Yua jumped about the trees, her sibling fallowing close. Both excited, today their father was coming home from a war against the other clans. They were on their way to meet up with their mother, she was at the nearby shore speaking with a few of the Ni`Tiou. Close friends and cousins of the Ta`Shion clans. Kurner laid half submerged in the water, speaking with the snow feathered female as they waited for the two young ones to hurry over.
Kurner yawned slightly looking at Terris, “So Sirius is returning? I do hope he comes back before that storm hits.” The clouds above were thickening, slowly blocking out the sun. “I‘m sure he will, he swore to come home today, and you know Sirius he never lies when he makes a promise.” She smiled softly, a loving and motherly tone.
“Mom!” The siblings yelled in unison, hurrying over, one of blue and green, the other of black and red. Terris embraced them both, “My young ones how are you?” The two began talking simultaneously, talking loudly about, what they caught or ate that day. Even over the excitement of their fathers return. They hadn’t seen him since they were babies and just first tree hopping.
Time passed and the clouds grew darker. Kurner eyed them, the thunder was normal but not the red sparks moving through them, and the fact they were turning pitch black instead of grew. Terris and her young ones hid within their den, their clan calling out in their usual magnificent bird songs. Their Alpha soon returning. Yua curled up under a few wolf furs, a gust of wind shaking the branches but also the trees. And soon all hell broke loose.
The Black cloud had lowered onto the trees, ripping and tearing them apart. Hellhoundish beasts ran about the ground snapping at anything they got their teeth on. Yua was barely a few years old at this time, and jumped through the trees with her brother to get away from a winged demon. Theris lunging onto the beasts back and calling to her young to continue on. Though soon everything went white to a flahs of bright light and loud crackling noise.
Terrah now spent her days exploring the new world of Valear. Early years plagued by nightmares, and now as an adult, she rarely remembered it. She jumped over rocks, sticking out like a sore thumb in such rocky mountainous terrain. She was hunting for food. Naturally a predator but also one who picks fruit.

Carthe stopped at the top of a rocky outcropping to get a view of the surrounding area. He sat down, allowing his legs to dangle off the edge of the cliff and threw back his hood. He smiled softly as he felt the breeze ruffle through his hair. Closing his eyes, Carthe enjoyed the moment of peace.
He had nowhere in particular to be, having just finished his latest job, Carthe was able to relax and live on the sum of money he had been paid until he found something else to do that required his skills. He had been headed toward the nearest city to go spend his earnings but was in no hurry.
The quiet air of the mountains had begun to take effect on Carthe as he allowed himself to lay back, slowly slipping into an unconscious state of sleep.

She jumped up onto a few rocks, calling out. She had a few vocal cords, it allowed her to sing in different pitches. Right now she copied the noise of any mountain goats. At least trying to get some food really. When it failed she tried a few bird calls, this worked much better, but her color gave her off to easily.
She’d rush after a flock of birds as the settled, afterwards getting chased away. Away by angry birds peaking and shrieking at her, pulling a few feathers off her. She ended up chased away getting no food from the birds. She picked up some eggs but had dropped them, mountain terrain wasn’t her strong suit.

In his dreams, Carthe was sitting underneath a tree on a blanket. Across from him was a girl about the age of nineteen. She had short blond hair that barley touched her shoulders and bright green eyes that would constantly, catch his. In the back of his mind, Carthe could've sworn he heard the sound of a mountain goat... Carthe smiled as they began laughing about something funny he had said. Then, He pretended to not notice her as she moved closer, but he could feel the blood rushing into his cheeks moving closer as he felt blood rush into his cheeks. He turned-
A screeching bird call shattered Carthe's image of the dream in his mind as he quickly sat up. Startled, Carthe looked around him, wondering what it was he had just heard. Shaking his head and rubbing his eyes, Carthe stood up into a stretch while he hoisted his travel pack onto his shoulders.
Just then He froze, backpack halfway on. He gazed down the rocky outcroppings to see something that definitely did not belong up here in these mountains. He couldn't quite make out what it was he was seeing but it appeared to be humanoid in figure and very... brightly coloured. It was making odd screeching sounds and tripping over rocks as it tried to traverse the rocky surface.
Carthe had to stifle a laugh as he watched it awkwardly attempt to get around. From this distance, it looked like a human so he decided to head down and check out the situation....

( im a fast replier) She growled, jumping and catching a bird, though her feet landed on loose rock and it set her tumbling a few feet down. Slipping over a steep edge and landing flat on her back. She gasped for air turning onto her side. Tail twitching Agitatedly, she looked around for the bird, finding it beside her she smiled, it was at least dead. A meal but it wasn’t a fair gain. To much put into the hunt. She was to tired. She needed to hide, she was to vulnerable to predators out here. And a cornered animal is a very dangerous one.

Carthe continued running down the slope at a quick pace towards the figure ahead. Begin somewhat excited to meet someone out here, Carthe didn't bother trying to get a closer look at the humanoid until it was too late.
Carthe froze. He was only about ten yards away, looking straight at appeared to be a harpy. The tail, the wings... everything was there.
This wasn't good, Carthe knew most harpies were hostile towards humans such as himself. His hands fell to the hilts of the two blood-red, thin longswords he had on either side of his waist.
He just stared, ready to fight at a moments notice yet unsure of how to react.
In the back of Carthe's mind, he was beginning to wonder how he could be so stupid.

(not a Harpy most call her that but she’s not e.e looks it though except no wings) She grumbled, though she soon saw him, bright yellow eyes glinting. Feathers bristled and tail rattled loudly. She hissed baring sharp teeth and claws. She was ready to kill if he came closer, she crouched low, muscles tense, able to flit away if need be as well.
She’d been in this world long enough to know not to mistaken an enemy as an easy foe.

((Yah I read the bio, but my guy doesn't know any better yet))
Carthe began to seriously worry when the creature before began hissing and making hostile noises towards him.
This was a really bad situation, he couldn't climb back up the steep slope without turning his back on this... harpy (he assumed) and exposing himself. Nor could he go forward and risk getting any close. With his back against the hillside, he did have the advantage but he knew that Harpies could do serious damage with their quick claws and gnashing teeth.
Unsure as to what to do, worrying that drawing his weapons would provoke the creature, he allowed his hands to relax off the hilt of his weapons. He knew that if they fought, they would both end up seriously injured or dead.
Putting on a friendly face and his soft smile, Carthe allowed himself to appear as though he wasn't a threat to the humanoid. Just in case, Carthe readied a ice spell he could quickly cast at a moments notice but allowed himself to remain relaxed.
"Hey there, I see we're both in a pretty bad situation, ummm, im Carthe... whats your name?" The words came out of his mouth but he didn't believe his self. Harpies don't talk, they kill, everyone knew that... Carthe shrugged, it was his best shot at surviving...

She studdied him, begining to relax as he did. Listening to him speek though, her back was sore. She could easily be broken like the bird that laid beside her. her tail continued to rattle and she turned, jumping onto the rock, sharp claws digging in as she began to climb and make her way up, though loose rocks gaze way and she landed heavily at the bottom again.
She eyed him a moment. Unknowing of what damage he could do, or if he was actually going to be hostile towards her. Though she took the moment to relax, chirping almost. A musical voice, "My Names Yua..."

Carthe's jaw almost dropped a little at first when the thing actually replied to him, in common language.
Somewhat awkwardly, Carthe attempted to continue the conversation.
"Yua... thats a name you have, it looks like you're having some trouble out here, are you lost?"
Although in his profession most were cold blooded mercenaries, Carthe did tend to have a soft spot for those in need. Much like himself when he was younger. Carthe cautiously edged a little closer to help Yua up from the ground... He held out his hand, wondering to himself if this was going to end badly...

She bristled when he came closer, feathers rising some, they flourished in exotic colors, their tips glistened in the dim shadowy light. Her pupils cutting sharp much like a cats. She was uncomfortable with him approaching and her tail began to rattle softly.
“Why did you fallow me down here?” she chattered some, moving to get up on her own, she knew he fallowed. Not much other reason someone would just come down here like that.

Carthe shrugged to her question. "Just curious, thats all... it was you're bird calls that woke me up while I was sleeping so, I went to go see what it was." Thats when Carthe noticed the scrawny, dead bird laying on the ground. Oh... she must be Carthe thought. Un- shouldering his travel pack, Carthe reached inside and produced a loaf of bread wrapped in thick green leaved to keep it fresh. Breaking off a piece, he offered it to Yua without saying a word. He wasn't really sure what her species ate buy hey, everyone likes bread he figured.

She tenced eyeing the pack as he began to take it down. Bristling even more so when his hand disappeared inside of it. Though seeing the bread she moved in closer, cautious. Sniffing at the air some as she drew in closer. She might have been one blot of color from that distance. but she had dim stripes on her, patterns of spots aswell.
She looked up at his face than the bread. Waiting for any hostile type movment. Stoping only a couple of feet away and sniffing at the air again. Pointing to the food, "What is it?.."

Carthe let himself laugh a little when she asked what the loaf of bread he was holding was. "It's just a piece of bread, wrapped in minnoa leaves, but you don't eat those... Here." Carthe unwrapped the leaves from the bread and held it out to Yua. "You look really , you want some?"

She jerked away when he unwrapped it. Hissing some, eyeing him than relaxing again. Though taking note that it was food, she moved back over nodding. "Im hungery..." she offered her hand out. Than brandished her claws lashing them out, easily slicing a peice of it off, thankfully not cutting flesh. She took the peice and sniffed at it again before eating it.
She made a soft purring noise, tail swaying calmly. Instantly warming up to him now really.
