Name: Ilathiel
Age: 130
Race: Drow elf
Physical Description: Ilathiel is possesed of the soft, voluptuous beauty that all drow women seem to be graced with. Her own skin tends far more towards the medium brown than the greyish black. Not common, but not undesirable from her own standpoint. Her bright, green eyes provide quite the contrast to her dark skin. It's rare that she moves with any pronounced lack of grace. The woman's long, white hair is barely styled, her only concession to its length being her habit of putting it up in a ponytail so that it "merely" reaches down to the tops of her thighs. She has a knack for dressing for whatever occasion is called for- Whether for the rough and tumble world of exploration, which is her passion, or her occasional desire to inflame other passions in other people. She never quite fully got used to the surface sun, so she ties a band of translucent black fabric around over her eyes to keep it from stinging her. She calls it a "sunfold"
Personality:Mercurial, in a word. In more, howebver, Ilathiel, despite her origin, is certainly capapble of the full range of emotions that any thinking creature should be- She just occasionally expresses the full range within a period of less than half an hour, switching with all of the smoothness of a drunk cow being pushed down a flight of steps. She works hard to maintain beneficial friendships, and is uncharacteristically loyal for a creature of her race. However, in keeping with her race, she does have a tendency to indulge her passions when she feels it's appropriate, despite when it may not necessarily be so.
History: Ilathiel didn't leave for the surface out of any pangs of pure and righteous goodness- She merely became convinced, perhaps rightly so, that the drow of the underdark would eventually bleed themselves to death, and didn't want to be under that roof when the rafters gave out. The chronic instability and internecine slaughter disgusted her own prgamatic sensibilities about how the drow could and should pool their strngth, so she decided to ditch her people without a third thought. After leaving with what che could carry and no goodbyes, she began to take very odd job under the gods' blue sky that her talents could afford her, from dancer to assassin, and whatever all else in between, savory or no. However, she eventually took up the role of explorer- While the continent is mapped, there are still dark places in the world that no surface eyes have seen, sometimes despite being close nighbors with the great unknown. Ilathiel has made herself quite useful in this regard, the subterfuge that had been drilled into her from an early age manifesting itself fully in her profession.
Weapons:
Fang: "Fang" is a long-bladed straight-backed cutting sword that's quite non-descript. She has only named the one that she uses in battle- For sword dances, she carries another, similar weapon. She never uses both at once in battle, however, preferring a shorter parrying blade in her other hand.
Steelbane: A steel mace used when an opponent's armor, natural or not, precludes the use of her sword.
