Perfection

A loud slicing sound echoed through the forest around the lake. Another one then another. Jena was training but her training was harder than it looked. For her, she trained for weeks at a time, not stopping once until she was satisfied. She normally worked until she passed out then rested for one day. If she got a job, she would train even harder then go off to do it.
She punched the tree hard, bark flying then sliced it with her sharp sword. Then she twisted around and sliced another tree. Suddenly she did a backflip, landing on the surface of the lake and jumping around. She was a human but so fast that she could walk on water.

Jada was in her panther form. She stopped by the lake for a quick drink but saw a girl across the lake training. She watched her. Dinner and a show Jada thought as she watched her. Jada morphed into her elven girl form, her jet black fur melted into tan skin, and her caramel hair. Her blues eyes remained as blue as saphires. Jada decided to approach the other girl. It had been sometime since Jada had actually talked to someone. She slowly walked up, catching the girls eye Jada said," Hello, I'm Jada, I was just walking about and i stopped for a quick drink and i saw you. I thought maybe a quick conversation if your not too busy?"

Jena didn't even glance at the girl, to indepth with her training that she couldn't even hear the girl speak. Then she jumped into the air and slammed her sword into a tree. The tree shook, the bird in it dashing away with loud screeches. Then she jumped backwards and landed back on the water. She paused then closed her eyes, stood on one foot and froze there as if set in stone.

Jada was stunned. She couldn't believe her eyes. The girl was standing on water! Jada couldn't find the words to say, to ask. Jada finally gathered some sense back and walked up to the girl and just barely touched her.

Jena jumped away and pointed her sword at the girl. She had been spooked and had no idea what this girl was here for. She pointed her sword without her hands shaking. If need be, she could slice the girl's throat but soon lowred her weapon and sheathed it. "Hello,"She said bluntly and walked off the lake.

"Hello I was just out wandering around and saw you on the lake. That is amazing!" Jada started, hopeing for a conversation.

Jena walked to a tree and wipped her head and neck with a crimson towl hanging on a low limb of a tree. Then she turned to the girl, sheathed her sword and said,"Thanks I guess."

"How do you do it? I mean how do you walk on water like that? I thought it impossible." Jada was still baffled. She felt like a child amazed at some magicians trick.

"Years of training and focusing energy to my feet,"She said and smiled. Her blue eyes bright and crisp. Then she looked at her arms, which here bleeding and said,"Excuse me for a moment." She turned, grabbed a bag and walked off behind a tree.

Jada watched as she disappered behind the tree. She patiently sat down at the base of a tall wide tree. She leaned against it and waited for the girl to come back.

She returned, fresh bandages on her arms and chest. Then she set the bag down and said,"I'm Jena. I'm sorry if I frightened you. I was only training and didn't know anyone was around..."

"Oh no don't be sorry, I'm the one who should be sorry for interupting your training. I'm Jada by the way." she smiled a friendly smile in return.

She smiled and sat down. She pulled a rag out of her bag and pulled her sword from it's sheath on her back. Gently she began to clean the blade. "Well I'm lucky you came along. I probably would have overdone it and probably hurt myself,"She said and chuckled.

"I was just passing through the woods and stopped for a drink, I saw you and just wanted a conversation, it's been quite some time since i've talked to anyone. I guess I was getting lonely." Jada admitted.

"So training, mind if I ask what your training for? And why it bring you hear? To the middle of well almost the middlw of nowhere, there are a few towns not too far from here." Jada asked.

Jena looked at the girl when she asked her those questions.
"Well I'm training for my...job. And I'm here because no one can see or inturupt me. But don't worry, I don't exactly mind the company, rather than I don't want to hurt anyone,"She said and continued cleaning her sword.
