The village, wich was standing in a clearing in Selkia, wasn't very large neither were the buildings. If you could call them buildings. Small tribal tents gave shelter to the trolls who were taking shelter for the coming storm. Rain poured down from the sky and turned the ground into mud. Forked lightning tore up the heavens and bathed the forest in a ghastly light for a second. A small troll child sought comfort in its mothers embrace while it was trying to hide from the storm.
Jin'Thul was sitting in his tent, The Jin was the troll warchief, the tent was reckognizeable because it was much bigger than the others and was decorated with ornaments and troll paintings. Two big muscular trolls were standing outside guarding the entrance. Alotugh every home in the village were tents there was one large building that was built out of stone. It was the Temple Of The Lao. A large aztec piramid construction overgrown with moss, vines and tree roots. A large staircase carven out of the stone led to the shrine wich was on top of the pyramid.
Zul'Ras was sitting in his own private tent. It was the smallest of all. The outside was decorated with strange inscriptions and shrunken heads hanging by their hair. Severel spears were standing in an improvised weapon rack. Inside was the shadow hunter, meditating, speaking with the Lao. A shadow hunter is never done learning because the Lao has something new to teach every moment. This time the Lao didn't gave him a new lesson but a vision. Zul'Ras saw three cloaked persons climbing the stairs towards the Lao Shrine. He saw at the way they moved that they weren't trolls. A new vision came and the three persons where inside the Shrine and they took an artifact, Zul'Ras couldn't see wich one. This sacrilege made the blood of the shadow hunter boil.
Zul'Ras came out of his trance and immidiatly jumped up. He grabbed his fel glaive and rushed outside towards the temple. Suddenly a scream echoed trough the night but was soon cloaked by the roaring thunder. Quickly the entire troll village was alarmed. It appeared that the intruders have killed one of the high priests of the temple. The guards weare charging towards the temple all armed with spears and axes. The three cloaked figures did the identical spell on the same time wich created a large blast wich knocked almost every guard unconcious then they sped off in the forest. Zul'Ras donned his mask and engaged pursuit.
*************************************************
The three thieves were running trough the forest, they weren't used to run trough such terrain wich slowed them down allot. For Zul'Ras it was the most normal thing in the world. At great speed he jumped across the trees and over the branches. The shadow hunter was determined to kill these thieves and retrieve the artifact they stole from the Lao Shrine. Soon three new heads will be hanging at his tent. Zul'Ras suddenly stopped. the thieves stopped a bit further, taking a breath.
"Did we lose him?" He heard one ask. A moment of silence followed when they looked around to see if anyone was close by. Zul'Ras quickly hid behind the huge bark of and old tree. "Yes, we lost him. Let's take a look at our loot." It was silent when the three figures were investigating their stolen treasure. "A real piece of art. These trolls might be a bunch of primitives but they sure know their craft." Suddenly a fel glaive cuttrough the air and severed one of thieves head before returining to Zul'Ras' hand. "Da artifact belongs to da trolls. Return it now, or Zul'Ras will kill yo." Zul'Ras said with a small accent. Quickly the two remaining thieves launched a large fireball at the tree wich exploded into small wood chips. Zul'Ras got buried under large pieces of wood wich made it impossible. The two thieves then dissapeared into the night. Zul'Ras tried to push the wood of him but it wouldn't budge. With a sigh Zul'Ras dropped his head. "I have failed my tribe" He said in Trolls. Suddenly sound could be heard, Zul'Ras looked up. If it were the thieves then he would probably die.
