(my most basic outline, there is much more to his character that even he may mentally of suppressed)
Name: Holofernes
Preferred fighting style: Magical (ranged) though he has a long elegant sword which he is adept with. He prefers personal kills, but can deal with larger groups of creatures with classical inferno type spells. Human antagonists are normally dealt with through more unpleasant methods of execution.
Hair Colour: None, he is bald
Eye colour: dark black, with a faint hint of purple.
Gender: Male
Age:seems to be in his early 20's but it is difficult to say, he is likely much older than he looks
Personality: quiet and sophisticated. His voice is soft and faintly hissing. He is quite withdrawn, though not unpleasant, though he has a tendency to be moody or brood over things in his mind
In Battle, Holofernes is unpleasant, preferring to paralyse enemies with magic before running them through with his blade. If an enemy has really caught his ire, then he takes pleasure in systematically removing their outer limbs with his blade, or contorting them before leaving them to die.
Appearance: He stands roughly at 6 foot, is unpleasantly thin, and wears a floor length black robe, belted around his waist with a corset made of tessellating obsidian plates, inlaid with a gold pattern of wilting poisonous plants. He is bald, with high cheek bones and arched brows, which are painted on with a black liner. He has long black fingernails, and his skin is the colour of alabaster. He wears a protective neck brace made from the same tessellating plate as his corset, which, while protecting his neck, make him appear like a curious, sloping bird.
History
Holofernes eyes contain a hint of sadness, and, despite his appearance, there is a softness in them. He was the first born son of Count and Countess of a city called Crowe, but fell in love with a beautiful sorceress, from the city. However, the city soon fell to the invading forces of a nearby count, and Holofernes and his family were forced into exile. He set out to search the land for his lost love, but so far has not been lucky. Many years have passed since, and he has all but given up hope. His quest had become somewhat lost along the way, and he began to work with the thieves and assassins. He learnt sorcery and necromancy in his own time, but his magic is unconventional and leads ordinary magicians to distrust him. He has witnessed numerous horrors and has lost his faith in the good of humanity. He will never speak of his past, and becomes hostile if pressed, though may open up if he trusts an individual enough. He now adventures for personal gain, though is loyal to his companions, and somewhat of an old romantic at heart, deep down, though he will never admit it.
