((For starters, yes it is WoW, the story presented itself too easilly.))
Rainion Frostwind, kaldorei, aspiring druid, and loner. Young Rainion was born on the eve of the Fire-Festival. Parties erupting and cheers all around. Not a soul in Darnassus had anything to fear. Tis time of celebration and feasting. Joy and care-free. Few worried the time of night or day, hustling about the busy streets, eagerly finishing the pre-celebration decorations. Yet just out of the city, sitting at the very edge of the docks, a single female kaldorei busied herself with feet in the cold ocean waters, arms resting lightly over her expanding belly. Esenia, was her name. No parents of her own and so very young to bare a child. Something seemed different about this young kaldorei, however. Much paler than the rest, and carrying a far more Human physique. Perhaps the rare crossing of race? None-the-less, her appearance had otherwise granted this woman little in terms of trust and respect within her kin, and otherwise left her beaten and cast aside. With no home to call her own, not even with child on way, Esenia wandered the city each day and night, searching only for shelter from rain, or snow.
How odd it must be..for such a young woman to bare a child, yet no suitor...Perhaps he had fallen ill? Some may think such. Yet this was not the case. Young Esenia found herself down a path a lone woman best not once visiting the fair city of Stormwind. So innocent and pure in the eyes of those ruffians and vagabonds. So tempting....so frail.... Needless to say, she was prime 'meat' for such men, and soon found herself lost in darkness. Bound and gagged with no garments to veil her slender form. Esenia was left at the will of these men whom she'd not once bore witness to their eyes. So quickly it happened, yet so long it seemed to last.... A horrid event..no, it must be a nightmare. No more than a bad dream. She'd done nothing to deserve this and could not believe it no matter the facts..... Whence she had woke, she found herself upon the docks of Auberdine, bruised and sore from near head to toe, enough marks on her still bare body to show she was handled with clearly no care.
Covering herself as best she could, the young woman slipped aboard an arriving ship to Darnassus and hid herself away in the cargo hold. Weeping in silence, mourning the loss of her purity and innocence. No more could she claim to aspire a priestess. No longer her body fit for such grace. Disgust...hatred..for all those about her that outcast her from a life she felt she'd deserved. No more..no more would she trust the walls of this world. So cruel and malicious to such a pure, innocent girl.
Time had passed as this woman hid 'way. No kaldorei or human would throw glances nor stay. She was filth, to all those she must see. Day after day all she wished was to be...Be a part of this community no more than that. Just be accepted and not treated as rats. Slowly she grew in both belly and sight. Maturing in two ways...such a terrible fright. Yet still she hid, away from the world. Not caring to show them such a curse she'd been born. This child was hers, but not by choice. No more would she even attempt a voice. Spare words for this filth this pitiful world? No chance in Azeroth would Esenia be scorned.
Yet months have passed, so slow yet so fast...It seems now her future, is already her past. The festival began and not a soul could see, this woman whom birthing a baby at sea. To her own lacked fortune Esenia was graced, by a charming young sea-man with gentle face. Caring for one he'd not ever seen, surely this man could not have intentions unseen. Calming and gentle were his actions to be. Esenia had lost fear and felt her heart sputter a squee. Could it be true that one had shown grace? Even spared time to glace at her face?...Perhaps..but she would never know. During the birthing, dear Esenia found darkness. Engulfing her vision and body gone numb...no this cannot be, not so sudden...She was not done....So much more to do yet time slipped away. Taking this poor woman to the waves of the bay.
No mother nor father could call this Kaldorei infant their own. Yet downcast from heavens the rain blessed stone. Cascading the mountains and bathing young child. His cries were muffled by thunder, so crafty with guile. The rain and the storm had cast down its intent. And silenced the cries, of motherless infant. This sea-man so kind and gentle to She, now had this child to take off to sea. Find him a home or perhaps raise him as his own. Only time would tell...
