lost in memorys

As the fresh new morning began the shadow of what looked to be of an average young man was walking within the deep forest. The man was in a green hooded tunic with brown coloured trousers that stopped half way down the calf of his legs. The sun glared off the blade of his flambard which was slung over his right shoulder and his arm resting on the wore out hilt. He paused and sighed "Dam lost again" whispering to himself "well might as well find somewhere to rest for abit" as he sets off again. Moments later he come across small clearance with a small waterfall he grins to himself "this will do". Throwing his bag down and thrusting the heavy flambard into the ground as he cups the water with his hands and drinking from the refreshing water.

He looks around to see if he was alone before pulling his hood down to expose his hair and what looks to be swept back horns. He sit's back with his back to the blade in the ground he then reaches into his bag and pulls out a book with the words journal scribbled out. but under neath, in very poorly handwriting was memories. He looks thought the book by flicking the pages, the book was full of sketches and word after word of paragraphs.
He stops at one page with a sketch of a man and taps it three times "i will found out who you are and why your in my head" followed by the closing of the book and been tossed back into the bag.

With a flick of his feet his boots flew off and followed by him take off his hooded tunic to stretch his wings and stood under the waterfall to have a quick scrub up before he moved on as he didn't know where the next town or village maybe. He moved his trousers about abit to free his tail from his belt "wish i didn't have to hide what i am" in sorry tone. After a few moments the snapping of twigs hit his sharp hearing within that in stands quickly locked on to the area the sound came from the man then shouted "what the" before slipping off the rocks into the shallow waters.

Fallon rushed through the trees. No sound escaped from her bare feet hitting the ground. She ran faster than a bounding deer, she was naturally agile. Something she had always been able to do. Running on the soft leaves and moss covered logs was what pleased her most. Fallon came into a clearing and stopped abrutly. In front of her was a pale white wolf, a friend of hers when growing up. Fallon smiled and ran to hug the beast. They nuzzled and played around a bit. Then the wolf went on to run back into the trees. Fallon laughed and ran along. But soon she was getting thirsty and Fallon jnew of swallow waters in the area. She waved the wolf to her and together they went on to the waters edge. Fallon waded into the water, just ankle deep. She bent down and began to drink cupfulls from her hand. Then the wolf snapped a few twigs behind her. In the silence it could be easily heard. Fallon looked around to see if anything or anyone noticed. Then a shadow, a figure of a man approached, and Fallon stared as she crouched on the balls of her feet in the water.

The man up righted himself and shook the water off like a dog would when wet he glanced up to where the noise came from to see a small figure in the water. He stood there gazing at the figure for a few second before deciding to move closer he was complexed and compelled to go closer till he paused. it was a human then looked back to where he left his hooded tunic and wished he had it on to hide his extra features. It seemed that curiosity had gotten the better off him.

he swallowed the lump in his throat and carried on walking toward the figure as he got almost face to face. He noticed the figure was young bare footed girl alot younger then the one's he saw in the village be fore the forest. but then again he was chased out of it. She hadn't moved once not even flinch. he spoke nervously "there's nothing to fear i won't cause any harm" with in that moment a white wolf flow from the bushes, teeth bearing down upon his arm dragging him away from the girl. The wolf clamped down on what it thought would be flesh but bearly piercing the skin. The man flicked it's nose, the wolf was in shock let go of his arm.

The man then got down on his knees to the wolfs level "strong one aren't you, no wonder you want to protect her" as he pats the wolfs head and smiled. the wolf looked confused upon what just happened.

Fallon watched as the figure came closer, she didn't move, just mentally readied herself for a attack. As it got closer she realized that it was a man. But this one was different. It had wings, and horns that swept back just as his hair did. She thingyed her head to the side. She was ready to stand up and to say something after he said that he wasn't going to hurt her. But suddenly the white wolf lept out of the brush and her jaw clamped onto his arm. The wolf began to drag him away from Fallon. But the man didn't even seem hurt, he just flicked the white wolf on the nose. It confused Fallon just as much as it confused the wolf.

the man continued to talk to the beast complimenting and understanding it. Fallon shook her head and came to her senses. She pulled one of her hand made arrows from her quiver and nicked it on the string of her bow. She ran up toward the man and drew her bow. She placed the tip of the arrow against his neck, and yelped at the wolf. It was more of a bark but the wolf then cowered over behind Fallon, and growled. Fallon looked at the man, " What is it you want?" she said not releasing the arrow point from his skin.

With in a blink of an eye the man felt the cold hard steel tip of the arrow against his neck and the growl of a wolf which had gone from his sight. He sighs and smiles and says looks like Am at a disadvantage here twice over, as a big silly grin pops on his face. he look at the young girl and says well i don't really want anything, just curiosity got the better of me as his green piercing eyes look over the girl but she notice him looking and draws the bow back further.

He quickly look back to where his bag and the remainder of his stuff still feeling the hard steel but it didn't feel sharp and looks up to the girls face and nervously ask for her name while rubbing the back of his head and laughing nervously.

As she kept the blade to his neck, she seemed timid and protective. Fallon as never one to be friendly with beings before. Se was a outcast and cmmunicating with anything somewhat human wasnt her. She liked the wildlife, alot more simplier to nderstand and live around. Fallon noticed that the man was different. He didnt flinch or even worry that she held a weapon against him. He just looked at her, and sensing no danger, Fallon released her weapon from his skin. She undrew her bow and tilted her head to the side. He said he didnt want anything, only to no of her name. The girl bit her lip and decided to answer him.

" My name is Fallon, and you?"

She lowered the bow and re-quivered her arrow and spoke so softly that it almost could not be heard by normal ears. Fallon she said and asked for his own name he paused and had to think. "Hoo..lllow, Hollow Star, well that's what gramp's use to call me" looking to the ground and back up to Fallon. he smiled at her "This is the first time Ive actually spoken to another human.... Sense gramp's died most humans fear me and outcast me. Because they think i am a demon which am not" looking at Fallon worried that she might hate him as well.

Hollow felt a familiar pain in his head as blood trickle out of his nose. He wipes it away with his hand and begins to hold his head as the pain spirals out of control "not now" he shouts in pain and collapses into the shallow water. hollows mind was filled with images of his past he saw black thin dragon it was talking to him in a soft female voice that asking him questions which he did not know the answers. My dear child you do have many things to learn to truely understand what you are the dragon said. The image flashed to something else a man standing in front of him in armor holding the blade that he is carrying before he could realis what's going on the man rushed him and cuts hollows face with the same blade the pain of the cut felt more like a burn. hollow shot up out of the sleep like state shouting No.

The man seemed to be rather nervous as he said his name. Hollow Star. Fallon smiled, she liked the name, it was different, just like him. But she noticed something was odd about him also. She could sense that he didnt talk to humans oftn like he said. But neither did she. Fallon listined as he said people out cast him, the did to her as well. they thought she was a wild child and it was rather upsetting.

Suddenly his nose started to bleed and then he fell into the shallow pool. Fallon got scared and pulled him out onto the rocks. His body wrenched and turned and she was on her knees nest to him trying to help. If only she knew how.
"Hollow!," she screamed, seeing him like this was frightening to her and she was rather scared. But it all ended when he woke up screaming.

Fallon layed her hand on his chest, she was breathing hard and was scared for this man. What had just happened she thought. " A-Are you alright?" she asked softly.

Catching his breath an wiping the sweat from his fore head blurry eyed hollow could just see Fallon figure. he could feel her hand trembling on his chest and just make out the words "are you alright" he replied with the shaking of his head "i think so". His vision return with the face of Fallon she was scared almost in tears he puts his hand to her eye to wipes the tear that escaped. "I am sorry you had to witness one of my blackouts" with a concerned voice.

Hollow apologies again for his blackout and try to comfort her as best as he could as this was the first and only time anyone had seen his blackout. Nightfall was approaching fast which hollow nervously asks Fallon if she would like to stay for a while as dark was almost upon them. He gathered up some sticks and pile them into an unlit camp fire hollow licks his lips and spit a small jet of black flame onto the sticks which charred them enough to get an ember going for a camp fire. Hollow stares at the now glowing orange flame he screws up his face and looks at Fallon and asks "you probably think iam strange, you know the horns, tail ,wings, scaring you half to death." as he put on he hooded tunic, he then quietly said "I am a half dragon" and looks down to the ground almost scolding himself "Gramp's always told me to hide what i am as people will start talking and slayers would come. I once told a girl i liked that i was a half dragon, gramp's caught me a scolded me for it. ah I am blabbing on any-who." hollow looks back up to Fallon and asks what brings you out here then? and grins and slightly going red in the face.

Fallon watched as he came too, he said that he thought he was okay, and suprisingly Fallon started to tear up. One fell over her cheek and Hollow slowly wiped it away. It was afull seeing him like that, Fallon wasn't put in many situations like that before. She nods as he apologizes for her witnessing that. She helps him up and he asks her if she would like to stay with him. Fallon nods and calls the wolf off. It dissapears into the bush and runs off. The soft sound of its feet vanishes. Fallon helps him collect firewood and she watches as he spews a flame from his mouth. She stared in awe. Very intriguing to her really.

Fallon then listens as he said,"you probably think iam strange, you know the horns, tail ,wings, scaring you half to death." Which wasnt true at all. She didnt think he was strange. Though in normality, she didnt know what strange was. she hadnt seen many humans of even beings that could talk. Only the wild life. Hollow pulled up his hood and hid his horns. he then continued to tell his story of how he told a girl that he was half dragon and was scolded. He ended it by saying ," what brings you here?" Fallon smiled, because hollow seemed to be blushing.

The girl stood up and kneeled in fron tof hollow. she reached up and pulled down his hood, " I dont not think you are strange, I dont not care what you look like. Please dont hide from me." Fallon brushed her hand across hollows cheek as she brought her hands down , " You are wonderfull just like this." She stood again and went over to sit on the other side of the fire. " I live here actually. In a cave about five miles south west of here. "

hollow pulled his hood up as Fallon calls her wolf off hollow stares in amazement at how she has such a bond with wonderful animals. Fallon move over to hollow and knelt in front of him, hollow looks down quickly to hide the redness in his face she takes down his hood she tells hollow she doesn't think hollow is strange as well looking different. She asks him not to hide from her as she bushes her hand softly against his cheek hollow felt his heart pick up a faster pace then what he was use to as no one has ever came close and show such kindness. He watched her as she returned to the other side of the camp fire as she told him where she lived which wasn't too far few minutes at running speed and the thought of having a place to call home past over his mind.

hollow still in awe at Fallon's actions, hollow stood up and put his arms to his side and burst out saying "i think your cute." snapping out of the trance his eye's widened at what he just said and fling himself on the floor with his head on the ground saying sorry repeatedly. He looks up to she her reaction "i am so stupid" and sit back up knocking his bag and the book he was looking at earlier had fallen out and slide it's way over to Fallon.

Fallon had start to think of home, and how comforting it was to her. Many times she had brought stranded wildlife in there for comfort, hopefully now she posed as comfort for Hollow. She smiled and brought her knees up to her chest.

Suddenly Hollow stood and blurted out that she was cute in his eyes. Instantly Fallons face turned red and she was suprised. She had thought that this human/dragon was interesting and intriguing. Cute as well, but she didnt think that she owuld ever be good looking in someone elses eyes. Hollow then fell to the ground apologizing and saying he was stupid. Fallon bit her lip and crawled over to him. She lifted his chin with her finger and got eye level with him. " Thank you, " she said before kissing him on the cheek. She smiled and sincerly looked happy.

Hollow saw Fallon was blushing as she made her way to him and she lifts his head with a finger and kisses his cheek hollow stared deep into Fallon's silvery eye's. he felt strange like a new fire had lit up deep in his soul he felt the compulsive urge to kiss her back bu as that thought passed he realized he already had. But he hadn't just peeked her on the cheek he found hims self kissing her soft plump lips.

Seem like time had stood still hollow had shut his eye's as the seemingly harmless kiss turn into a passionate kiss. More thoughts came in to his head he worried at the consequence's of his actions as well as had he fallen for Fallon many question filled his mind. He noticed that he could hear someone talking could this be Fallon's thought he couldn't make out anything that was said images flashed before him. It was of a younger Fallon and her childhood the passed very quickly but he caught every moment. he broke the kisses his eye's widened "did you see at ?." The shock of them haven alot more in common was almost like they where meant to find each other, hollow grabs a cotton fleece from his bag and quickly raps it around Fallon in fear she might of seen alot more then what he wanted to and put his arm around her apologizing.

Fallon felt his lips come against hers. They were warm and inviting. She hadnt expected this and she was confused. But instead of letting her mind control her she let her heart. And the kiss changed. Instead of a small peck, it had feeling behind it. Fallon wanted so much more. This was her first kiss. For once in her life she had feelings for another man, and she didnt want this moment to end. But then something happened. In her mind she saw things, images flashing. She couldnt make out what is was, a boy, a strange boy and him growing up.

Hollow broke the kiss, and she realised that he must have seen things as well. "I think i did," she replied, " What was that?" Hollow had grabbed a fleece fabric and wrapped it around her apologizing. She really didnt understand what happened. " Hollow, i think i saw you, as a boy. I-I couldnt really make anything out though."

hollow looked at Fallon as she didn't understand what just happened "i think we just saw each others past." He looks down to the floor "sorry about your mother dieing." he passes Fallon a small book and cups his hands around her "this will help you understand what you saw but before you read it i need to say how i feel before i explode." His face grow red again and stuttered but couldn't finish his last word "i...tthink i l...o." frustrated at not been able to say it head lays back with his arms behind his head and sighs.
