Name: Viper Slate
Age: unknown, although he looks quite young, no older than 20
Race: Human
Physical Description: Viper Slate is human in form with black, shoulder-length hair that ends in blood red tips. His eyes are green, the left eye being likened to that of a snake. He is rather slim-built but by no means fragile and wears faded leather trousers and a coat with a hood that looks like it is made entirely out of belts and other leather straps. Around his waist are lots of empty sheaths that look like they would be meant for oversized sewing pins or knives. His skin is rather pale and sickly but shows no signs of ever being damaged or cut. His fingernails seem almost naturaly blackened and sharpened, and his canine teeth are ever so slightly pointyer than most other people's. He wears large, black leather boots that have three large buckles on the front in place of laces with a snake carved into each one. His over-all apperance can best be described as creepy and gothic, but subtlely snake-like and strangely attractive. He is usualy equiped with a Longsword and a set of throwing knives.
Personality: Viper lives a life of secrets and mystery. His personality is rather morbid and brutal and he kills without a second thought. His deeds of years ago would have made his grandmother spin in her grave. He likes to live on the road, without any fixed place of residence, therefore no contact from people that may want him dead or improsoned. He is not very easily annoyed, but will act the part if it means getting the information that he wants, or the supplies that he needs. He is able to adapt to any situation short of an Apocolypse, making him the perfect bounty hunter or assassin.
History: Viper's past is shrouded in darkness. The only man who knows the truth about Viper is his brother, and he now lies at the bottom of a river with his hands and feet removed and his throat slit from ear to ear. The only person who would have been safe from Viper's wrath was his mother, and she died shortly after Viper was born, and he was sent to an orphanage where he grew up, isolated by the others. When it was his time to live, he took his revenge on the ones who had isolated him by slashing thier throats while they slept, and he left before sunrise.
He spent the teenage years of his life living off rats and birds and out of the pockets of others. One day, a merchant tried to sell him a kind of exotic snake. As Viper reached out to touch it, the snake bit him. He withdrew, clutching his hand, before striking the merchant to the ground and stealing the snake from him. He ran through the streets, staying out of sight until all was clear. He felt the sharp pain in his hand getting worse. He looked down and saw the snake sliding through the bite marks and up under his skin. He looked in horror as he saw the shape slither up his neck, into his skull and behind his eye. He then heard a voice inside his head that spoke to him and it was thankful that it had been freed from the merchant's grasp. It gave him the ability to fight, it gave him lighting fast reations and strength beyond that of average humans. And so, with that, the child dubbed himself Viper Slate and began his career in bounty hunting and assassination. The only thing that the snake that was bound with his mind wanted in return was the blood of the slain...
Abilities:
Ability 1: Enter Snake-Eyes: Viper's left eye transformes into a venomous snake that leaves his eye socket, slithers down his cheek and wraps around his forearm and hand. The snake can attack the way it is, delivering a paralysing bite to the opponent which wears off in a few hours or it may transform to become a katana or spear. When Viper is forced to block with the snake, it damages him directy, but when he manages to draw blood from an opponent with the snake in weapon form, his wounds heal slightly.
Ability 2: Kiss of Death: Viper may coat his standard weapons, not Snake-Eyes, in a sort of ethereal venom that has been known to kill even the strongest orcish barbarian at the slightest nick or scrape. This uses up alot of his energy, so he uses it very rarely and only in dire circumstances. Beings that are strong enough in magic may treat the poison as non-fatal but nevertheless debilitating.
Ability 3: Fangs of a Tyrant: Viper fires a beam of highly compressed energy from his left eye to attack his opponent. The beam is strong enough to pierce steel, but each shot becomes progressively harder to fire off than the last but also gets a little stronger every time. Using this attack is usualy a sign of anger or desperation for Viper as it blurs his vision and deters his concentration.
