the beasts in the forest (open)

Damien walked through the forest, exhausted after the day's trek through the thick underbrush.
Do I dare stop for a rest? He wondered. He had hoped to make it out of the forest before day's end.
After another hour, though. it was apparent that that was not going to happen. Wearily he set down his pack and sat up against a tree, resting his razor-sharp sword next to him on the earth. Within moments he was asleep.

A snarl tore him from his dreamless slumber and he opened his eyes, not moving. Something was there. No, not something... more than one. And they were close.
He reached out for his sword, but was too late. One of the things leapt for him, pinning his good arm beneath it's massive paw. Several growls sounded next to him, and the beast that had pinned him driped saliva onto his neck. It's hot breath puffed into his face, smelling of rotten meat.

He tried to kick out, but the only affect it had was to anger the thing. With a bark-howl, it slashed his cchest, opening a gash that bled freely. He could not get to his sword with his bad arm, and he was surrounded.
"All right, you beastie, i'm not going to go without a fight!" said damien, and the things jumped for him at the sound of his savage, desperate battle cry.

wompy saw the strange beasts attack the man wompy saw that this may be a desperate fight so he chared at the nearest beast not even bothering to draw his weapon he tackled the thing and started to wrestle it biting and clawing the thing with his scaly jaws and claws

Damien felt the beast pinning him suddenly get thrown off, and he grabbed for his sword, clutching it in his right arm. The gash at his chest poured blood as he hacked at the things.

Then he noticed the one who had helped, and very likely saved his live. It looked vaugely human, but looked more lizard-like. Ha slashed one of the things, grinning savagely as it fell to the ground.

"Thank you," He shouted to the one who had helped him. He turned to hack at another of the wolflike things, but felt his head grow fuzzy and dizzy. Glancing down, he realized that his wound ran very deep, and he had lost a great amount of blood.
No, not now, he thought. The attackers grew fuzzy in his vision. He felt himself fall-and he fainted.

no problem wompy shouted back turning for a moment he saw that the boy fall to the ground, this sent wompy inot a rage for he was not going to have someone die at the claws of these horrible beasts. grabbing the one he was fighting at the moment he lifted it into the air by the back of its neck. Wompy then proceeded to bite its neck and rip its throat out. throwing the useless corpse away he then brought down his fists on the head of another crushing its skull. He proceeded to kill another two in a manner similar to this but soon he saw that these things just kept comming so he scooped up the boy and barreled through the brush to safety

Damien was vaugely aware of being carried, rather quickly in fact, and after a time he opened his eyes. Pain seared through hid chest, nd he moaned in pain. His head throbbed. All of a sudden, he remembered what had hapened and sat bolt upright, cursing as he gaspen in pain, clutching his wound.

Glancing over, he saw his savior, and again thanked him for saving his life. It was the second time now."Who..Who are you? He asked. And why did you help me? Not that i'm ungrateful, but...just curious i suppose."

"I am called Damien. And I would not dare augh at the one who just saved my life not once but twice. I thank you. Is there anything I can do to repay you?" He asked. "And, though i do not like to ask the one I am indebted to, but do you have any bandages or something to sop this bleeding?" Even as he said it he made temporary bandages with his torn shirt strips.

well you got lucky i have one roll of bandages left wompy said digging through his pack> he took them out and started to bandage his wounds. so why were you out in the forest in the firste place he asked

Damien laughed bitterly. "Trying to get away from the world for a day, get some peace and quiet." He winced as Wompy tightened the bangages. "And going around would take far too long. I thought to be through these woods by day's end.

"I could ask you the same thing," He added. "It is unusual for me to see anyone when i come into these woods, and you are the third person i have seen, though the first i have talked to. Do you have a reason for being here?"

Samuel froze, his bright blue eyes shining. He grabbed his blade, darting his vision in all directions. There were voices. He could hear them. Quickly he crept forwards, peering round a tree.

The voices were louder now. There was definitely two of them. Neither seemed too familiar. He ducked round the trunk, pushing strands of his long, brown hair from his eyes.

He tightened his grip on his sword, careful not to make himself too noticeable.

Well I am here because i am somewhat of a fugitive now. I had no money and i took to starting fights and robbing people. I even had my brother help me, he's a tall batlike creature,anyway i was going to hide here till the bounties were taken off my head.

He crept further round the tree trunk, peering round the edge. He could barely hear what they were saying. He finally caught a glimpse of a large lizard-like man and another man, not as lizard-like as his companion. He stayed as still as he could, making sure his breathing wasn't too loud.

He waited, jugding weather either of the two were dangerous. Better safe than sorry. He kept his sword drew, watching.

suddenly wompy thought that he smelled something, standing up he looked around the clrearing. Wompy was pretty sure he saw something so he shouted "i know your there(even though he didn't know) so come out before i have to find you, and if i find you it won't be pretty

Damien heard it too...the subtle crunch of leaves. Immediately he stood, all pain forgotten and his sword drawn, and lunged for the area, slashing madly.
"Come out, you coward!" He snarled, blinking as a wave of dizziness washed over him.

Damn blood loss, He thought to himself, propping himself up against a tree. "Who goes there?" He had no idea if he hit anyone or not.

Taking out a flask, he took long drink to get warmth back into his blood and stood again, staring out into the forest.i'm glad you joined. the more the merrier :) -

Samuel jumped back, nearly stumbling over. He let out a growl, taking a few steps around the tree, keeping his sword drawn at all times. He glanced down at his arm. A long gash began to show through the new hole in his jacket.

He took a deep breath, holding back the anger.
"Samuel. Not any real danger." He replied, lowering his sword so he didn't look as hostile.
