The back alleys of Tamasha were always empty. Vexxus had patrolled them many a time looking for something exciting to bump into, and never was a soul there. A couple times she thought she had heard quick footsteps darting away from her, but even as she followed in haste, she never found anything.

Occasionally, there would be some music coming from the upper floors of the buildings, floating down into the alley and echoing off the cobblestones. Sometimes she just couldn't help herself, and began sweeping across the ground, dancing to the music. Tonight, she did so. Under the glow of the full moon, she danced, her hair flowing freely around her face, the loose cloak spiraling out as she twirled.

Whether she imagined it or not, Vexxus heard something, and caught herself quickly, taking a defensive stance, moving her hand quickly to the hilt of her runeblade. She stood silently for a few seconds, listening. Nothing. Sighing, she continued down the alley, kicking a few pebbles that she happened to come across, sending them rattling over the stones.

Hollow sat upon the a roof of a two stories building staring up at the stars. The sound of light shuffling caught his attention he pears down to the alley below, a women dancing under the moon light sky. He watches for a while as a cat running passed a crossing of where the alley ways meet. Hollow sigh fixed on where the cat went didn't notice a title slip beneath his hand, his body follow in slow motion.

Hollow scrabble to hold on to the edge of the roof as the single title hit the floor shattering like glass, behind the women along with a loud thud of a body dropping. He stand up brushing the dust off his clothing and shuffle the strap around his chest and adjusts the long scabbard on his back.

[Vexxus]

When Vexxus suddenly heard a shatter and a thud, she raised an eyebrow in surprise and confusion, turning around to look behind her. A dark form stood in the alley, the moonlight barely touching it. She saw what she thought could be horns, perhaps, on his head...?

Hm...?

Not knowing whether this being was a threat to her, she kept her hand on the wrapped hilt of her runeblade as she spoke.

"Hello...?"

Hollow look at her, she looked human but smelt different he looks around her before saying something. "Sorry i saw you dancing alittle while ago and i just slipped from up there hope i didn't startle you." as he nervously grins exposing his fang like teeth. Hollow stepped out of the darkness into the light of the moon.

As the moon light struck hollow his feature stood out like sore thumbs. His posture was that of no threat as he wanders passed her and introduces himself as Hollow. Hollow jumps up on to a near by barrel sit on it as if she was going to tell a story.

[Vexxus]

Vexxus blinked at the casual demeanor of the character. When he stepped into the moonlight, he did indeed have horns, fang-like teeth, and other dragon-like characteristics. As he walked past her, she relaxed a bit, letting her hand fall to her side again.

"I'm Vexxus." She introduced herself as well. Not sure what to say or do, she resorted to asking him about the most interesting part about himself. "You're...part dragon?"

Hollow looks down hidding a small smile and answers "it's true i look part dragon... But i have not no human blood in side me evolution missing link to some monster to others." As he talks he looks down both end of the alley way.

"your not what you appear to be either but the main question here is why are you wondering these dismal alleys." he jumps down from the barrel stretches and yawns as he exhaled a lick of flame escaped his breath.

[Vexxus]

Vexxus jumped a bit at the flame escaping Hollow's mouth, but replied.

"Well, it's true I am not what I appear, but apparently the world does not play favor to those who aren't human, and also do not wish to live a mundane human life. I suppose you could say I'm looking for trouble." She chuckled, shaking her head, and glancing around at her surroundings once more. "It's been a long time since I've had any kind of adventure."

Adventure he questioned but thought of the rumors of many mystic items that lurk beneath this village he grins at what treasures could be found. "There are rumors of items that lay underground but they are sealed from mortal men and those unable to break it's seal." Hollow look around to get his bearing and walks down the left alley way his head pops round to look at her to see if she would follow.

"The seal to the underground pass ways are just up here iam guessing you attuned to some magic as u have it's potent aroma." he walks barely ten yards and squats to the ground rubbing the dust off the floor slowly revealing an inscription, faded and old and sealed for a reason.

Vexxus followed as Hollow led, and decided to take a look for herself as to which way he was headed. Fading into the shadow realm, her body began to disappear. She chuckled to herself, knowing he wouldn't be able to see her after that. The chuckle rang through the air, though there was no visible mouth for it to come from, as Vexxus glided past Hollow in her wraith form, her large wings beating slowly, making small "whoosh" noises when they came down.

In the shadow realm, things were forms of black, white, and grey. Anything with magical properties glowed a faint purple, and living beings with body heat as well as plant life glowed an azure blue.

Sure enough, Vexxus could see the sealed passageway, glowing a very bright purple. She watches as Hollow brushes away the dust from the sign, then lets her invisibility fade a bit, so that he can see her transparent shadow form.

The inscription on the passage was in an unfamiliar runic language.

"Do you know how to read this?" She asked.

Hollow begins to answer her questions but pauses as vexxus's giggle still rung in his hear, a ghostly like chill filled the air he looks up and see vexxus's transparent figure. Hollow sighs and answers the question previously "I can read a few words but language is that similar to my own." Hollow read out the words that he could make out four small sentences in total "old as earth, hard as diamond, blood of lava, destruction of city's. this seal could be describing what lays beneath."

Hollow stands up scratching his head rambling what he said under his breath trying to figure out what they mean. Hollows mind quickly drifts of to vexxus's new form " you use magic to change your form didn't you why is it everyone can use magic free willingly. why stuck with the stigma of not knowing what power lurks with in me." hollow fold his arms and sulks like a child.

[Vexxus]

Vexxus listens as Hollow reads the words. Perhaps a beast lives below the city...some creature that was locked away...? She looks up as Hollow addresses her "magic".

"Yes, in a way I used magic...but I'm far from a mage. I'm a druid...which means I have the ability to transform into various things, but I can only take the form of things I've killed and inhabited before. It's a little confusing..." She chuckles nervously, and continues. "But it doesn't come without a price. My energy is drained by shapeshifting and being in the shadow realm. If I'm here too long, when I come out I'll collapse and become unconscious until my strength slowly returns. Same thing if I use too much magic while I'm in the shadow realm. My dragon form is the most draining, though." She smiles sheepishly, and then frowns as Hollow complains about his inability to know his potential.

"It took me a long time to figure out how to do this...in fact, over two normal lifetimes....you see, I'm also immortal." Vexxus gives a look of sadness and pity as Hollow sinks to the ground, sulking. She walks over to him, putting a hand under his chin and tilting it upwards to look at her.

"I will help you find your abilities."

Hollow listens to her words as she explains her position with magic she shows sympathy to toward him. He stare into her eye as she said she will help unlock his potential hollow ponders at her abilities and the fact she is not mortal.

Hollow spews questions one after another at vexxus to which she may not bealbe to answer "You say you have to killed and inhabited forms before you can take there shape and yet you can take a dragons form ?, where did my kinda disappear to?, why was i left behind with my mother?, how come she had to die to human hands?." his heart once up lifted to the fact of help but sank deep like a stone in the sea.

Hollow's sorrows welled deep with in him causing a dark aura around the area, the inscription's and seal marking flickered with in the aura. A single tear fell from hollow face the splash from the droplet echoed as the Erie red turd to a faint blue. The sound of rolling stone came from the left side of them a simple stone stair way was opened.

Vexxus began answering questions when Hollow asked them. "The reason I can change into a dragon is because I once had to kill one...it was imbued with a dark magic and was bent on taking my life, so I suppose you could call it self defense....I assure you I never kill anything without good reason." She explained, but as Hollow continued, she stopped. Vexxus watched as the dark cloud surrounded them, and Hollow's tear fell onto the passageway.

The passageway opened, and revealed a staircase. Vexxus knelt by Hollow and smiled sheepishly.

"I know you have a lot of questions....things happen that not everyone can explain...but I'll do my best to help you answer them, if you let me." She looked at Hollow sympathetically, waiting for his response.

Hollow wipes his face with the sleeve of his tunic "Sorry seems I've let things get on top of me, I've not lived as many live times as you have tho my psychical age iam still but young, child like even." He stared down the newly opened stair well he smile at vexxus "You have a too kind of a heart and i thank you for that shall we go look for what lurkers down below."

Hollow flicks a pebble down the stair well bouncing of each steps till a splash, his face changed to that of confusion as he flick another down the time with no splash. "For a minute i thought that the passage way where underwater but thankfully they are not but does smell very damp down there and no light so visibility will be very poor." Hollow steps down sat down in the well he begins to breath deeply before giving up "The air hurts to breath flame so that can't be our source of light." He looks to vexxus to see if she might have an idea of how they would be able to seen down the passage ways.

Vexxus watched as Hollow threw a couple pebbles down the stairs, and heard them as one splashed, and the other skittered across stones.

"Hm..." She pondered, thinking of how they could light their way. "Well, I can see, because of being in the shadow realm...I might have to explain that to you a little though, haha." She chuckled. "But for now, I could probably use a little magic and borrow some wood to make a torch." She turned to the alley, looking to the end, seeing the barrel she had seen earlier. Vexxus walked over to the barrel, tracing a rectangle, then placing both hands over it, whispering some incantations. The wood began to shift, moving, writhing as though it were alive. It settled itself into a cylindrical shape, one end smaller than the other, and rounded on the bigger end.

Vexxus then cast another spell on the wood, causing the handle part of it to become white, and the top to become red. She returned to the top of the stairs and motioned for Hollow to approach.

"Light this, it'll burn brighter and longer than any regular wooden torch."
