The self-proclaimed:
World's-Bestest-Uncatchable-Unbeatable-Most Cuddly-Awesome Thief.
Yes, she's that stupid.
Name: Alexis Lyons (Alexandria Grace Montello)
Age: 17
Bio and description:
A bastard child, Alexis was the product of rape and raised by a family that was she was left with after her real mother died during her birthing. The mother of this family was cold and mean, the father was abusive, but he taught her more to life then she could have expected if raised in any other way.
The first lesson she learned was how to take a hit. A hard one. She was forced to wear long clothes, even during the hotter months, to cover the bruises and scrapes she got from both parents. The second lesson was the most important of them all, that it is OK to steal from people.
She was caught one day in her father's study, toying with the locks on his desk and safe. Instead of beating her out right, which was his first impulse, he was astounded by her lock picking skill, unbenounced to her, she'd successfully picked all ten of the locks with a metal hair bow she'd bent to fit. With a stronger respect for his daughter, he finally showed her his true self, the World renown Quicksilver, a Master Thief.
Taking her under his wing, he began to teach her everything he knew, from tumblers to full on deadlocks, even taking time to teach her non-aggression. While it was good to know combat, the purpose of a Thief is to steal without being seen or heard, but in a tight spot, fighting orientation is needed. While he'd been teaching her dagger and short sword play, she'd spotted her father's hook swords. In a practice match, she ended up stealing her father's sword from his hand, plus his pants.
At the age of sixteen, she'd learned basically, all she needed to know to start a career as a Thief. Unfortunately, the night that'd she was going to shadow her father on a heist, their house was stormed and he was taken into Military custody. As Alexis found out, her mother had ratted him out for a sum of money, and was now kicking her out. Taking her small collection of items and her father's hook swords, she found herself a small home in the slummier area of Central and a good way of income, stealing from the Tax Collectors in the High Rise area.
At the age of seventeen, she received word of her father's murder in prison, his famous name caught up to him, and he was stabbed multiple times. She collected the only thing he'd left behind at the jail, a small locked box. Upon opening the box, she found a small set of solid steel lock picks, a list of High Rise places with low security and hand written footnotes, and a journal that she'd seen him writing in ever since she could remember.
The first page was fresh, not belonging in the notebook. He expressed apologetic words, for his actions that he took upon her, the beatings in short terms. He also praised her for her future career, saying he heard rumors of some of her small time crimes, saying that was the best way to start, reminding him of his youth. At the end, was a small attachment, a will he'd written not even two days before his murder, leaving her the old house and the small estate around it.
Taking full charge of the place, she took everything, the house, the land, and all the needless possessions that her mother stored up, sold them, then paved the land, building a small sanctuary garden with a memorial statue in the honor of her father. A green thumb gardener was hired to take care of the garden for her.
Now she's back on the prowl, slowly building a name for herself and keeping the ever-so-famous Thieving name alive. Quicksilver.
Description:
Despite the best color, Alexis's hair is a black with platinum blonde streaks, which is significantly better than the strong and shiny blonde she had as a child. Tied back in a series of knots, only the bangs are loose and cover her face somewhat. Her eyes are an oddity, given to her by her dead mother, crimson red eyes, a pigment rarity that is surprising to even herself. She's moderate build, well tone and highly nimble and athletic.
She's very kind and sometimes can be quite gullible. most of the time, she acts stupid in order to have herself excluded in situations that might compromise her cover ID. Warm and gentle to all, she won't take no for an answer and is always spouting out inspiring words to friends and random people she bumps into. That's on the outside.
On the inside, once she's steeled herself, Alexis is hard and cold, her personality crumbles and dies away. Relentless and will do almost anything to complete her goal, besides hurting those who don't need to be hurt and killing. She only responds to her Thief name, Quicksilver, while like this. Sharp and moody.
She wears a black jacket with a high collar and low rise, which comes down past her bottom to about mid thigh. The collar hides her throat and the back of her neck, which can easily be clasped and the jacket zipped to provide weather cover. Usually, she wears the jacket open.
A plain Grey shirt with a small decorative trim around the edges and sleeves give off a more girly sense, which fits her personality and hides her other.
A mid length black skirt with white trimmed lace along the bottom edge, not floral. The skirt comes down halfway to her knees and allows great movement and comfortability. Wears boy shorts instead of normal underwear. (DUH!)
High rise laced boot, thick soles that make her an inch or so taller. The soles have been carefully treated with a corrosive material to destroy the hard tread, so not to make noise or leave foot print. She keeps her only dangerous weapon her, a small sheathed dagger, for EXTREME measures. Also, a key for her kit is hidden in her left boot's insole, and a lock pick in the right.
She carries around a medium sized violin case (Square case, not form fitted), which holds her twin Hook swords and her wide array of thieving tools. Locked with a key
(Don't try to get me on this one. The length of the hook swords are 33 1/2 inches, and the biggest violin case I could find was around 35 inches.)
Three Strong Points:
Swift: If pursued or forced into combat, Alexis is one fast runner/fighter, capable of running circles around her target or get away from most captors. Also, she's quite athletic, so she's pretty good at climbing things and getting from rooftop to rooftop.
Hawkeye: As a natural Thief, she has an eye for seeing things that many other people would just look over. She has nearly perfect eye sight and claims to be able to see tiny print that no one else can see on tiny grains of rice. This skill lets her make use of a photographic memory, being able to place everything back in order the way she saw it before she moved or altered the object.
Friendly: To her, unless you make yourself known to be evil, you might as well get used to her buddying up with you and smothering you with compassion and love. A great person to be around and naturally uplifting.
Three Weak Points:
Past: Her past sometimes comes to catch up with her, taking on the family Thief name has drawn the attention of some rather wild mannered people who her father has stolen from. Sometimes, she has to vanish and leave a place before she gets killed.
Thief: As a Thief, she is a natural target for the Military, only going off a her thief name and a weak description, she has considered herself safe for now, slacking slightly in her work.
Non-Violence: She absolute hates to hurt people, sometimes getting herself hurt before she acts in a manner to defend herself. She has various scars on her upper body to prove so.
Weapon:
Twin Hook swords.
Her blades have been purposefully dulled and to a blunt edge, so she doesn't harm anyone when used. Mostly used for tripping, pulling, and other various needs. Good used for disarming and drawing things closer.
Special items:
Father's Ledger: Her most prized possession, this book holds many secrets and great places to hide out in multiple cities, as well as the surrounding countries. Also, it holds more knowledge that she craves for and can be seen reading from this book in trees or in high up archways. Don't try to read the book though, it is encoded in a encrypted key, in case fallen in the wrong hands.
I think that about does it! After some spell checking and making sure I got everything on here, I'm good to go, right?
Oh wait, an Admin need to approve this... -nudge- -nudge-
