Fragmented Past[open]

[Kaine]

Kayne walked through dense paths that crawled with vines and undergrowth. She started to remember her troubled and shatered past when a slight noise came from ahead of her. Edward stepped trough and wagged his black tail. Infact all of him was black. Being her Yang, the lycan took a pace with the elven girl and talked to her through mind power.

"So, even you remember fragmented memories of our child-hood? When I was not stuck, and you changed frequently?

"Yes, my friend. It pains me though. Please leave me to my thoughts. I wish not for company of wolves, no offense."

[Aoeclald]

Aoeclald, a native Changeling to the area, wandered the woods in his elf resembling form. His normal form, that is. His bow hung limply in his hand and his quiver was as light as a feather on his back. He was quite muscular. His golden-tinted eyes searched hither and thither, but his ears caught the prey first.

Snap.

A twig broke at his flank and he turned around to see a rarely used path accompanied by a black wolf and a young elven girl. Interesting...

"Halt, who goes there!" he called out, in his faux elven voice. It was quite impressive being able to mimic the voices of what he was.

[Kaine]

Kayne mearly blinked at the elfen man. She liked the way his bleach-blonde hair contrasted to her ebony hair. His tinted-gold eyes compared to her crimson ones. Amazing the differences between elf-folk. Kayne stepped twards him smiling the sweetest of smiles. "Sir, you have interupted my thoughts, what is it you wish?" To Edward she said,//You must flee, I can get out of this, go to another place and wait for my call. I will be alright, fear not.\\ With that the lycan left her side in a rush, seemingly to startle the man. Kayne knew otherwise. If he was elven, he could no doubt hear the thoughts passed between the girl and wolf.

[Aoeclald]

Aoeclald surveyed the young elven woman.

Friend... or foe? That is the question... he thought smugly to himself.

He jumped back in surprise when the black wolf ran away.

Cursed elves and their mind communication. She knows I'm not an elf now... she might consider me an enemy... but that is for her to decide...

"I happened to see you and a wolf. Not everyday you see an elf and a lycan out with each other. I thought I'd come and help. Have a problem with that?" He gave a witty smile; just because he can't read thoughts doesn't mean he doesn't know what's going on.

[Kaine]

//hmmm.... perhaps....elven he is not, but an enemy? No, I shall try it…\\\

"Good man, what say you to joining me for a walk down my path to remembrance? It may be a long journey, I don't know when I might stop or where it truly ends, but perhaps you will say yes?"

Kayne stepped forward and smiled once more. She raised her hand to him and acted like it would be the man-shake, the “hand-shake”, when in reality she would just plain hold his hand as if lovers. She had always been very touchy and a close-natured person to those she sensed she could trust. And this man, seemed trust-worthy. She might as well ask him his name.

“Sir, I will ask of you one question and one question only. What be your name? I am Kayne.”

[Aoeclald]

Kayne, to Aoeclald, was very kind. Too kind, it seemed.

I think I can get used to this... he said as he took her hand in a gentle grip. "Yes, I think I shall join you. Nothing better than a good walk." he said, smiling. There was an unusual twinkle in his eye as if they were a cat's.

"My name is Aoeclald. It is nice to meet you Kayne. What a beautiful name you have." he said, trying to sound somewhat romantic. He wasn't more of a romantic type, but he pulled it off with some success.

[Kaine]

"Aeoclald, how wonderfully beautiful." Kayne took a step forward and smiled.

She couldn’t help it; her heart was filled with a sudden joy! Kayne opened her lips and started to sing a song taught to her by an old man.

“Gently singing the song of the birds, softly singing the song of the wolves. Howling and twittering the sounds of the forest, never pausing for human’s unusual chorus.”
