History:
The elf-children ran through the meadows, laughing and shouting, but one particular elf-child sat under a tree with an open tome in his hand. The pack approached him, and one girl exclaimed: "Acharndir, play with us, pray! You can be the Ranger!"
The solitary child replies: "Leave me to my books and I'll leave you to your games."
Somewhat hurt, she leaves, but not before reading the title of the book Acharndir was reading, Thus spake Zardashet, a well-known apostate writing. She reports it to the Elf council, and he is subsequently ostracized from the clan. When he comes of age, they thrust him out.
He spent his early years as a knight-errant, serving the courts of regions he happened to stumble upon. His calculating mind earned him a place in many fiefdoms as an adviser.
