Full Name: Shinen Yatira Rogue
Age: 11 in elven years, though in human years she is 84. She is still child-like and acts as though she is 11.
Gender: Female
Species: Elven Shapeshifter, also the last member of the Kallah clan. This means she is also the last of her kind, no others in the world.
Mother: Jade Lakor Rogue. She is dead, view history for more information.
Father: Shin Mekail Rogue. He is also dead, view history for more information. Shinen is named after him.
Siblings: None.
Allies: She has no true allies though she is easily liked by many.
Enemies: The elven kingdom of Waumpt, the kingdom which consists of the elves that were in the battle with Shinen’s clan, the Kallah.
Distinguishing Characteristics/Personality: Her blue/purple hair which appears to be brown by the raw eyes. It is a magical part of the Kallah clan, her hair holding much energy from her ancestors genetics. A small piece of each member of the Kallah that died resting in her hair. She is very shy, and would appear vulnerable to others as she is easily frightened. When she gives her trust to someone, it means very much as she does not give it very often. This guarantees care, protection, concern, trust, and honesty, amongst other things.
Likes: Scenery, cuddling, warmth, music, family, and love, amongst others.
Dislikes: Ignorance, intimidating people, the Waumpt citizens, and fighting, amongst others.
Habits: She would tend to shy away from people, not really trusting them easily. She’s had it stuck in her head that all people and creatures are out to get her. She is naturally uncomfortable around other creatures, not very accustomed to creatures apart from elves or humans, the only creatures she’d have to deal with in her clan.
Accessories: She would always carry along a small, silver toy horse. It would fit inside her small, pudgy hand. She would never be anywhere without it, usually carrying it in her hand. If it is not in her hand she will carry it in a pocket or a small leather satchel which she wears on her thin belt. The small horse was given to her by a young boy from her clan named Taion. There will be more details in history.
Weapons: Shinen had lost all her powers when the curse had been placed upon her, so she fights with daggers of all sorts. She does not like fighting, though she will if she must to either protect herself or others that she cares about, the ones she trusts. She wears a garter of daggers which will reappear each time she should pluck one from it. She also has a very powerful dagger which would be found under a slip of her pale skin. The dagger would only be used to kill, not wound, for it was made up of air and ice elemental powers. If one was merely sliced with the sword, they would slowly die. If stabbed, it would be mere seconds until death if not immediate.
History: Part one- The Beginning of her Childhood. (( The history is typed in first person, Shinen spoking of as the person.. [I, me, us..] ))
I am 10 elven years old, equivalent to 68 in human years. I have grown up in these ten years with my mother, Jade, and father, Shin. I belong to the clan of Kallah, a very small though magical clan. We are the only clan that consists of elven shapeshifters, no other of our kind can be found anywhere on the planet, through sea and earth. My mother was a wise, gently being. She would be the healer of our clan, connected to the gods and goddesses that my kind would believe in. My father was the leader of the clan, the warrior, as he was strong and courageous while still wise with his choices for battle. I was the princess, in a way the peacemaker of the clan. Everyone would know me, as my kind knew very well about my periwinkle colored hair.
At this point in my life, I would have many more childish features then I would in the future. My hair would slightly poof out, framing my heart shaped face. My eyes would not be the deep blue color they would turn out to be. They were a very pale blue, with a slight twinge of black flecks. The flecks would make the icy, light blue stand out even more so. I had a few spells that I could do as my younger self which would involve my eyes. My cheeks were less slender, a bit pudgy along with my hands which were the same. I was just growing my fangs, only small mounds under my deep purple gums. I didn’t know how to shapeshift yet, but I was learning from a boy named Taion.
One day, during training, something quite sweet and odd happened between my younger self and Taion. We had ended training for the day, him ending the training by explaining to me about my claws. We sit on the top of a small hut, the top a bunch of planks of wood with straw and leaves on top to create a slight cushion. We had climbed up the side of the hut, using the cracks in the wall as our ladder. We sit, my small palm resting on top of Taion’s.
“Shinen, do you see these small lines that look like scars?” Taion would ask me, running his fingertip very gently over the small lines between each one of my delicate knuckles. I stare, the lines barely noticeable as I nod, seeing them. “Well, when you are ready, this is where your claws will eventually pop out. The first transformation you will have will be painful, little one, but there is nothing anyone might do about that. Many nearly kill the elf.. I don’t believe yours will be so harsh. You have a kind heart. The gods and goddesses will rest easy on you.”
I would look up at him and smile, revealing my small teeth as I slowly pull my hand away from his. He lets my hand slip from his own large one, soft and inviting. There is no doubt that I am attracted to him in a way, though I try to hide it, knowing very well that I’m not allowed to make any love connections without permission from the goddess of love, Aphrodite. “I hope what you say is true, Taion. Thank you for complimenting me. I would like to let you know that I appreciate everything you have been teaching me..” I would sigh, peering down at the leaves and straw on the roof of the hut. “It is not an easy task, I’m a curious student.”
“Oh, curious students are the best, Shi..” He would murmur to me, with his smooth, husky voice. He nods, remembering something as he shifts to reach into his pocket. He pulls out a small toy horse, holding out in front of me. “I’ve had this since I was a small lad. I’d like for you to have it. Always keep her close and I can promise you that she will keep you safe.” He reaches my hand closer to mine, taking my hand in his as he flips my hand over, so that it is palm up on top of his. He places the horse into my hand and curls my fingers around it, holding his hand over my own. He closes his eyes, murmuring a short spell, enchanting the small toy in the foreign words of the Kallah language. He opens his eyes, sighing gently as he would smile at me. His eyes dark with a golden tint.
I stare up at him as I slowly slide the horse into a leather satchel which hands on my belt. “What was that?” I ask, somewhat confused as I have yet to learn all of the words in the Kallah language. He chuckles softly, lifting his large hand to rustle my hair slightly. I smile as well, but it is only because he does as I am still curious.
“You will understand soon, little one. For now I must return you to your home in the Kallah Castle. Yes, the big tree,” He chuckles again, lifting me easily into his strong arms then spinning me onto his back. I think about what he has said, then wraps my arms loosely around his neck and my thighs pressing against his sides as I hold myself to him. He hops from the roof, landing swiftly and gracefully on the balls of his feet. He mutters something about a prophecy before bolting towards the large tree that would be known as the castle of the Kallah.
Part Two-Understanding
Taion would let me fall from his back before kissing my cheek and flashing off into a large lit up orb. I smile slightly before turning to walk into the kingdom. The servants flourished around me, but I bite my lip and gently place my hand over my pocket, where the small silver horse is kept. I shake my head, lifting my other hand to wave them away. They flee and I sigh, not wanting to be such a large existence in the clan. I would climb the stairs, towards my parents’ bedroom. I would reach it, and hear a bit of soft chatter inside. This was normal, though the talking was usually louder, more casual. I lift my small, delicate hand and knock softly. As soon as my hand would drop the door would flip open and my mother would be standing in front of me. “Mother..” I would say, smiling gently as I stepped into the room, seeing my father sitting at a table with two other chairs. My mother flashed back to sit on the chair next to her father and gestured towards the chair next to herself. My father’s face appeared grim and solemn, rare for his joyful and kind self.
“Father.. what’s wrong?” I peer at him as I slowly walk to the table with a deep green tablecloth covering it’s surface. I pull the chair out from under the table and stand in front of it, slowly sitting and crossing my ankles. My father would look over at my mother and she would nod at him. I blink slightly, urging him to tell me. “What is it? I’m the princess, I need to protect my people.”
My father would look at me with his saddened green eyes and part his pale lips, “My dear one.. Shinen, you must know the truth of what will be happening to this kingdom in just a few days time. You know of the kingdom of Waumpt, do you not?” He would ask me. I nod, letting out a soft snarl before he would continue. “Well then you must know that our ideas clash with theirs, along with the fact that they have threatened to attack without notice. I have spoken with their leader, Shinen. We will be at war; as well as being the ones to attack. You have prepared with Taion and I know he has taught you well. You will be at the back of the formation, having the strong ice and air powers. The front consists of the close range fighters, such as Rayne. You get the picture. I have made this plan with our elders. This is our fight Shinen.. Our time.”
Part Three-The Battle
My father stands at the front of our grouped clan. Warlocks, witches, warriors, archers, and so many other types of people in my clan would be in formation. The close range fighters first, far range next, and afterwards would be the magical or important people, such as my mother and myself. My father raises his arms, to gain the attention of the Kallah. “My people.. Our time has come to show our strength. We have never fought such a large kingdom. Not many are enlightened of our small clan. Winning this battle will spread the word that we are to fear! We will show everyone who doubts us that we are the clan to beat. We are strong. We are the people of the Kallah, and right now we are going to rush into Waumpt killing anyone who might get in our way as we get to Waumpt Castle and slaughter everyone inside. We will prove ourselves to everyone! Now, go!” My dad would turn, chanting the ancient words of the Kallah as he pushes his hands forward, pushing the gates to Waumpt open and appearing at my side. The clan rushes through the gate, yelling threats in the foreign Kallah language. My dad rests his hand on my shoulder, peering down with his smoldering eyes. “Shinen, if anything might happen.. I love you, my dear. Stick with Taion, stay towards the back.”
I peer up at him and nod slowly. “Of course, father.” He then would turn, rushing after the group and casting spells while he kills the ones who would get in his way. He fights alongside my mother, towards the middle of the formation. I feel a hand on the small of my back, pushing me forward as there is only one line of the formation behind me. I peer up as I begin to jog, meeting the eyes of Taion. I smile gently before pulling a dagger from my garter, letting out an echoing snarl as I would flash my silver fangs. Taion rubs my back before pulling his glowing sword from his halter. He would growl, deep in his throat as he slices the head cleanly off of a Waumpt warrior’s head.
A small group of warrior’s would notice that I am the princess from a small diamond tiara resting on my brown hair. They charged towards me and Taion would jump over me, swinging his sword at them. I would rush on, flipping as I plunge my dagger into a warrior’s stomach, killing him instantly as the magic rushes through his body. The dagger I use had been pulled from a flap of my skin, made when I was a baby. The dagger has special powers, killing anyone it would touch.
Taion returns to my side as the castle comes into view. My parents drop to a few lines in front of us in the formation. I stay close to Taion, my side against his as he sends a small calming spell through my body. I look over at him gratefully as we enter the castle quietly. A few seconds pass in pure silence before the knights of Waumpt Castle would surround our clan. They would charge, attacking from all sides. Groans and screams of pain could be heard from both sides of the fight. Most of them, however, would come from the Kallah. I look forward in the formation as I grunt, spinning and killing three knights with my dagger. I watch my father encounter the king with my mother. They fight, all three as the king of Waumpt yells, casting a spell and watching as my mother and father both fall, dead.
My face immediately pales and my knees buckle. Taion looks over at me and then follows my gaze, screaming in emotional pain as he rushes over to me, hugging my side and whispering in my ear, “We have to get out of here.. Now.” I push away from him, running through the swinging swords as they cut deeply into my pale, glowing skin. Tears immediately fall from my face as I drop to my knees next to my parents. My gaze rises to look into the smirking face of the king. I turn to my clan, which consists of only Taion and two warriors.
“STOP!” I yell, my voice carrying through the castle as my eyes widen, tears streaming down constantly. The two warriors fall, while Taion runs to my side. “It’s over..” I whisper to him. He nods, closing his eyes before reopening them, reaching down to wrap his arms around me to lift me to my feet. He does so and I turn to face him. He stares down at me as I turn to face the king of Waumpt. “May we leave in peace.. You have torn our clan apart. There is nothing left and we will never return here.”
He chuckles before looking behind us. Taion’s arm is no longer around me. I feel it drop from my back. I turn to look at him, his eyes blank as his hand now rests on his stomach, his fingers wrapped around an arrow which has been shot through his stomach. He pulls me to his chest as he groans in pain as he brings his lips to my ear. “Never forget the horse.. I will be with you..” With that he would bring quivering lips to my cheek. I shrink under the kiss, his lips cold before he fell to the ground, dead.
I turn to the king of Waumpt, sobs erupting through my lips as I drop to my knees in front of him. “Please kill me, Sir. I have had enough of this madness, now end it.” The king raises an eyebrow, lifting his hands in front of him, to raise them towards me. He murmurs words in his own elven language, shooting a glowing light towards my stomach. I yell in pain, falling to the ground as I thrash and kick. I felt as if my insides were being ripped out of me. My neck stretches, yearning as I looked up at the king, screaming. My veins popped out, bright purple against my pale, sweating skin. The king would bring his foot to my chest, pushing me over onto my back as I peer up at him with my blue, watery eyes. He brings his foot back down onto the ground, sighing as he peers down at me. On my stomach, was now a large gash, across the middle. It was enchanted with a spell, I could feel it as the pain rushes through my purple veins.
His red eyes burn into mine as I look up at him in fear. He parts his pale lips, speaking in a loud, booming voice, “Young princess of the Kallah, I have enchanted you with a curse which will kill you in precisely one human year. You are free to go, and of course you are banned from this kingdom. Now get out, you have five minutes before my warriors will charge you to try and kill you.” He turns away, walking back up a large staircase. I turn my gaze to my three loved ones lying dead on the ground.
“Taion. Father. Mother. I will avenge you.”
