Is anyone out there?

The elven maiden felt lost in the vast sand covered lands. Her carcass wasn't covered well, so her delicate skin became red with the sun's rays. It hurt to even move. She cursed herself for not covering up. The maiden would wonder to much, because she was alone and had nothing better to do. She wasn't a people person. Sort of never was. Gaze flickered about watching the grains of sand float across the vast lands.

Carcass was carried on by her pillars. She was out of water and wanted to collapse, but for some reason she couldn't. Just over the hill. I can make it Was the sentence that kept running through her skull. Just a little further Gaze swept over the lands again. No one seemed to be around for miles, but she could be wrong. Elizabeth's tired body made it up the hill and just fell to the sand covered dune. A few coughs were released from her oral cavity.What have I done? She thought.

Lids closed and opened over her voids. Sand began to blow around her burnt body. Paw raised and touched her cracked, dry lips. A small sigh was released. Is anyone out there? Her once beautiful voice was now hoarse and raspy. Gaze remained on the sky. Her body full of fatigue and pain. Would anyone come to her rescue? Why had she been so stupid?

Digits reached for her canaster trying to get anything out of, but all she got was a small drop of water. Elizabeth could almost feel the the water drain out of her body. The elven maiden felt as if she was near death. Gaze remained on the sky as she drifted back to her thoughts, and slipping into unconciousness.

A wizard, travelling through the desert on his way to visit a friend in the nearby town... had not expected to see an elven maiden in the desert. Especially this far in, as he approached he noticed it looked as if she had nothing with her but a canteen. "What are you doing...?" He said more to himself then anyone, he jumped from the large light brown horse he rode and looked up at the sun, it was almost evening. The horse could use a break...

He approached her unconcious body, Sage gently picked her arms up and dragged her down the side of the dune until they had reached the overhang that it had made. And with it, some shade. The horse quickly followed and gladly lay down on the cool sand. He looked at her, definatly an elf... beautiful though. He wondering what in hellstooth she was doing this far out. Sage went to a saddle pack and brought of a cloth, he brought a hand over it, and soon it was wet with cool water. He placed this on her forehead.

He began to set up a small camp, he placed a blanket over her body. Then sat by her, periodically rewetting the cloth on her brow with a wave of his hand. As day turned to evening in the desert. Waiting for her to wake.

Just before her gaze turned black, she saw someone coming towards her. A very faint smile crept to her kissers and she was gone. She didn't know that she was being taken away, the maiden didn't even know if he was helping her or not.

The elven maiden lay unconicious until the evening began to fall. Lids flickered open and she slowly rose to an upright position. A drake along with an equine lay before her voids. A small camp fire burned brightly. A faint smile rested on her facials. Thank you, Kind sir for helping me. Lryics spoke out softly and hoarsly. Would you by chance have any water? Lryics were the same has before. Her once tanned skin was now red with the sun's rays. The elven maiden didn't really move, because it hurt so bad.

The faint smile held her facials. She was still weak, but Elizabeth had been dehydrated and near death. The elven maiden just wanted to lay there and do nothing else. Her body ached. It had been a long while since she had felt like this. Keen auds awaited the lyrics of the male before her.

Sage was watching her as he ground herbs for a creame that might help her burned skin, when she finally made some sign of movement. He was glad, it had ment he wasn't too late. When she asked for water, he smiled at himself. He had forgotten that she might like some water when she awoke. Her voice was soft and hoarse. He could imagine what it felt like to talk with such dryness.

"Yes... of course. You'll have to forgive me." He laughed lightly, and set the mortar and pestal down that he was working with. He took the canteen from his place at his side. Then moved closer to her, placing the edge of it at her lips. "Start with a few sips, then I'll give you more if you need it."

The elven maiden watched the drake closely. She wasn't sure what she was working on, but at the moment she sort of didn't care. The faint smile rested on her facials as he brought the water. It was like sweet relief. Thank you. I don't know what I would do without your help Lyrics weren't as hoarse, but it was still there.

An exhausted sigh was given. I really didn't think that I would need someone's help out here, but I guess I thought wrong A small laugh was given. Gaze flickered about and landed on her sun burnt skin. I can't believe I didn't cover up Then again she just had been drifting along, not really thinking at all. Gaze moved back towards the drake. So what is the name of my rescuer? lryics questioned and soon getting closer to her regular tones.

Sage lifted the canteen from her lips and put the cap back on it, placing it near her for easy reach. He nodded when she thanked him, and picked up the mortar and pestal again. He added a handful of a dried herb when she asked his name.

He stirred them in, and the rough powder began to make a creame as he added water. "My name? Sage Fine." He turned his head to her with a smile then approached her. He took to fingers and placed them in the mixture, then began to rub it gently over her skin. It was supposed to be a cool mixture that would take away some of the pain, and begin to heal her skin. "May I know the name of the one I rescued?"

Gaze watched the drake as he mixed the creme. The maiden followed his everymovement curious as to what he was doing. When the mixture touched her burned skin, she felt a cooling sensation and was relieved. A small smile still rested on her facials. His words rang in her auds. I'm Elizabeth la'Retain Lryics cooed. Digits reached for the canteen and took a small drink.

The maiden didn't refuse any treatment he had given her. Gaze flickered towards the fire and flames danced in her voids. So tell me Sage, why are you out here Lryics seemed to dance on the wind. Gaze still remaining on the flames before them. Evening had fallen fast and a few diamonds began to show up in the heavens. Auds awaited his answer.

He continued to rub the creame over her red skin. Using a gentle touch so that she wouldn't feel much pain. She had asled him what he was doing so far out. "I'm traveling... just anywhere I'd like to go." He smiled at her, taking a bit of time to look to the heavens. In truth he wanted to see the world. All that it had to offer. He moved to her other side, and became concentrated on applying the cool creame to her skin.

"What are you doing out here? It doesn't look like you came prepared... the right clothes for the forests and moutains of the elves. But these won't do for the desert Miss Retain. And all you have with you is your canteen."

His words rang in her auds. Gaze was fixed forewards and glanced over at him a few times. A faint sigh was given. You sound like me. To tell you the truth I was just out wondering about. My thoughts were elsewhere and I wasn't exactly in the thinking mode. I guess I should really stick the forests and mountains A faint smile rested on her facials as she spoke.

Gaze flickered up towards the heavens. Gazing at the many diamonds that flickered about. She loved nature, but right now she didn't really love the desert much. At least I remembered my canteen and my sword Digits gently stroked the hilt of the sword and gaze flickered towards Sage. So how far exactly are we in this desert? Lryics questioned the drake at her side.

Sage continued with his application of the cream to her red skin. Then he laughed lightly at her question of how far they were. He looked at her, "We're far enough to be considered about half the way to the nearest town. If you would like to travel with me, I could get you there by tomorrow afternoon."

Sage found himself gazing at the red skin, of her elvish form. She was in bad shape, she needed to get some better clothes then this. He had some material in his saddle bag he could use... perhaps while she's asleep. He looked warily at the sword, though figured if she hadn't used it yet... she probably wasn't going to. "That is of course, up to you if you wish to travel with me Miss Retain."

Auds listened to what the drake had said. Shoulders rose and fell in a shrug. I sort of figured that, but I just wanted to make sure Lryics poured out. Gaze seemed glued to the flames before her. Every so often they drifted towards the drake. Maybe she was still dehydrated. The elven maiden was still tired so that could also be a possiblity.

A smile crept to her kissers. I would very much appreciate it if you would take me to the nearest town Lryics spoke out. Her red skin was still hurting but the creme helped immensely. Even though it wouldn't take long for her skin to heal, it was still annoying to always be in pain. A faint sigh left her oral cavity. Thank you very much, Sage for your kindness. Now, if you don't mind I would like to get some rest Digits reached over and grasped the canteen taking in a few more swallows. Once the drake was finished, her carcass laid back on the warm sand and she quietly drifted off into sleep.

During the night her carcass barely moved. Her thinkbox was off into the land of the dreams. A smile remained on her facials as she dreamt of the woods and other various places that she loved to be. This went on all night, until the sun rose.

Sage nodded, she had the right idea. She needed to rest. The creame would work wonders while she slept. He laughed lightly, he never thought he would have to use that medicine in his life. But now he'd save someone a lot of pain. It was then that he began his task of making her something to wear.

He moved over to the horse, he could have saved himself some steps with magic. But magic was never to be used that lightly. He grabbed the cloth from the saddle bag he'd brought along. Just in case of mending, or some other use for it. He walked back over and sat down, here he would need to use magic... he was not that steady with his fingers. So there he was sitting on the warm sand through the night knitting a light shirt that would at least cover her back and shoulders from the white material.

When he was done, it was to late to sleep so instead he stood, laying the shirt beside her sleeping form just as the sun was beginning to show her light. He walked up to the other side of the dune, and sat down closing his eyes and proceeding to meditate.

The sun's ray's hit the elven maiden's facials. A small smile crept to her kissers as she felt as though she was back in the forests. But it soon faded as she remembered exactly where she was. Back in the horrid desert. Carcass slowly rose from it's resting postion to find a shirt setting next to her. A faint smile was back on her facials as she took and slipped it on. The cream had done it's magic and she no longer felt the burn from the sun's rays. Gaze flickered about in search of Sage.

Not seeing the drake, pillars took her carcass over the dune. There her gaze landed on Sage. Body was taken swiftly over towards him. Good morning Lryics spoke out softly. Gaze swept over the sand covered earth then back towards the drake. Her body could already feel the heat rising and she was still regretting that she had come here. Auds awaited his answer.

Sage's head rose at the sound of her good morning. He was deep into his meditation and being brought out of it so quickly seemed to snap him back into place. He turned his head to see the elven maiden. "Good morning." He said with a calm voice.

With that he got to his feet, standing tall over the sand he made his way towards her. "I'm glad the shirt fit... and it seems my cream worked as well." He whistled softly and his horse rode to them. "We need to get as far as we can, until about noon. When it's hottest. Then we'll have to find shade and wait till it becomes evening again." He reached out and took the reins of the horse in his hand. "Let's go." He began to walk out across the sands.

The elven maiden listened intently towards his words. Of course her voice almost meldoic. A faint smile rushed to her facials as she watched the equine come forth. What a good horse lyrics rang in her skull. Paw raised as she brushed away a brunette lock and tucking it behind her pointed aud. Gaze flickered ahead and began walking with the drake. Soon silence engulfed the two.

You know, many people think I am weak, because I am female lryics rang out but that isn't true. I can hold my own ground She had to break the silence somehow and this was the only way she could find in her mind to do so. Auds listened towards the road ahead of them. It seemed quiet..for now.
