O C C U P A T I O N: Assassin. He makes a living from killing.
M A G I C: Midnight focuses on stealth magic, such as invisibility, and enhanced senses. Midnight is able to become moderately invisible, but not completely. If he were to stand still while invisible, and one were to stare at the area he was in for a short-while, he'd be noticed. Midnight also has enhanced senses. He is able to see longer distances, hear more things, and in some cases smell out people. When focusing, Midnight can hear a pin drop in a loud, crowded room. His vision is just as strong as his hearing, he has vision identical to that of a Great Horned (The animal with the strongest vision.) Basically, if you had a newspaper and put it 50 yards away from him, Midnight could read every word of that news paper.. in the dark. Touch, Midnight's skin is extremely sensitive. He could feel an aunt land on his shoulder while he's wearing three large winter coats. However.. with this pain is greatly increased. A pinch is of equivalent pain to that of a bullet at point-blank range. As far as smelling goes, if Midnight is given something with the scent of whatever he's looking for, he's able to smell out the general area of the object, not exactly pinpoint his target.

B U I L D Slightly muscular build. Definitely not the most muscular man you'll ever see, but not the weakest.
E Y E S: Midnight's eyes a grey.. for no particular reason.
H A I R: Jet-black hair that goes down just below his shoulders. The hair is mostly straight, with a few waves here and there. It is usually slightly messy, but not too messy.
I D E N T I F I E R S: He has a tattoo of an eye on his back, and tattoo of black lightning that starts at his upper right shoulder, and swirls across his entire arm only to end at his middle finger's tip.
A P P E A R A N C E: Midnight's torso is covered by a tight black shirt that has one sleeve torn off of it. Toward the collar of this shirt, and the bicep there are a few white streaks. The area where the sleeve was torn from the shirt is also white. To make up for the missing sleeve, Midnight wears a black glove that goes up to the area just below his elbow. On the arm with a sleeve, Midnight wears a simple fingerless glove. As for pants, Midnight wears tight, black, pants with a few streaks of white toward the heal. On his feet, there are small leather shoes, that make practically no sound when they touch the floor.
L I K E S Midnight finds a strange joy in killing. He feels as if he is freeing the person's soul from their mortal carcass. He believes he's "doing the living a favor, by killing them". Midnight also enjoys drinking, sex (of course.), and night time.
D I S L I K E S Midnight hates most people, do to issues with them in his past. He also dislikes dogs, daylight, heavy armor, and blunt weapons.
F E A R S He may not act like it, but deep down Raine is truly afraid of abandonment.

G O A L S None really, Raine likes life the way it is. After all, he does what he loves for a living, and is paid handsomely.
P E R S O N A L I T Y Midnight is without a doubt one of the most rude people you will ever meet. He thinks highly of himself, and his beliefs. Not only is he arrogant, but he is cruel. He will do whatever it takes if it means money, whether it's killing an innocent, or torturing a child. Raine has done, and will do it all. Despite all of this, Midnight does have a good side. He is definitely a romantic, and is very charming.

P L A C E . O F . B I R T H Born somewhere in the south, but was sold as a slave early in life.
H I S T O R Y (Here we go..)
Born in a small town, Raine's parents were too ill to take care of him. They could not, and would not be able to feed him properly, for they were not even able to feed them selves properly. They would have put him up for adoption, but saw no gain in that. After thinking carefully on it, Raine's parents decided to sell him to a slaver. They traveled to north and sold the boy there. After selling the child, the couple had enough money to pay for themselves, and were able to buy themselves food. While they were celebrating, Raine was being tortured.
Life as a slave was not an easy one, especially as a little boy. He had learned to speak with the help of some other slaves. He often went days, even weeks without food, which made him a very scrawny child. After living as a slave for four years, Raine was eventually purchased, a long with several other child slaves, by an old man wearing black robes. The man took him to the desert, where there was a small camp set up. The second the children arrived at the camp, more men in robes came from the tents, and stared to the children.
The children were confused, and were not sure what was happening, or what was to become of them. The men and robes just looked at each other, and seemed to mumble a few things. "How many do you think will survive?" One man asked the old man that had brought the children. "One, maybe two." The old man replied, before staring to the children. There were ten of them. Boys and girls alike.
The same robed man that had asked how many would live, once again looked to the old man. "What now?" He asked. "Get them started." The old man replied. The younger man nodded, before he and the other robed men grabbed the children by their wrists and began to drag them across the sand.
The men tossed the children into a small empty tent. He had them all lay on their stomachs and toss off their shirts. Then, ten of the men knelt next to their laying bodies, with a sharp knife in their hands. Slowly, each of the men began to carve an eye into their backs. The children screamed in pain, but their attempts to resist were futile. They struggled, and struggled, but in the end, they realized that their struggles were meaningless, and that they had no choice but to endure the pain.
One child however, kept struggling. He kept fighting and fighting to free himself from the grip of the robed man. He pushed his body up, but did not realize what he had done by doing this. By pushing his body up, he sent the knife in the robed man's hands straight through his back, and into his heart. The boy fell onto the floor, dead. The robed man sighed, and dragged the body out of the tent, and into the desert.
After a painful hour, the eyes on the back of the children's backs were finished. The children were bandaged, and were allowed to rest while their wounds turned into scars. The very next day, Raine woke up to the feel of a kick to his face. "Wake up filth!" a robed man yelled, before sending yet another kick to Raine's face. Raine looked around, it was night time. The man had woken the Raine up at midnight. Raine looked around, still confused and was punished with yet another kick to the face.
This time, Raine smartened up and quickly stood up. As he did, the man pushed Raine outside of the tent, where a few other children were standing with the men in robes. What confused Raine was the fact that four of the kids were missing, leaving the total number of kids at five. Raine was smart enough to know not to ask why half the kids were missing, and instead kept his mouth shut. The older robed man, looked around at the children, who were all extremely scrawny. He kept his eyes shut as he spoke. "Feed them, then tomorrow we will start their training."
The men in robes nodded, and put the children into a tent, that had a small table on it. Soon, some more men in robes came in, and placed an abundance of food on the table. The children chomped down on their food, and ate as fast as they could. It didn't take to long for them to finish the entire meal. After eating, the sun started to rise, and the men in robes looked to each other, then to the children. "Time to sleep." One said, as the rest grabbed the children and tossed them into their tents. Raine was confused, but once again decided it was best not to ask questions. He was pushed into his tent, and fell asleep.
The next night, Raine was woken by yet another kick to the face. This time, however he was smart and stood up right away. The man who had kicked him smirked to himself, as he pushed Raine out of the tent. By the looks of things, Raine was the first one up, slowly followed by three other children. One was missing, and the distant screams of this child were heard. He was clearly vomiting. The child must of eaten too much the night before. The boy was screaming, and screaming.
The screams first sounded to be those of an upset child, but eventually turned into blood-hurtling screams followed by a brief gurgle. From the tent where the screams had come from, came a now bloody man in robes. "My apologies master Ken." He spoke, as he looked to the old man in robes. Master Ken nodded, and looked to the children.
"Did you children have a good meal?" He asked. The children replied with nods. "Good." He said, as he looked to each of the children. "Have them do one hundred push ups." He said, as the children widened their mouths. "Go." Master Ken said, as the men in robes pushed the children onto the floor. The children dropped to the floor, and began doing as the man asked. They were only four and were asked to do 100 push ups.
The men watched, as the kids pushed up, and down. The first kid dropped at twenty, and was punished with a kick to the face. "Start over!" The man who kicked the child yelled to the child. The child panted a bit before obeying.
The next kid dropped at 30, and was rewarded by a kick to the face. "Start over!" The same with the next kid, who dropped at 42. Raine was able to tell that he was going to have to start over if he fell, so he kept pushing up, and down despite the pain. One of the kids, passed out. The men in robes slapped him over and over again, but the child would not wake up. The men in robes, sighed as one of them pulled a knife from his robes, and stabbed the kid in the chest.
Eventually, Raine reached 100 push ups, and was allowed a five minute break. He laid in the sand for five minutes, until a man in robes pulled him up and told him to run. Raine nodded, as he began to run. The man in robes followed behind him, constantly telling him to go faster, and faster. At one point, Raine almost tripped, but saved himself and kept running.
Training like this went on for ten more years. In the end, there were only two left. Raine, and one of the girl recruits "Red". It was at this age of fourteen, that they were told why they were purchased and what they are to do. The old man, Master Ken, told them that they were purchased to be assassins. He told them that he has been training them to do this for all of their lives, and that they had graduated onto the next level of training. The stealth part.
The two of them were taught to hide in shadowy areas, to stalk their opponents until they were alone, and to pick locks. This went on for about three years. This time the two of them were still alive, and neither of them died.
After those three years, the two were told by Master Ken once again that they had graduated passed that level, and were to move onto the next. Killing, and fighting styles. They were taught the pressure points, weak points, major arteries, organs, and many other parts of the human body. They were told where to strike to kill, and where to strike to bring pain.
They were taught to use weapons like knives, kunai, throwing stars, whips, poison darts, and other silent killers. They were taught how to get through the chinks of heavy armor, and how to fight using nothing but their finger tips. This went on for five years, and at the end of these five years, Raine and Red had been told that they had graduated, and were now full assassins.
They were told of their duties as full assassins. They were to assassinate hits ordered by the leaders of the group, and would be paid finely. They were also told of the group's history. It was a nomadic tribe of assassins called "The Killer Eye". Their symbol of course, was an eye.
Over the years, Raine had developed a loyalty to Master Ken, and later achieved the rank of "Midnight" which was basically the rank directly below Master Ken's. Red had achieved the same rank, an the two acted as partners.
Red and Raine had a developing romance. The two had slowly began to fall in love. Raine would often leave a black, withered rose in Red's tent, and the two would often go out of their way to sign up for hits together.
Years later, Red and Raine had signed up for the same hit, as usual. However, when being briefed on the hit, Raine was told that Master Ken wanted to speak to him alone, so he went to go see Master Ken.
Master Ken told him that Red had betrayed them, and that she was working for a separate group of assassins, that were trying to be rid of The Killer Eye. Raine was confused beyond belief. He could not believe what he was hearing. Master Ken had told Raine that Red planned to assassinate him on their next mission. He was told to kill Red before Red could kill him.
Raine was heartbroken, and wanted to burst out in tears. He didn't though, he knew he would be punished for crying. Raine simply nodded, and said that he would obey. As the two were sneaking into a castle, Red was crawling in a small empty hallway, and was directly in front of Raine.
"So my sweet, where do you think our target is?" Red asked. When there was no response, she turned around, only to be greeted by a kick to the face. Red yelled out in pain "Raine, Raine my darling, what are you doing!?" She shouted.
"You bloody liar." Raine replied, as he tossed a pair of kunai's into Red's shoulders. Red fell to the floor, barely breathing. "Raine... how could you.. I loved you.." She groaned, as she gasped for air "Lies!" Raine shouted, as he looked down to her. "You're nothing but a traitor.. How could you do this to me?" Raine continued, as he turned away from Red. Red could only barley make out the words "I love you." before dying.
Raine headed back to camp, and walked into Master Ken's tent looking for him. When he arrived in the tent, he did not see Master Ken, but he did see a piece of paper entitled "Dear Ken." Raine read the letter, only to find that he had been tricked. Red wasn't the traitor, Master Ken was!
Raine learned that Ken had planned to take down The Killer Eye all along. He had tricked Raine into killing many important members of The Killer Eye, and that Red was the last one. After finishing the letter, Master Ken walked into the room
"Well." He said plainly. "Now you know my secret.." Raine charged at Master Ken, full of anger. The two engaged in battle, their finger tips flew through the air, and their arms collided with each other.
Their arms appeared to be a blur with the speeds they were moving at. Eventually, Raine sent a kick to Ken's chest, which caused him to fall onto the floor. Before Ken could get up, Raine sent a kick to his face, and quickly threw several kunai onto the man's chest.
Ken gasped for air. He coughed up a few drops of blood as Raine bent down to his face. "I knew I saw potential in you.." Ken said smirking. "Join me Raine, together we can kill anyone who stands in our way!" Raine gritted his teeth at Ken. "You filthy coward, even in the face of death you lie to me." Raine pulled out a kunai, and stabbed it right through Ken's neck. Ken made a deathly gurgle, and his body fell limp.
"I learned from the best."
Raine left that night, never to return. He no longer went by Raine, but by what his old rank in The Killer Eye was, Midnight. He now works as a loan assassin, killing whoever he is hired to kill, no matter who it is, or why he was hired.
S A M P L E . P O S T: It was a dark night, and a large tower sat under the moon. This tower was made entirely out of stone, and had a few windows on the sides of it. On one of the sides, an almost invisible man was pulling him self up the tower, one stone at a time. Slowly, he climbed half way up the tall tower, and looked up to one of the windows at the very top.
He obviously had to reach that window. The man climbed, and he climbed. It took hm some time, but eventually he reached up and grabbed the ledge of the window at the very top. He was careful not to look down, for he knew that he was about a mile from the ground.
He pulled his eyes head up, so he can peak his eyes through the window. There he saw a man wearing red, with a one handed sword at his side. This was clearly a guard. Silently, the man pulled himself up so he could crouch on the windowsill, and look to the guard. The guard stood with his back turned, completely unaware of the man in the windowsill. The man in the windowsill reached to his side, to grab one of the many kunai that were attached to his belt.
Without a word, the man tossed a kunai to the guard's neck, and the guard fell over dead. The man then dove into the room, and hid under a table, as two guards rushed in, seeing the man's dead body. Behind the two guards, came a man in expensive looking clothing. From under the table, the man threw two kunai at the two guards.
The two guards fell over dead, and the man in expensive clothing looked both ways and began to run out of the room. The man under the table, rolled from under the table, and chased the other. The assassin was definitely much faster then his target, and once he was ten feet away from him, he tossed a kunai to the target's back.
The target fell onto the floor, gasping for air. The assassin walked up next to him, and rolled the body over so that he was facing him. "Who.. are you.." The half-dead target asked. The assassin scoffed a bit. "Midnight." He said, before standing up, and slowly walking down the empty hall, leaving his target to die.
