The Tavern }{ Anyone for a drink?

Orik had no idea why he was so eager to help these people, but something inside of the dwarf told him he needed to. Desiring no further thoughts on the matter, Orik went as fast as his little legs would carry him back to the group.

"Would ye shut yer mouth!?" growled the leader of the group through gritted teeth. "Ye don't want us ter be discovered, do ye?"

The other man took the reprimand without a fight. He knew well how the leader would act if he disobeyed.

"Right," the leader said. He silently brandished a scimitar from a sheath, relishing the gleam from the meager moonlight. "We've got a panther ter catch."

Orik was relieved to see the group unharmed. The earlier group was still there, waiting for something Orik didn't know of. Orik stopped short.

They're with the other group!

Orik did not hesitate to grab hold of his battle-ax and swing wildly into the group of men. Orik maneuvered his ax and easily cut down one of them with a deep gash in the ribs. Orik then slammed the flat of his ax into the drunk's head, knocking him out cold.

Orik turned to the rest of the men. "Ye'd be wise ter leave now!" Orik then spoke to the others. "There're more on the way! Ye all need ter get outta here!" Orik turned back to the the group of men, who had now drawn their own weapons. Orik did not relax his grip on his ax, but he resisted the urge to attack until they provoked him.

Jada hesitated, she wasn't quite sure what was going on. The dwarf had slipped away so suddenly she hardly noticed and popped back in only seconds ago. Orik Attacked the drunk men,""Ye'd be wise ter leave now! There're more on the way! Ye all need ter get outta here!" he called to them.

Jada didn't know weather to help him fight them off or run. Was she brave or a cowered. Would she warn her mother or run away. Jada decided to stay and fight. She leaped forward instantly growing her silky black coat. She was a beautiful panter. Jada pounced on the nearest man and clawed at his waist. He screamed in pain, and would soon bleed to death. Jada moved on kicking and lashing out at other drunkin' men.

She herd a snap in the branches above while fighting a tall muscular man. She looked up to find another man with a rather large net. "Hello precious," He called to her."The panther is here!" The man shouted. Jada Hissed at him, while her attention was turned to the man in the trees the other man crept closer to her. He grabbed a hold of her front paws and bent them into her chest, holding her tight so she only had control of her back legs. Jada tried hard to claw her way loose but the man was too stong.

She decided to try something a little different. Jada transformed back into a elf, and slipped through the mans arms. She ran as fast as she could but no use, she ran smack dab into another man trying to catch her! He hit her on the head only hard enough so she'd pass out. Jada's world went black...

Instantly when Jada lept at the men in the bushes, Kayne and Edward, Jada's new and ying/yang body guards lept in after her. Killing one target at a time. When their charge had been captured they lept twards the man in unison and slashed his throat open only to be slashed at by three men who, after sliciing open Kayne's right shoulder and Edward's back middle flank, they through nets on them as they slowly lost blood and grew into exhaustion, then passed out.

Guang watched his fellow companions, as though he was outside the action, spring to their own defenses. He could see the dwarf holding his own, but the girls were down, as was the lycan. While he was not comfortable yet with those two, he knew that he could not let them be taken for whatever perverse enjoyment the men from town had in mind.

Unfortunately, he did not have the chance to race to their rescue. A grunt from behind brought Guang face-to-face with some other men from town, the ones that the dwarf had warned might be on the flanks. Guang had time to draw his sword before the horde was upon him.

The first two were easily dispatched as they tried to run him through as though he would stand still and allow it. The others immediately backed off and started to circle. Guang used that moment to get a fix on the girls who were still struggling to get loose. He could hear the dwarf still fighting too. His attention was brought back to his own battle by the swish of a sword cutting the air. His sword just parried the blow.

Seeing another man coming up from behind, Guang drew a knife from his belt and parried the attack. He managed to circle his way out of the tightening noose and back up against a tree, which was no good either since the men could climb the tree and literally get the drop on him. Guang knew that unless something happened soon: He would fail to stop them from killing him and the girls. At the moment, he saw the dwarf.

Recklessly, Guang launched at the men in front of him, parrying two slashes and managing to leave his knife buried in the throat of another. He raced full-speed across the little clearing, leaving his pursuers momentarily behind. He saw the dwarf raise his head as though hearing him come up on his refuge.

"On your flank!" Guang yelled. "Back to back!" He hoped that the dwarf understood because he was about three steps from getting skewered if he didn't...but he didn't stop.

"We have her!," Said one of the men pointing to jada. He then proceeded to pick her up," This is the one we came for we have her so now we would be wise to leave!" he continued.

Jada lay in his arms motionless and unaware to the danger she was in.

Her captor began to walk away with several other men from the group as body guards. slowly they all retreated, with al call to one another, " WE HAVE HER!! WE HAVE HER!!!"

[Kaine]

Kayne and the lycan, Edward, were still in wolf form when they passed out. Edward, being stuck, never changed back. But Kayne did. And when the men who where only after one elven changing-panther girl, they cheered and revealed at the thought of having to shifters, and both elven girls. Kayne muttered something while being passed out and Edward sprang up and free from the grasp of the men and ran t help Guang and the dwarf, wit the last strength gone, Kayne completely blacked-out.

Guang didn't quite make it the three steps before he was bowled over from the side, just getting missed by several arrows that peppered the ground.

He rolled to his feet and saw the dwarf still at it valiantly and that he had been knocked clear by the lycan. Nodding his thanks, Guang edged closer to the dwarf and kept the lycan to his left to keep himself from being flanked.

The men stopped short, noticing the lycan and curious about it. Guang knew that they would attack him first. Friend, he thought, sneak off and take out those archers if you can. I can wait here and try to hold them off with the dwarf. Then we will see to the ladies.

He hoped the lycan had caught the message and acted on it, but he had no time to see. The men rushed forward in a mass, swords glinting in the faint light. Guang brought up his sword and parried, hoping to deflect the advance long enough to give the lycan a chance.

[Kaine]

Edward had heard the message and acted on it as well. Running through the men forgin forward he lept upon a man with bow ready and ripped out his throat. He then proceeded to the next and the next until four men were down. Face bloody with the blood of humans, the lycan shivered. It was almost over.

Guang had no time to watch the lycan depart for the rest of the men swarmed him. He batted down one and thrust another through, but then they were on him, stripping his sword from his hand.

"What should we do wit' 'im?" the one with the sword at Guang's neck asked.

"Kill 'im. We ain't got no reason ta keep a gnome...or da dwarf. Kill 'em both," another said looking towards the fighting dwarf. "Let's go help those lads, boys." They ran off leaving the first man alone with Guang.

"Sorry, lad, but ye are a dyin' tonight." He chuckled and prepared to run the sword through.

Lycan! Guang thought as loudly as he could. He closed his eyes and waited for the blow to fall.

Jada awoke to cold water thrown on her. "AHHH!" She screamed shooting up from her spot on the ground. She jumped to her feet relizeing she was surrounded by the drunken men. Their was a small creek next to her which was where the water came from. The water gave her goose bumps and the night was cold. She was literally frozen. She was scared stiff of the men and the cold water kept her from moving. She even lost control of her voice. She didn't think she could scream if she wanted to.

"Change now Jada, CHANGE!!" She tried to tell herself.

"Aw look the little girl if actually frightened, her friends arn't here to help her."One man said laughing at her.

There were at least tweleve of them circling her.

Even if i did manage to change they would still be able to catch me."Jada thought.


She morphed anyway. It was her only Chance. She grew her sliky black coat. She growled and threw her paws scaring a few men back far enough for her to dash threw them. She took her opening and ran. She sniffed around for any clues to where they had come. She picked up Guang's scent, fear was lingering. Jada headed for him as fast as she could. She knew her friends were in as much trouble or even more as she was.

Edward quickly returned.

"I have come, let us take care of them"

Kayne lay unconsious in the midsts of the men who had captured Lady Jada. They looked at her hungryly.

Guang waited with baited breath, but the blow never came. Guang opened his eyes and saw the man looking over towards the dwarf, who was still on his feet. A shadow caused them both to look over to Guang's left and there they saw a panther coming back.

Jada! Guang exclaimed silently. Suddenly energetic once more, Guang took the moment to roll sideways and kick up, throwing the blade off of his neck and kicking the man in his groin. The blade sliced Guang slightly, causing the blood to rise. Guang jumped to his feet as the man went to his knees. A blow from Guang's knee to the man's head sent him to the ground...out cold.

Guang picked up his fallen sword and looked to the dwarf, still valiantly fighting, even though some of the men were taking off. Guang saw the panther move to intercept them, especially the ones holding a small bag that moved at times. It was the other elf girl. That meant that her lycan was either captured too or was waiting for an opportunity.

Guang stood torn between going for the elf girl and following Jada or staying with the dwarf. He knew that either decision could be bad and that someone could end up dead. He would probably regret it later, but he lifted his sword and went for the nearest man, hoping that if he could free the dwarf in time, they could go after the girls.

He hoped that Jada would stay safe until he could catch up to her again. Guang sliced a man through his shoulder blades and cut another's throat, trying to clear a path to the dwarf. Within minutes, every man was dead.

"After the girls if you care too!" Guang cried. He wiped off his sword and headed down the trampled path he had seen the others take. He did not look to see if the dwarf followed.Tor, are you playing or NOT anymore? :P -

Jada Had managed to catch Guag's eye and she saw the relif in them. Jada knew she needed to stay close to the men for protection but she couldn't leave Kayne by herself with the large group of drunk men. The large group was slowly deminishing though. One man picked up the unconcious Kayne and began to carry her away. Jada couldn't let them take her so she took one last glance back at Guag and the dwarf and Jada was off to save the other elf girl.

She slipped into the shadows of trees and hid from the eyes of the drunken men. Some of them weren't drunk at all though. They just came along to help catch the girls and have some fun. Jada picked her steps carefully so she didn't make a sound and she stalked the men. she didn't want to put herself in any fight situation until the Guag and the dwarf arrived. She couldn't take on several men at once even in her panther form. Jada took a deep breath and padded silently in the night after the captors of kayne.

They stopped suddenly as the forest began to clear. They were takeing her back towards town?. Jada didn't quit understand this. She sat down and watched them. They whispered amongst themselves and Jada had to strain to hear them.

"We should have caught the panther girl too."

"Well we did have her but she escaped our grasp. Anyway She'll come back for her little friend here. Not until it's too late though."

A few of the men laughed at this. It disgusted Jada.

We need to take her somewhere private so know one knows of this. Maybe that abondoned stable by the southern river. It's just a little ways south of the town itself. No one will ever know anything happened.

Jada had herd enough, she slipped back through the woods to find Guag and the dwarf to tell them what she her. They by then had killed most of the men leaving a few to run off alone in the woods. Jada ran up to them and morphed out of breath she gasped," I know where they are takeing her, if we hurry we can beat them to the place and make a suprise attack and win a battle and save a friend." She said with a smile smile of triumph, "Climb on my back it will be faster to travel there," she said and morphed back into her black silky coat.

Guang stopped in surprise as Jada bounded out of the bushes ahead of him on the path and offered a ride on her back. Never certain around riding animals, Guang hesitated, but finally gave in, knowing that it was necessary in order to catch the other elf girl and the lycan in time.

Guang nodded and got on the panther form. He had no way of holding on at all, but managed to grasp a firm hank of fur with both hands before the panther charged off, leaving him bouncing madly, but making great time.

I hope the dwarf can follow this trail if he comes, Guang thought helplessly. He pushed all thoughts away and waited for Jada to stop at their destination. If only they had more time!

Jada raced as fast as she could to the abandoned farm house. It was creepy when they arrived. Jada knew it was just a few feet ahead through the brush until she saw it. But Jada slowed before she got to close.

Jada let Guang off her back and morphed. "I'm going to stalk around and check to make sure nothing, and no one else is here. I don't think the men who have kayne have arrived yet but I want to make sure. Also this place has been abbandoned so long who knows what lives around or in it. I'll be back in a minute, don't move and even breathe quietly. There may be preditors even I can't out run here...but I really hope not." Jada remorphed into a panther and crept though the brush.

She stayed well hidden in th shadows. Jada pounced up a tree and the limbs were becomming rotten, Great! She thought, I'm going to give myself away luckily Jada got down before she snapped the branch. She stayed away from the trees after that. The brush came right up to the back of the barn and Jada snuck inside. It was empty besides some creepy crawly spiders. Shivers ran down Jada's spine at the thought of the ugly creatures.

Jada snuck back to Guang. She morphed and whispered to him," No one is here, the trees are all rotting so don
t even try to hide there." She let out a little bit of sarcasm," I think I should go back and try to bring the dwarf here, but If i leave I don' think you'll be able to take them all. Kayne needs our help more...ugh, ok i'm staying to help you get Kayne back then we'll go back for the dwarf." Jada said makeing up her mind. "So i guess no we wait for the stupid men to arrive, I'm guessing they are comming from the same way we came so maybe we should find another hiding spot. Also we could try to set a few traps? I KNOW!" Jada said cheering a little," We can crack a few of the branches until they are about ready to fall then when some of those men come we can crush them," Jada let out a little giggle. She was ready to get her revenge on those men.
