Vexxus walked the streets of Tamasha Village once again. The familiar sights and smells of the street vendors filled her senses. Everyone seemed so...dead. They were so dispassionate about everything. Every action was one that had been done a million times over, and would be done a million times again. Why are they content with such mediocrity?
Her blue coat hung floor-length, and was fastened from her neck to her waist in the front. As she walked, it flowed about her; revealing only one of her black-clothed legs at a time. The collar was tall, and her pristine white and azure hair fell over it gracefully. Streaks of black hair were also visible occasionally, but were usually hidden beneath the other ethereal colors. She no longer feared being noticed, so she walked with a certain grace and poise that could have been mistaken for nobility.
Perhaps I will find someone interesting today. She found a place to sit, and watched. She was specifically looking for someone who dared to go against the mundane everyday life.

James dashed by the bench running as fast as his long legs would carry him. The black leather armor luckily blended well withh the dull colors of the crowd, and he managed to keep his jet black hair from his face while sprinting away. Not far behind him several tall, pale gentlemen wearing armor that seemed to be made of crystal and large swords of the same material. They took chase of him past every vendor and booth that James attempted to duck and hide behind. As they disappeared behind a corner, James peeked up from behind the bench the rather peculiar person was sitting on. "Are they gone?"

Just as Vexxus was about to fall asleep from boredom, a rather dark-looking figure rushed by and crouched behind. She smirked.
"Are they gone?"
Vexxus watched as the men in crystal armor passed by, searching frantically. When they faded out of sight, she whispered without turning around. "They're gone, I believe. But you may want to find somewhere better to hide."

James smiled and sat on the bench beside the woman and put his hands behind his head laughing and catching his breath. "Nah, no way. Elf soldiers? They'll get caught up in something shiny and forget about me for another few weeks." He laughed to himself, his marble eyes glistening with excitement before his face returned to a seriousness and turned to face the woman. "Oh, sorry if I interrupted something. Are you waiting on someone miss?"

Vexxus' laugh rang through the air at the joke.
"I've indeed dealt with many elves...they are easily distracted."
She faced him, and noticed the contrast of his icy blue eyes against his dark hair.
"Well, you could say that I was waiting for someone. Perhaps I was waiting for you." She smirked and raised an eyebrow mischievously.

James rose an eyebrow and pulled his black hair from his pointed ears. "Excuse me? What about ALL elves being easily distracted? Sometimes this big lobes don't catch everything." James laughed a soothing cheerful laugh that filled the air as he smiled at her. "The elven Royal Guard I meant. Not the smartest lot in the bunch." He drew back slightly raising his eyebrow once more. "Waiting for me eh?"

She chuckled. "Forgive me, I mean most elves. We shall see if you are not." Her sapphire eyes sparkled playfully.
"And yes, waiting for you. You seem like an interesting fellow." She rested her cheek on her fist. "So, I see you enjoy a bit more excitement than most here?"

James grinned and shrugged. "Hey, it isn't that bad. And when it gets boring make your own fun. Like so." He laughed and he raised his hand to about eye level. As his fingers started to glow a light blue his attention was caught by two passerbys. One rather wealthy wearing fine jewels and such, the other a down trodden tramp obviously poor and . With a flash of light from his fingertips, the tramp had somehow received all of the mans fine jewellry and a rather heavy pouch of money, while the once wealthy man now wore rags. The tramp ran off, oblivious to how he obtained the wealth as the noble chased him scowling and yelling after the brief moment of shock and surprise at where his money had gone. James rested his chin on his fist and smirked. "Wellt hat will keep em busy for a while at least."

Vexxus was quite amused by the display of humor. She chuckled.
"Creating your own entertainment indeed. So what are you looking for?" Vexxus posed the question she asks all strangers in casual occasions, and prepared herself for an over-zealous speech of some sort from this quick-witted man.
I suppose he is some gypsy or theif. Such is the company of those who favor the souls which choose to venture into excitement...

James leaned back and eyed the woman before making his decision. He could not trust her with his secret just yet, but then again it seemed like she was not one to converse with many, so why would she turn him in? He decided he might as well tell her a little of his story. "Me? Not looking for anything. Being looked for. Trying to stay away from the sparkle squad you saw a while ago. They want to take me back. You see I was formally Prince Tekkarro of the Elf Kingdom Glerinel. Then Father died and Brother went missing. So now they want to take me back and I'm none too fond of that idea. SO If I was looking for anything I suppose my brother would be number one on that list."

"Hmm..." She gave him a suspicious look, then decided there was no reason he wasn't telling the truth. "Well then, this meeting should probably just be nonexistent, right?" She winked, then assured him. "Don't worry, I'm not on anyone's side. I tell no one information unless I am specifically ordered to do so; or if someone innocent's life is on the line if I do not." She gazed out on the crowd.
"I also have a viewpoint which most would be appalled by, but nonetheless I do not believe an act in itself is bad or good, unless it brings harm to someone who does not merit it."

James stood in front of her to obstruct her view making a goofy face in an attempt to make her laugh. He then lightly chuckled and backed away slightly crossing his arms. "Well look at Miss serious here. Which reminds me, I am James Tekkarro, pleasure to meet you." He bowed deeply before rising and smirking. "So whats your story miss dark and secretive?"

Vexxus flinched a little at his jumping in front of her suddenly, then raised an eyebrow and half-smiled.
"My name's Vexxus. My story is...well, it's rather long, and complicated. Are you sure you care to hear?" She chuckled.

James laughed and sat down on the bench once more, crossing a leg over the other. "Sure, why not? It will help kill time and your an interesting enough person. And who knows if the Sparkle Squad comes back around maybe the story will distract them enough for another getaway." He laughed and smirked at her.

"Very well. I shall start with the obvious fact that I'm not from around here. My strengths are magic; specifically shadow magic, and I am also a druid. I have studied the lost art of the Shadow realm, through a great teacher. This teacher also taught me how to take the forms of other beings in the Shadow realm; as well as being able to...allow someone else to take a form."
She glanced toward a sudden noise from the middle of the street, but saw it was only someone tripping over their own feet. They had fallen into one of the booths, and several pieces of armor hit the ground. The vendor cussed.
Smiling at the event, Vexxus continued. "Anyway, my weaknesses are death, and the unnecessary casualties of the innocent. You see, I am immortal, hence I fear the death of those I care about. I also despise those who would end the life of someone with a future of promise.
Some time ago, I met a man who, at the time, was a complete stranger. Here, in Tamasha Village, as it were. I had just come to civilization in Valear, and was rather guarded about my own affairs, but nonetheless we became friends through some uneventful occurrences. He, by no natural means, was also immortal. Thus, we became companions and traveled together for a great length of time, before I came here. He was a great mage, who was...aged, and sought eternal youth. We encountered other magic at a monastery, and ended up getting separated.
Upon the separation, I practically gave up. An order of Knights took me and held me captive. Eventually, I silently devised a plan. They allowed me to go on walks every day, with supervision. I never once acted hostile, nor tried to escape. Until, they let me go on a walk alone. The first time they did, I did not come back. I don't really think they took the effort to look for me, for their job was done. They were to separate us, and that had been almost two years passed.
So, I came here, I unwrapped my sword for the first time since the monastery, and I began slaying demons for a price. I have also done some bounty hunts, but only for convicted murderers. So, you see, my life has been quite long, and that was just the last five years before I came here. Now it's been another twelve, and nothing has changed." She gave a contented sigh, and tilted her head. "I believe we should casually move elsewhere, because I see one of those knights in the edge of the crowd."
