He felt no remorse in attacking this chimera. If it was merely looking for food, this violence was unnecessary. He doubted that this was a conscious being, or if it was it was doing evil by attacking innocent animals and fellow conscious beings.
Deraj, still standing deep within the cave, held his right arm out stiff. He drew in the darkness about him. The dark humors whirled about him in deafening silence. His eyes glowed with a righteous fury. Then with a voice that was a legion of voices he commanded the felled wolves to arise and seek vengeance. As Deraj slumped over from the release of energy, he hoped that the beast did not digest quickly so that a wolf might eat it from the inside out.

The female fled, and the Chimera stood, ready to attack. So much for comforting her....
Vexxus turned towards her new enemy. She then felt some of the life-giving energy from Deraj; and glanced towards him. He was smiling. She knew then that he was definitely the Deraj she knew before; though now his youth was once again present.
While the Chimera was distracted by the sensation of a resurrected body under its' foot, Vexxus took the opportunity to give the beast a great shove; pinning it to the ground. She bared her teeth, and sent waves of thought hurling through the air.
"Leave this place, or I shall rip the corpse from your stomach."

Brutos snarled some, though when his food began to squirm. He reared his head back upchucking the party digested wolf. Though when caught and pinned he glared up towards the dragon. Growling angrily than shouting loudly at her, quite ticked now. “Why must I go?! You attacked me!” He was very irritated now. As for the beam, it veered. At least kept from hitting the running woman. Though it had drained a lot out of him as well. He felt again too.

"And you attacked these creatures,"
She let out a rumbling growl, then stepped off slowly.
"It seems you are an intelligent creature. I was somewhat looking forward to killing a mindless monster; but I cannot knowingly do such to a fellow consciousness. Perhaps it would do to explain what has happened here..."
She glanced at Deraj. If it does not act hostile, perhaps this shall be easier to settle than I thought...

Willowsong's escape seemed futile for just a moment, as she heard something roaring her way, but the woman just kept on sprinting, her bloodied feet leaving small prints in the snow. Small only because her weight so so lithe, both because of her female form and because of her starving condition, but when most of the blood had been soaked up by the snow, her trails became quite hard to follow. Mid-way through her escape, she stopped, looking back. Nobody followed her yet, but that wouldn't last long, probably. Kneeling down and panting heavily, Willowsong felt over her left arm, which still felt a bit numb. But the venom, whatever it had done to her, must be close to disappeared completely as she could already feel her hands again. Wiping at the tears on her cheeks which started to pose a viable opportunity for the cold to settle, Willowsong sniffed as she grabbed the wolf closest to her and hugged him, crying into his fur for a moment. "I'm so... s-sorry..." she whispered to her animal companions, remembering each of their transformation. Now they were part of the forest, unable to return to their former lives. Willowsong didn't know whether they had lost their minds or whether they were still capable of thinking, but it was nice to feel the wolf she was hugging started to lick her face. Giggling slightly, but sadly, Willowsong wiped her face with her gown. "Look... we need to split up. They can't follow all of us..." The animals seemed to understand, at least most of the spiders started to crawl towards the rocks to find a dark crevace, while the wolves began to walk in different directions. Only some remained to look at Willowsong questioningly, before she enforced her will with an urging "Go!" When her friends finally left, Willowsong sunk into the snow again, picking up the bag of berries she had managed to bring along. Hungrily devouring them, Willowsong discarded of her fur and the leather bag, her ivory frame now naked in the snow. After making sure nobody was watching anymore, she closed her eyes and started to shapeshift. Bones cracking and reforming while her skin started to shift and grow feathers, Willowsong shrinked until there was a black with green eyes in her place. Shaking her wings, Willowsong made sure her fur gown was no longer visible in its place next to a rock, she started to fly up into the trees. Once she had landed on a far-away branch, she puffed herself up and stood close to the tree rump, eyeing her surroundings carefully. It was a shame that she was unable to change the pattern her eyes and feathers always turned out to be, it was like somebody had condemned her to have green eyes and black hair, feathers or fur whenever she transformed. Thus, the black somewhat stood out in the otherwise white landscape, but she trusted that the Demons wouldn't know to look in the trees or even suspect that Willowsong was a shapeshifter.

He snarled, “It was a wolf! Simple food as far as I care” he growled low, snorting a bit and stepping about in the snow, moving a few feet away before laying down. Crossing his arms as well. “Seems I must go hunting once again… I’m not one to re eat my food once its been digested so thoroughly.” He sniffed the air some.
Soon eyeing the animal prints and what direction they took off in. But was also very interested in the human foot prints. Maybe its wounded enough for him to eat. He usually tried making excuses to eat people. He somewhat began to ignored the female speaking to him. Mainly to the words;
Mindless Monster…
He stood up. And if he went unbothered he'd fallow the tracks. Still very hungery. He had quite an amazing scence of smell.
"Now if you dont mind im going to get more..."
