Peace and Quiet

[Aoeclald]

Aoeclald smiled. I wondered if she knew he was a Changeling. Well, she'd find out soon enough.

(OOC: I read Lander's biography and it says it is an elf. Is this character an elf or a Changeling [judging on your panther post before])

He stirred the meat in a pot and then slowly added water and spice. "The stew is almost done. Just a few more minutes. Venison Stew... lovely recipe. Tell me how ya like it, will ya?" he said and began to put sthingyfuls in small tin bowls and handed them around the fire to his companions.

OOC: Jada is an elven girl but is part changling, she can only change into a panther. Lander is her older brother, a hunter. He has no changling in him.

BIC: "Thank you," Jada said reciving the bowl of stew. She ate some and replied, " You are an excilent cook sir," She said with a smile. She continued eating, she had not had a meal this good in a long while.

When she finished she set her bowl down and laid back on the ground. Being full of good food made her tired, even though she had just been sleeping before.

Aoeclald wondered if the newcomer knew he was a fellow Changeling. He could sense some Changeling in her, but she was not full Changeling.

"Your welcome, ma'am. And thank you! Just some recipes I've learned after traversing the wilderness." He watched the elven woman gobble the food up and it made him happy. He was much too vain.

"So good sir what brings you out here in the first place? I would expect someone who cooks as good as you to have there own place. Unless your just a free spirit that likes to travel like me?" she asked him.

She sat back up and eyed him closely, her elven self and panther self where besomming one, she was developing some sort of new skill. She could smell all sorts of animals on him. It was very odd. It was like she could use her sense of smell in her panther form also in her elven form.

she smelled the air silently and tried to picture every annimal she smelled. He had to be a changling. There was no other explination, there were no other annimals around them, and the smell was comming from him.

She ignored her thoughts though, if he wants to tell me he's a changling he will, just as if i wanted to tell him i am on i will. Jada decided to move on with the conversation," I don't believe I got your name sir," She asked.

"Oh, pardon me. My name is Eielm." he replied generously. It was the same name he used for the Assassin and he couldn't lose his guard now.

Aoeclald watched as the woman stared him down and goosebumps rose on his arms. She knew. She had to know. Maybe I should just tell her, but then again, she should find out for herself. It's not that big of a secret, but then they'd know I lie and I keep secrets. He smiled at this thought... they are the cat and my thoughts are the mouse. How fun!

Jada saw his slight hint of fear as his goosebumps rose. What was he hiding? Then she saw a smile creep across his face. So he wants to play games Jada laughed to herself.

"So Changling, how much do you know?" She asked

Aoeclald laughed. "Changeling? What would give you that idea?" he called. The Assassin knew he was one, but the elven girl didn't.

Who said I couldn't have a little fun? he thought to himself.

"And, what exactly am I supposed to know, oh half-changeling?" he called out, eying her suspiciously.

"You wouldn't know I'm a half-changling if you weren't one your self. Why do you lie? I am of no harm to you, especially since i am only a half changling. You know an awful lot i'm guessing since you have to lie to us." Jada called back

[Aoeclald]

Aoeclald laughed.

"Smart elven woman. But the Assassin knew I was a changeling, so am I really lying? Or just playing small mind games?" he said and laughed again.

"I think both," Jada replied with a bitter sweet smile. He was defanitly hiding something and she knew it was only a matter of time until she figured out what exactly his secret was.

Jena looked at them as they fought and stood up, not having touched her food. She walked to his bag and picked it up. Thens he walked back to him and said,"How long have you been a theif?" Her tone was cold and she was on the verge of cutting his throat out.

"A thief? Me?" he said, laughing. "It's not my fault you didn't know sooner. You're an Assassin and it would have been quite easy to tell I had taken them the instant that I did. Apparently you're not as good as I thought." he mocked. He was going to enjoy this. Sound like the good guy, but is really the bad guy. Ha!

He then ran behind the elven woman and whispered into her ear,"I'm not a liar. You have to believe me." while breathing surreptitiously into her ear. A definite persuasive action, hopefully it would have the same effect on her.

Jena appeared infront of the man and said,"Who said I didn't know?" Then in the blink of an eye, she twisted around and unsheathed her sharp sword. "Your head will be nailed to a tree if you do not leave."

"Theif? Assassin?" Jada said jumping up. Eielm as Jada knew him ran by her, whispering he was not a theif. Jada didn't really know the man but she wasn't just going to let the assassian kill him.

"Stop this maddness, take back what he has stolen from you assassian, and you," she said whirling around to face him," need to tell us the truth? Who are you and what is your bussines?"

"What am I? I am a Changeling and my business is to spice up the night. It's apart of my nature, really. I am a good cook, after all." he said, chuckling.

Aoeclald handed Jena the coins back and said,"Better keep an eye on them. You never know when someone might get their hands on your cash." he said, smiling.
