Missing a Target

[Robin]

Robin probed his mind and she whispered, "Think I'm evil, do you?"
She laughed, "I'm not evil, persay. I'm the female death angel."
He looked surprised, "If I was evil, Leonardo wouldn't be alive right now."
She looked at Leonardo apologeticaly and smiled.

[Leonardo]

He gave her the merest arching of an eyebrow as his arms crossed in a mock defiance. As though he could put up a fight against such a strong being. But when her effect on him began to get noticed by his own mind, Saint began to change slowly. Leonardo's face slowly became emotionless along with his stance. Yet his eyes remained ever the window into how h felt.

"Oh yeah?"

[Cadmus Caliva]

Its all the same you still have a dark heart. He said in his mind knowing that she could only hear him. It came as a surpise to hear the voice in his head but just as quickly it went away.

[Robin]

Robin laughed as if to mock him and said out loud, "My heart is not nearly as dark as yours. I don't even call what I have a 'heart'."
She smiled and looked back at Leonardo, "Who knows? I might of spared you?"
She grinned seductively.

[Leonardo]

"Spare me the grin."

His voice came out in a bit of monotone, but his eyes told her the retort was in a teasing manner. She claimed to have no heart, yet part of him disblieved that claim considering how she treated him. The two seemed to be starting a xompetition in who was most cold-blooded.

[Cadmus Caliva]

"The reason my heart is dark...is because those I once fought for turned there backs on me." He said.

It happened all those years ago, he was once well known then he lost and people died. They blamed him and sent him into exile and then he returned to kill them.

[Robin]

Robin felt a tinge of pity, "I'm sorry about that. But you're not the only who has been betrayed by another,"
Robin knew the man was blackened, she could tell. She stood between him and Leonardo for this reason. She didn't really no why her instinct was telling her to do so.

[Leonardo]

If Leonardo had known the exact circumstances, that he had been sent into an exile after being blamed. . . there might have been a reaction. He disliked those who could not abide by what was given unto them & try to improve it. What had revenge earned this Elfen Archer? A darkened heart.

"Betrayal is a twisting force."

Some part of him wished to find a way to purify this man.

[Cadmus Caliva]

"Yes I know this. And others who have been betrayed don't always act the way I do." He said. "But I can't go back to the way things once where." He said.

He looked over the shoulder of the death angel and at the man. "Yes, Yes it is." He said.

[Robin]

Robin tilted her head in a curious manner that was considered adorable.
"You'd be surprised at what others do when they're betrayed or what they're forced to do."
She forced a smile and let it slip.

[Leonardo]

" I suppose so."

Leonardo said before walking a bit closer to Robin, though he was trying to find out just who in the world the elf might have been. Sure he had a name, but that was never much to go off of for someone not still `in the gossip` from his good deeds for others.

[Cadmus Caliva]

Cadmus turned back to the girl and smiled. Had she known something about betrayal then he remembered she could reminds. He quickly formed a thought in his mind focusing just on a leaf of the floor. He had been trained in how to block things from reading his mind. He had even mastered this so he could talk while blocking his thoughts.

"Have you ever been betrayed Robin." He asked.

[Robin]

Robin laughed, "What do you think, Cadmus?"
Robin didn't even try to read his thoughts. She didn't want to know what he was thinking. She also didn't feel like she should tell him the whole story of how she was betrayed.

[Cadmus Caliva]

"I'll take that as a yes." He said.
The wind was starting to pick up and leaves could be heard rustling with the wind. He thought the wind was telling him it was his time to leave. But he wanted to stay to see how this would all turn out.

[Leonardo]

Leonardo more or less stood about six inches from Robin now, watching Cadmus with his eyes. After all, those were all he could use to watch someone. Either way he was prepared to use Vesprtilio if neccasary. Saint had an odd feeling that this Elf would have attacked him had Satan's Right hand not been here.

I wonder if I'll ever get another hug like that again. . . heh.
