Name: Alistar "The Bloodshine Angel" Goldstar
Age: 18
Race: Human/Angelic
Physical Description:
Because of his half Angelic nature, he has extreme good looks. His hair is white and is kept long, reaching down to his waist. His face gives him a kind and understanding look, except for his eyes, which are cold and passionless. His body is neither muscular nor pathetically skinny, but somewhere in between. That is not to say that he doesn't have immense strength.
His clothing style varies, depending on the occasion as well as his mood. Usually he is found in the loose-fitting, dark, cloth clothing that he wears to blend into the night. But he has also been seen battle armor as well as dress clothes, once again depending on the occasion and sometimes occasion didn't matter.
Even though his clothing style changes, his accessories/weapons do not. He wears a cross around his neck, not a crucifix mind you, but more like the Templar's cross. The chain it's attached is gold and silver (one link gold, the next silver), creating a quite odd shimmering quality to it. On his waist he wears a plain bastard sword made of a black steel, giving the sword an evil appearance.
Personality:
Alistar is quite the complicated man. On the outside he is everything that seems to be expected of a man of his heritage as well as appearance. He is charming and kind, helping those who are less fortunate then he is. He has a great sense of humor. As well as the perfect gentleman as far as the ladies are concerned.
His true personality lies deep within. Inside he is quick and cunning, using his false personality to get in touch with the rich and powerful. He cares little about others in truth and everything he does is, in fact, a way to get himself into a higher and better position. Those who see him at his truest, believe of him as completely evil and demonic, but the truth of his behavior is not being destroying people's lives or the world. It's to become an important enough person to control the world. Well i guess that is pretty evil and demonic after all.
History:
Alistar's life began in a truely bloody way. His mother, Kendra, was young at the time of his birth, 17 years to be exact. She was promised off to marry a young merchant named Marsh Goldstar who was expected to reach greatness in a few years, and what better way to assure the families fortune if not by tying the families together. They were married when his mother was sixteen and Marsh was nineteen.
A couple months after the wedding, Kendra started telling her husband of dreams that an angel had descended from the skies and lain with her. Marsh shrugged it off as merely the wishful thinkings of a bored lady. After all, he would be gone from his home at months at a time. He did, however decide to start bringing his wife with him, if not angels, than some mortal man may try to bring himself upon his lonely wife. But when she had become pregnant, it was clearly too late. Marsh flew into a rage, drawing his sword to kill his traitorous wife. Before he could complete the blow, a white light filled the room and when it cleared, stood a man with long white hair, dressed in white armor. His long sword extended to catch the stroke that should have ended the woman's life.
The man introduced himself as Balthicarius, an angelic being. He told Marsh that the child was his son and that Kendra was to be protected at all costs, for Balthicarius's own enemies would be after her life, but only indirectly. With that he gave Marsh a blessing of good fortune and left.
Marsh began to reach aspiring ranks within the merchants guild, by the will of Balthicarius. With his wealth he built a hidden fortress and placed Kendra inside. Kendra was no longer merely the wife of Marsh Goldstar. No, after much bragging to his fellow merchants, Kendra was now elevated to the consort of an Angel. Not a position she was happy with. Her husband recruited her followers as her guards to protect her from those that Balthicarius had warned him of, but unfortunately his antics had risen a new enemy as well, zealots. These overzealous people banned together to take Kendra away from his undeserving husband. They called themselves Kendra's Sword and sent many assassins in to kill Marsh as well as to take Kendra away. They weren't the only ones either, Several other assassins made their way into the fortress as well, only they were after Kendra and her unborn child.
No real battles ever took place, until the day of Alistar's birth. On that day two armies took to the fields in front of the fortress. One were the followers of Balthicarius's enemies and the other the Zealots. The siege lasted for months, long after Alistar was born. In the end, Kendra's Sword was destroyed as well as the gaurds of the fortress. In the end, a small group men stood over a cowering Marsh and Kendra, who was shielding Alistar. Alistar watched as his mother and father were cut down in front of him. Before the men could turn on Alistar himself, Balthicarius appeared and took baby Alistar away.
Alistar was placed in the care of another rich merchant, until that merchant too, was destroyed. As it went on and on until Alistar reached the age of eight. It was then that he took his life into his own hands. During the destruction of another merchant family, he picked up a sword and drove away those trying to kill him. Afterwards he kept the sword, took what money he could find and left, heading into the city. As a young child, no one would take him seriously or even consider him for work. With all of his options exhausted, he left the city and went into the wild.
His father came to him then and taught him the way of the sword. He trained for seven years, becoming an expert in swordmanship, although he never could defeat Balthicarius. On his fifteenth birthday, his father presented to him a bastard sword with an unusual black blade. Balthicarius claimed the sword had been forged a century before his birth, but Alistar found that a little hard to believe. The sword seemed to go with him so completely, that it seemed like it had been made for him.
He stayed there until he reached the age of sixteen, where he came back and began working as a bodyguard for a young woman. He discovered that he could charm his way into the social graces of the woman and before long, found himself as her lover as well as her guard. At first, he thought he loved her, but realised the truth in his actions. It was merely a plan to gain a higher place in society.
For the next year, he became the lovers of many rich women and was introduced during parties and social gatherings. before long he had his own sources and abandoned the seduction of these mere wealthy women and set his sights on royalty as well as the lords of the lands. But these extremely high class people had their own rules to their little game. Although he may look unworldly beautiful, one must first obtain rank to get close. So at the age of seventeen, Alistar became a squire, hoping to attain knighthood, so he could begin climbing the ranks of nobility.
During the first year of his training, he discovered that not all knights were as chivalrous as they advertised. Several used training of the squires as an excuse to bully the young men. It was one of these knights that attempted to humiliate Alistar with a lesson in sword play. However his plan did not go quite as expected and ended with him an arm short. Blood splattering his clothing and face, he stared down at the cowering knight as he begged for mercy and forgiveness. It was not to be, however, and Alistar ran him through. Months After that insident, he was given the rank Knight, as well as the title "The Bloodshine Angel"
