"Mirror, Mirror on the wall...Who's the evillest of them all" Raeynia laughed, staring at the mirror that hung in the tavern's bathroom, what she found funny was that 1. evillest wasn't a word, she was a stickler for grammar and 2. Raeynia wasn't exactly evil anymore.
Smiling at herself, yep, Raeynia had a reflection, and no, she is actually a vampyre. Just the whole 'vampyre's have no reflection!' thing was a silly made up story. Sighing, Raeynia ran a tanned hand through her elboew length electric blue hair that was streaked with thin lines of black, "well self, better get back out there!" perking up slightly, Raeynia made for the door, shaking her head in silent laughter at speaking to herself.
Opening the bathroom door Raeynia walked into the tavern's main room, filled with all sorts of creatures happily drinking, chatting and laughing . Raeynia smiled softly, wandering to a corner of the tavern, she sat in the soft light made by a few candles set on the table. Setting her legs up on another chair, legs crossed at her ankles, she tilted her head back and tied her hair into a messy bun, then resting her hands in her lap she merely drifted away listening to the conversations running everywhere through the tavern.

"If you would be so kind, remind me again why you dragged me into this squalid, fetid dump?" Silvarn grumbled as he gently massaged his temple. We were running short on leads. A place like this with its motley occupants might have some connections with people with dark intentions. a voice whined from inside his head. "I see. You think that someone here might have a business relationship with Khul'Ydd--" Yes, I believe so. Or at least a bondage agreement. Speaking of which, did I ever tell you about my half-sister--?"No! For all that is decent and wholesome, shut your blasphemous trap now!" Silvarn suddenly roared. The noise in the tavern vanished abruptly. All eyes focused on Silvarn, wide with fear and curiosity. A lady unfortunate enough to be in Silvarn's "line of fire" wilted and collapsed off her chair. "What is the matter? Have none of you ever seen a man lose his temper before?" Silvarn growled at his audience. The grey mage gave an impatient snort when the tavern patrons insisted on continuing to stare at him. He promptly stormed out, fuming verbally about rudeness and lack of mannerisms. Well-handled, if I do say so myself. the voice sneered. "This is a violation of our agreement, is it not?" Silvarn snarled. Oh, yes, correct. I beg your forgiveness, O Master. I will return in twenty-five minutes. the voice mocked. "Demons," Silvarn sighed with frustration as he continued to stride away from the tavern "why must they be so difficult." Speaking of demons, there was a back in the tavern. the demon rattled off hastily. "Vampires? What need have I for those two-legged parasites? I can dismiss them just as easily as any other creature of darkness." Yes, but this one is vain. She was staring at herself in a mirror."Now do not be ridiculous. You know very well vampires do not have reflect--" the end of the sentence came to a constricting halt. Exactly. the voice said smugly. "Very interesting." Silvarn muttered. He stopped and turned around to face the tavern, stroking his chin methodically, the gears in his brain churning full-tilt.

As Raeynia continued to merely sit and listen, her eyebrows moved together in slight confusion, a weird energy had just made itself known in the tavern. although, being to lazy to even open an eye and have a look, Raeynia merely tuned in to what he was saying, it sounded like he was arguing with himself. However, Raeynia had met a few creatures with other creatures stuck in their minds, so she wasn't entirely averse to thinking that might be the case here.
Raeynia smirked slightly, as the mysterious mans voice boomed out into the crowd, and everyone shut up, finally cracking open a brilliant eye she looked to the door, as a man who looked close to death glared at the patrons of the tavern then turned on his heel and stormed out.
Raeynia found it positively entertaining, giggling slightly to herself she sat up properly, pulling her hair out of it's messy bun she re-did her hair quickly into a long plait down her back then stood up, walking swiftly to the bar, her heels thumping softly on the hardwood floor, she ordered another water in a tall glass and turning, swiftly walked back to her seat, positioning herself in the darkness more she merely watched the tavern door. Her legs back up on a chair she smirked slightly, her teeth glittering in the candlelight she raised the glass to her lips and began to drink happily.

Athier sluggishly walked along the road, his destination being the village of Tamasha. His belt and boots clinked at he walked, and he stared around. His eyes were half shut, as he hadn't gotten much sleep in the last few days. What he needed was a nice cold beer, and a couple of days sleep. Actually, probably more than one beer.
He entered the village, and as he neared the tavern he saw a tallish man who looked a little confused. As Athier got closer, he noticed that the mans mouth was moving. He was talking to himself?
"You talking to yourself mate? Got weird things with your head aye?" Athier yelled to him. "Don't we all" he muttered to himself.
He stepped through the tavern door, and took the whole sight in. There were many people, but one he took more notice of was this eccentric looking woman. She had weirdly blue hair and her eyes were half open. Athier got a strange feeling down his spine that something was up.

As Raeynia contentedly relaxed in her chair, her glass thumping on the wood table, now empty, her eyes slid over to the open door as a man shuffled in, he didn't look too good, his eyes were half closed and he looked quite disheveled, Raeynia's right eyebrow arched up, as she wondered what his story would be. Raeynia picked up her glass, feeling the new mans glance on her, she stood up swiftly.
Headign towards the bar, she glanced once more at the strange man before clunking her glass on the bar top, the barman came over after five minutes of him out the back. As he went to refill her glass with water she shook her head, "hmmm, I feel like...vodka...and some scotch, could you mix it together?" the barman looked at her then nodded slowly and got her drink ready. Now, Raeynia didn't exactly drink often, but when she did it was normally of a weird concoction. Like now.
Smiling happily at the barman she turned and meandered back to her table, weaving in and out of the tables, waving at a strange creature, half monkey half parrot. Wondering how that came about, odd combination really.
Taking a swig of her drink, she sat down as the vodka/scotch combination burned it's way down her throat and into her stomach, "mm, alcohol, the destroyer of peace" she muttered to herself, crossing her legs on the chair again she took another drink.

Silvarn froze with his mouth agape, shocked at the stranger's arrogance...not to mention volume. As the man walked away, Silvarn's face contorted into a snarl and energy colored the myriad hues of the sunset crackled from his tensed fingers.
Master, there is no need to waste our efforts on one so...insignificant. the voice whined.
"What is this? A Demon of Malfeas showing mercy?" Silvarn growled.
No, not mercy: efficiency. the voice corrected.
"You mean laziness, Scorcahr."
There is a difference? Scorcahr sniffed.
"Still, I think we should at least instruct that cretin in proper mannerisms, do you not agree?"
Would I be a Malfean Demon if I did otherwise? the demon hissed with glee. Silvarn suddenly had a mental image of a smiling mouth with far too many sharp, pointy teeth.
"Frankly, I have been looking for an excuse to flex my Solar muscles again."
That is not very noble of you, Chosen of the Sun.
"Against a worthy target of course." Silvarn added as an afterthought.
Of course.
"This should be fun." Silvarn muttered as he approached the tavern again.

The blue-haired woman sat down again after getting another drink, and Athier took another glance around the room. There were a lot of people in here, drinking and socialising. He took a step forward, but felt that strange feeling again. He looked at the woman, then glanced over his shoulder, looking out onto the streets of Tamasha. He saw the creepy man with the broken head glaring at him. Something was swirling around his hand. . . energy, magic perhaps? Athier felt a little scared. He didn't like messing around with magic, especially not when it was directed at him. He wasn'[t sure what to do. . . Run, or fight? It took him a few seconds to decide.
Run.
He began to run as fast as he could. He was used to running a lot of the time. He had become a thief, a murderer and a raider of tombs. He did whatever job you wished, even if it including killing a man. So Athier ran, bounding through the tavern. He jumped the bench where the barkeeper stood at, and as he sailed through the air he tried to grab a beer from the shelf. He missed and hit his hand on the shelf. Scowling and gasping at the same time, he kept running as he ran through this kind of back door.
"Damn" He muttered as he stumbled out into an alleyway. He knew that the man was probably following him.

As Raeynia laxed out, drinking down her random drink, she could feel that strange energy again from the creature that yelled at the patrons of the tavern. She wondered why he was still hanging around, seeing as he'd stormed off in a strop before. Finishing of her drink, she stood up, and just as she stood she saw the ragged man look around as if in concentration. Wondering what he was upto, she wanted to know if he was a thief or some other man from the lower worklife.
Her eyes narrowed as he suddenly took off, lunging over the bar top, she saw his hand miss grabbing a bottle of beer and banging agaisnt the wood and then he was out a back door. A slow smirk spread across Raeynia's features as her eyes darkened "ahh, finally, something interesting..." she muttered to herself. Striding to the bar, she clunked down the glass and handed over some coins. Jumping onto the bartop she hopped down and walked out the back door, snagging a bottle of beer on the way she pushed out the back door and turned her head looking for the man.
Looking at the beer, her lip curled "who the heck likes this stuff?" she asked herself, glancing around again for the man.

He is no longer in the tavern. Scorcahr whined as Silvarn strode back to the tavern menacingly. "None of the unnecessaries, Scorcahr. Find him!" Silvarn hissed. I cannot quite get a grip on his cranium, but I can smell the fear from here. Ah, how I have missed that sour, pungent scent. Will we chase him a little first, just for sport? Scorcahr asked with morbid hopefulness. "No, I do not want to cause a scene." Silvarn answered. He clenched his fist tightly, causing the crackling energy around his hand to dissipate. "So where is he?" I think he ducked out of the tavern and into a back alley. What is more, the is following him."Hmm..." Silvarn mused as he made an appropriate change in direction. "A connection between them, perhaps?" Exploitable?"Hopefully." "Weird things in your head, mate?" I am not weird at all. It is you humans who are freaks. I am personally going to soil his dreams for that."Be a bit soft on him, Scorcahr. After all, he did not know about you. He still may not. I do not know why he would have said that. I never display signs of insanity, do I? For example, I never talk to myself aloud. Or in my mind, since I know what is good for me. I know what you do to my thoughts when you get a hold of them, Scorcahr. That is a dark and sinister tract." the grey mage actually gave a mild shiver. You had better hurry up if you want to catch this cretin. His scent is starting to get a little weak."Duly noted." Silvarn acknowledged, stepping up his pace.

The woman stepped out the back door, glancing around the open space. Athier looked at her closely, he was crouched behind her against a wall. The shadows clearly hid him from her gaze. As she looked away from his direction, he stepped up and crept up behind her, silent as a panther. He noticed the beer in her hand, and he whispered,
"Thanks for the beer."
Athier was unsure what he had done to annoy the man. Perhaps he was a bit loud and obnoxious. He did have a habit of doing that when he didn't mean it. . .
He began to walk off, and slowly upped the pace to a brisk walk. As he did so, he yelled back to the woman
"Come on, miss, are you coming? That guy probably thinks you're with me, in that case, he probably wants to kill you too."
He thought for a moment. The woman looked a little familiar.
"While we're running away, would you mind telling me if I know you from somewhere?" he yelled back to her.

As the stranger took the beer out of her hand she rolled her eyes "you really should work on your snatching skills ya know." Raeynia commented dryly, her eyes scanning the alleyway, turning Raeynia began to follow the man up the alleyway.
A cold laugh erupted from Raeynia's dark lips, "He could try to kill me, no one can get very far at killing ancients. That man doesn't really scare me, although, that demon trapped in his head kind of worries me, the man didn't seem very evil but there was a weird energy about the demno in his head" Raeynia muttered half to herself.
Her black boots clunked on the dusty hard packed ground, pulling her hair out of it's plait she sighed wondering what next to do with it, her eyebrows came together as she looked back at the door to the tavern. Tying up her hair in a tight bun she smirked, "ahh, maybe some fun will arrive."

Damn."What?" The she...she knows."About what?" Me."Oh," Silvarn balked for but an instant, then resumed his pace. Strange, she knows I am actively keeping tabs on her thoughts, yet she does not resist. It is almost as if she wants us to find her."She is none of our concern. I only want to teach that arrogant man a lesson." Silvarn's temper continued to rise. But then, why was he so angry? By pursuing after this man with intent to harm him, was he not sinking to the same level of arrogance and immaturity? No, there had to be a more...civilized way of doing this. Perhaps we could let him slide for now? Or maybe... Scorcahr presence blipped from Silvarn's mind for an instant. Or maybe we could interact with this man, and find a real reason to maim him, not just out of hurt pride."That is surprisingly refined of you, Scorcahr. Frankly, I am impressed." Can it, grey one.

Athier began to up his pace, beginning to run down the alley. He didn't particularly care if the woman followed him at all, he just wanted to get the hell out of the area. He began to slow down again. He was far too exhausted to run, he needed to sleep. Not that the man following him cared though.
He found his way to the end of the alley, and noticed that he was on another street of Tamasha. He slowed to a walk, and tried to see if there were any houses that he could try to sleep at. He knew that not many people would open their homes to random men with swords.
"Why do I always get myself into these kinds of messes?" Athier asked himself under his breath.
He halted and leaned against a wall. He needed a moment to think. He was tired of running, and he knew that this man would catch up to him eventually.
"I guess it's time to fight, isn't it?" He said to himself.
He began to walk back towards the tavern, his hand draped across the hilt of his sword.

Raeynia watched the stranger run off, she was now not that interested in the stranger or the grey toned man. Turning around she headed back the alley, then deciding agaisnt going back through a staff door she headed for the front door. Glancing up at the sun, she scowled, "honestly, who creates something so bright!" Shielding her eyes with her hand she headed into the slight murky darkness when smoke hung thick in the air.
Yeah, the sun, oh no, the vampyre should be dust! Hah, keep dreaming, that's a myth too. Really, these humans create too much fear for themselves, Raeynia thought sarcastically. As she re-entered the tavern Raeynia apparoached the bar, where the barman glared at her, she shrugged sheepishly, "ehm, I paid for the beer though!" Raeynia defended, then ordered another drink. This time opting to sit on a barstool, not in a corner.
