Here I stand...
All alone...
Here I stand...
My blade stuck in the sand...
Lost all my honor...
They marked me unworthy...
Here I stand...
Alone, with my blade in my hand...
All alone...
Here I stand...
My blade stuck in the sand...
Lost all my honor...
They marked me unworthy...
Here I stand...
Alone, with my blade in my hand...
Quinlan Kerath
Human Swordsman
Enemy Of The State
Human Swordsman
Enemy Of The State
The soldier put a scroll of parchment on the table. The general opened the scroll and smiled.
Dear General Johnston,
Former lieutenant Quinlan James Kerath was arrested and sentenced to death. The criminal escaped from his heavy guarded prison. How he managed to do so is still a mystery.
Fortunately, we managed to track him down and arrested him again. He had a sword in his possession and used it against us. We had no choice but to take him out. Again we put him in prison, raising the punishment, this time not just a death sentence, but he would be tortured till death would take him. A slow, painful death.
But, God have mercy, he escaped again! The dog killed off everyone who got on his way to the exit of the prison and he even freed all the other prisoners! He is a dangerous man, John. We must end his life to keep him from killing even more innocent people!
Now here it comes, my friend… He is gone. We have searched the whole country but no sign of him. We think he escaped and left for Valear. If this is true, we cannot harm him. We can´t set foot on the world of Valear.
I would like to meet you in HQ to discuss this matter, my good friend. Please be sure to invite all the other generals as well.
Greetings,
General Allison.

“My God…” Johnston said after he read the letter. “…This… Can’t be…”
Meanwhile, somewhere else.
A man with long black hair and a pale skin stepped out of a boat.
He looked around, nobody had noticed him yet. He took advantage of the situation and ran as fast as he could.
“FREE!!” he shouted. “WOOHOO!! I’M OUT!!”
Never he was as happy as he was now. He was full of joy and realized he finally had escaped the authorities. Authorities who are after an innocent man.
Quin sat down on a rock and enjoyed the peace around him. He was in a forest, far from the ship he had travelled with.
“So here I am…” he said to himself. “Valear… A new world… I am free.”
He smiled and stood up. He unsheathed the katana he had stolen from the ship and practiced a few moves. “I still haven’t forgotten.” He said. “I am still the great swordsman I used to be.”
He sheathed the katana and grabbed some food from the bag, also stolen from the ship. He resumed his travel, with a bread in his hand.
“I need to proof my innocence…” he thought while he was on his way to Tamasha Village. “…They accused me of making an attempt on the president’s live. Actually it was Bloden Durr, that bastard. I wanted to prevent the murder from happening but I was just in the wrong place at the wrong moment. At least I managed to save the president. Unfortunately those dumbasses thought I was the murderer. They arrested me and they expelled me from the army and sentenced me to death. The first time I escaped… On the right moment. At night, with three other men…”
Escaping The Prison
“George, you ready?” Quinlan asked.
“Yeah, Quin. Don’t worry. We’re ready to go.”
“Great.” Quinlan said with a smile.
A few moments later the guards came to check up on the prisoners.
“Guards! Please!” Quinlan screamed.
“What?” one of the guards asked.
“My friend here, George, he is ! He… he’s dying!”
The guards looked into the cell and saw Quinlan standing there, holding George in his arms, who acted like he was dying.
The rule was that if a prisoner was , he would be brought to a doctor by a fellow prisoner and one guard. In most situations the fellow prisoner would fall ill because he was too close to the prisoner. The guard was there to watch over them, so they wouldn’t escape.
They were on their way to the doctor and when they had reached the doctor’s cottage, the guard went back to his post, assuming the prisoners were save with the doctor. Little did the guards know that doctor Larry was part of the plot.
Larry pushed away his bed and a trapdoor appeared. The prisoners thanked Larry and they escaped. The doctor closed the trapdoor and pushed back his bed. He hit himself and fell unconscious on the floor. Everybody thought the prisoners had knocked out the doctor and escaped, but they didn’t know how.
Innocent Fugitive
“George and I split up since we would have a better chance if we were alone. Unfortunately I ran into the authorities and they put me back in a jail. A different jail than the previous one, and heavy guarded. On a certain day, one of the guards made a small mistake. A fatal mistake…
He left the key in the door.
I left the cell and freed the other prisoners. They unleashed a fury on the guards, giving me the chance to get the hell out of there. I decided not to stay too long in the country and immediately left for Valear. I heard Bloden Durr had headed there too and I need to find him in order to proof my innocence.”
And there he stood. In front of the gates of Tamasha Village.
The story continues…
