History:
Gosha was.. an accident. His parents only wanted one child.
They almost left him in the woods, so he'd die. But they changed their mind. Maybe the kid would make something of himself one day. Maybe get them some more money. The Kovalevsky family is a considerably wealthy one, and they could afford to hand little Georgy off to a nanny while he was young.
Although his parents decided to keep him, they kept his existence a secret to everyone else beside themselves and their other child, Viktor. At family gatherings he was hidden in the basement when he was very young. When he was older he was told stay in the woods out behind their house.
As Gosha got older, say, around six, he was constantly told to be a good boy like his brother. He didn't want to do that, though. Viktor was a mean boy. Very spoilt and... hitty. Viktor liked to push Gosha around, call him stupid and worthless.
Around this time, when he was told to stay in the woods, he snuck back into the house. He wasn't noticed by his parents, or really anyone for a while. In the end he was caught by his grandfather. That was four people- not counting nannies and teachers- now that knew of Gosha's existence. Eventually, his parents found out about this and Gosha was sent off to live with with his grandpa, Mikhail.
This was probably the best thing for him. Mikhail travelled around a lot; Gosha got to see the world and be friends with a family member. From when he was seven and to when he was fourteen, he had a good life. Once he was fifteen, though, Gosha was sent back to his parents. He ended up running away a week later he returned.
Gosha had gotten a job as a busboy at a tavern to make money. After while, he had met a rather shady fellow asking Gosha to steal things for him. Since he was going to be paid more than he would be at the tavern, Gosha agreed. For the next two years he was this shady man's errand boy. Stealing things for him, giving stolen goods to other people, he was making good money. And better yet, he hadn't ever been caught.
At seventeen he was given a different task; he was to kill this governor-type rich fellow. Being the over confident, greedy teenager that he was, he agreed to. Gosha... failed quite miserably.. He didn't fail in the killing part. No, he actually did that pretty well. He started to panic after killing the guy. He'd then realized what he'd done, hyperventilated, jumped out of the window, and ran out of town, only to be caught by the local authorities and thrown in prison.
I'd say that's where he failed. Yes, that sounds about right.
News of the governor-rich dude's murder and Gosha's imprisonment spread quickly, as that governor-rich dude was quite important. With that being said, the dead guy being important, Gosha was bound to stay in prison for quite a while. Long story short, the shady man he'd been running errands for these last few years had betrayed him. He told the authorities that Gosha was a danger to the general public, that he'd been responsible for most of the murders in the last two years, that he was going to flee town soon after killing again. All of but the last one were false. Gosha's employer had gotten a hefty sum of money for turning him in, even though most of the things he'd done were things he hadn't. Gosha had stayed in prison until he was twenty-two, so five years, and then was bailed out by his grandfather. Oddly enough, his family owned that prison, so he was out like that once Mikhail became aware that his grandson was incarcerated.
After that little mishap, Gosha left town for good, and continued doing freelance jobs. Just, typically, ones that required him to not kill anyone. He met someone through one of his various jobs that's he'd become very close with. Eventually, the two of them had a kid together, and oddly enough, that was the time she'd decided she couldn't stand to be around Gosha, so they'd drifted apart. Every now and then Gosha gets to see his child, Dominik.
((not the best history, kind of sped through it. Especially at the end. Sorry.))
Personality[/u]
Personality:
Gosha's a very competent worker; give him a job, any job, and he'll do it with no questions asked. Especially if money is involved. He'll also do the job well. Something isn't worth doing if it isn't done well. That ties into this fact here- Gosha is a perfectionist. Every thing he does has to be perfect in his eyes down to the last, minute detail.(though almost contradictorily, if he doesn't like something all that much, he wont be so picky with details)
He hardly sleeps. That plays a part in his appearance; he either looks wide awake, or half asleep. Insomnia is something Gosha has had to deal with for a good portion of his life, so he knows how to tolerate it. Typically is a quiet fellow.. unless he's drunk, or mocking someone, or both. He thinks (for the most part, there are exceptions) before acting, but before speaking he is without thought beforehand. He just wings it. He doesn't know when to shut his mouth.. or rather, he knows when to, he just doesn't. Especially when not shutting up could get him hurt. It is not uncommon to see Gosha with some sort of bruise or scrape on him.
He likes act like he thinks he is bad ass. Acts. He doesn't actually believe this. It's quite the contrary, he has extreme self image issues. He hates who is is and what he's made of himself in life, but won't ever let anyone know it. He doesn't handle his emotions well. He tends to bottle them up until he has some mental breakdown. Not the best way to handle something, but it works well enough for Gerorgiy-boy here.
He's possessive over people he's close to. Over protective, that kind of thing. It doesn't take much for him to become provoked and try to hit something or someone. He's violent and short tempered. He's quick to anger, quick to throw a punch. He'll never hit anyone he cares for a lot. In that sense, he's loyal. But the same time, Gosha is disloyal. His loyalty only lasts as long as a contract most times. Once you pay him it's over unless you hire him again. Gosha is considerably selfish and greedy. He won't go out of his way for someone unless it benefits himself in some way. A rather mean-spirited and cynical person, he can be described as.
After his encounter with a "certain fellow" in his past, his trust is something very difficult to gain, as it should be. If you do manage to do the impossible and get him to trust you, you own him. Gosha will do anything for you. He'll be almost like.. a dog. Until you betray him or something, then he'll be like a dog with rabies. And hit you.. or something.
